Words matter.

What’s the Constitution but the most powerful words a man has ever put to paper.

They call the Bible “The Word” for a very good reason.

“The pen is mightier then the sword!”

The letter shows the inversion of victimhood that's become so common. The claim that government officials are being attacked--with unpleasant words!

I am extremely tired of that inversion.

How is it that the school board behavior seems to be near universal? State by state? It’s insane.

Our high quality, high achieving and non-woke school district's accreditation was threatened because the board's democrats, in the minority, whined to the accrediting body that their temper tantrums always left them boxed out and unable to inflict their poison on our kids. Those three evil Democrat members wrote to get our accreditation pulled (screwing up college admissions for the kids they supposedly serve) to force the Republican majority members come to heel. The Superintendent straightened the accreditation out and one of the offenders was redistricted out of our lives and Georgia is considering alternative accrediting bodies, as this happened in a few other counties here as well., This is all likely from a playbook from the national association of school boards. GA bailed on that, too last year.

My sister-in-law worked for a lobbying group for education in DC many years ago. She won’t talk about it that much except to say that public education is and has been so corrupt as an organization for a long, long time, from the top down. The National teachers unions and the national school boards people are all from the same cloth. And they all have to go.

This goes back to the 50's, at least... The attempt to take over education (get 'em while they're young and impressionable) and the courts, and the govt, and so on... Great book about this sort of thing, and it sort of seems like it's one political party, but it's really more like a bunch of Way Too Wealthy connivers... The book is "Democracy In Chains: The Deep History of the Radical Right's Stealth Plan for America" by Nancy MacLean. And interestingly enough, while these "Radical Right" outrageously wealthy people (like Charles and David Koch) were voting Republican for several decades, it's the same kind of people now supporting the Democrats...

There's a big clue right there...

Inspirational, Mr. Bray. Thank you. And the video was quite remarkable. A self-professed atheist understands sincerity and courage better than many who profess a God-centric religion. Words matter, but the courage behind those words is priceless.

Beware of the tyranny of the weak. They are often better organized.

We should speak out. A nation of apathetic citizens is more terrifying than any would be tyrant to me. If our message to these weak tyrants is not unsettling then something is wrong.

Fighting social tyranny can be as brave as those who shed blood on a battlefield. Make no mistake we are in THAT battle at this time in history.

Most here have resisted, because we have "seen" the fork in the road.

One can not resist tyranny if they can not "see" it. We should help people who will listen to understand that tyranny is measured in inches...not miles.

"Having spent years in combat there’s no way to truly describe the physical courage it takes to go on combat missions not knowing if you’ll survive. I’ve escaped death on many occasions and have buried too many friends unable to escape that fate. Some of today’s senior ranking officers displayed physical courage in combat but worked their way to positions where moral courage is required. Moral courage is the harder of the two to display." Well there's no doubt about that. And thank you for your service. I mean that.

I will never know that type of courage. But courage has different complexions.

You would be hard pressed to find someone more grateful to those who have served our country than me. My father is permanently disabled due to combat in Vietnam.

The distinction I'm trying to make is that soldiers don't really have a choice. Those who stand up to social tyranny do.

How many of your fellow combatants stood up against the destructive covid tyranny/policies over the last 2 years?

Its an honor and a privilege brother. I don't have the personal experience to say for certain, but I'm inclined to agree with Darin. I'll tell you another quick anecdote that stuck out to me. I was standing outside of our command group, and asked a field grade officer who was about who I needed to talk to about getting on the commanding general's schedule. He pointed in the room to who I needed to talk to. I asked, "so can I just go in there and ask?" He responded "don't ask me that, I'd rather face down hostile fire than go into that room." He was dead serious. I think there is a lot that goes into explaining something that is superficially so counterintuitive. I won't delve into that here, I just wanted to let you know that there are definitely combat vets with a ton of experience that would agree standing up to social tyranny can be just as if not more difficult than exhibiting physical courage on the battlefield.

That is a great story.

Was he telling you to just go talk to the general or talk to the person who approves someone getting an audience with the general?

I can speak from experience about how hard it is to stand up to social pressure.

I truly believe the masks were immoral - especially with children. So I stood on principle and fought it at every turn.

My wife and I would not back down or go away. We went to dozens of mask protest across the country.

But I have to admit there were times when I was overcome with anxiety to walk into stores, etc., without one.

I still can't believe more people did not stand up against that. I learned that most people are cowards and/or apathetic.

I guess that's my point about apathy of citizens to fight against social tyranny. Very few are willing to pay a "price" to take a stand on principle.

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.

- Charles Mackay

Seems like the c19 propaganda will prevent a lot of people from recovering. Diabolical mind rape.

Chris, or any other Substack writer.. here is a "fear porn" link from todays Tampa WFLA news about a surging virus:

Note the admission that it is mostly mild and requires only "self care".

Is there another modified mRNA in the works?

It's not mRNA, but the the drug companies do have some RSV vaccines in the pipeline. I don't really understand the science, but the Pfizer one involves using proteins for viral fusion which sounds a bit experimental to a simple person like me. From the "fear porn", it does seem like some kind of set up.

If words don't matter, why does every military coup start off at the state broadcaster, and why do totalitarian governments burn books, ban newspapers, ban meetings, monitor communications, pass 'hate speech' laws, censor their enemies, and create huge posters and TV ads and internet posts full of fucking WORDS?

I was trying to explain to a friend of mine just the other day how even if all he's doing is reading posts like this and sharing them with friends he is helping the fight.

OK, he's more in the logistics end than in the kicking-down-the-door SAS side of things, but the SAS (or Delta/Navy SEALs for you guys) can't kick down doors without logistic support.

And - anyway - beyond that, how did we get here where we are?

We got here where we are because the left took over, silently, slowly, patiently, and determinedly, step by tiny, incremental step.

Every single tiny little thing you do - even a raised eyebrow indicating you aren't bought and sold by the narrative and the Power and the scum - is a tiny, tiny, incremental step towards beating these fuckers.

Words are very important. Why do you suppose the following words exist: "misinformation" and "disinformation" (and the less common but perhaps more honest "malinformation" which literally translates to "bad" information, "bad" being a relative term requiring the question "bad for whom?")? They *should* mean "lies." But they don't. They mean something much more dangerous: "Going against the common consensus or the popular narrative" or "voicing an inconvenient fact" or "speaking truth to power." That last one shows the power of words. My goldfish is young enough to remember when "speaking truth to power" was a good thing, but by a simple change in phrasing, it has become the worst thing you can do. They want to deplatform, debank, and basically deperson you for "disinformation," which is to say they want to deperson you for speaking truth to power. So what's just as important as words is understanding what particularly authorities are really saying with the words they use.
