Last week, I pointed at signs that Kamala Harris will run the campaign Katie Hobbs ran in Arizona: hiding from the press, speaking vaguely, avoiding questions, and letting a lockstep news media dirty up her opponent as a campaign-adjacent service.

Trump is melting down! He’s spiraling into a nervous breakdown! He’s panicked, imploding, falling apart, going crazy, in desperate need of a psychological intervention! So Part One: Every time Trump speaks, the uniform headline framing will be BIZARRE AND TERRIFYING SPECTACLE AS DANGEROUS LUNATIC RANTS AT INSANE PRESS CONFERENCE. It doesn’t matter what he says or does — the framing is set in stone. Trump’s press conference in late September? It’ll be INSANE, and he’ll MELT DOWN!!!!!!

Part Two, Kamala Harris wants to get an interview — one — scheduled “by the end of the month.” She commits to doing as much as one serious media interview definitely for sure before Halloween or so:
