A "by the way" additional thought: I live in the wokest of the woke-ass deep blue zones, and when my small town school board voted to return to in-person schooling, so many parents showed up to give public comment that the meeting ran past midnight, with a huge crowd still waiting to speak. So they....

....adjourned until the next night, then came back again to a second meeting to make sure they heard from EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. who wanted to speak. Then, and only then, did they vote.

It's possible. The fight for openness goes on.

Walk away and build your own school. These idiots are the minority, the parents and kids are not. Destroy them by excluding them from any discussion or influence. They lose.

This is one instance where the phrase "They hate us for our freedoms" legitimately applies - applied to the school board.

Don't forget these types of people are also the best surveillance system for the State.

Two sides of the same coin.

Who are these people?

They are the people that take your voice when you self-censor.

Won't be too long before the detection of self-censorship is proof positive that you need to be "reported".

Look. It’s no accident that these petty functionaries behave this way. Like everything else in this country, it’s no longer the phenomenon that counts, it’s the epiphenomenon. Eduction for the masses, which is why we have taxpayer funded public schools, it doesn’t matter. The schools fail at teaching math and reading and grammar. What matters is that the educational system provides the Left with the perfect opportunity to aggregate impressionable young people and indoctrinate them, get their fellow travelers jobs, control large pots of money which they can misappropriate toward political ends, and create massive bureaucracies to strangle well, education. Not an accident. Everything is like this now. The military loses all its wars, spends lots of money and hires lots of bureaucrats to make rules while they lose wars and waste your money. The border patrol does what now? The treasury does what exactly now? The Congress, the courts, and all the three letter agencies do what now?

They hate you, waste your money, are incompetent and malicious, try to damage you in whatever way intersects with their nominal chartered functions, and ignore your concerns.

You can’t negotiate with people who hate you. You can’t emerge victorious when you get the crumbs once in a blue moon, while they get the whole cake all the time.

There are maybe 5 million of these people in the country. There are 330 million of us. They are destroying the country with maybe another I don’t know, let’s say 1-2 million in media, university academics, and Hollywood. They are literally destroying America. It is not accidental. It is purposeful. If you aren’t in a public “school” in Baltimore, you can do the math. We take back our freedoms or we are slaves. There is no in between. Sorry, that’s the reality.

It only takes 10% of parents to pull their kids out and homeschool to bring the ISD to their knees - only 10%!

It’s time to start naming names and publishing the exact responses these people give. Who is the “executive administrative assistant” who responded? Publish the email. Publish EVERYTHING, with no edits or redactions. These people must be exposed and suffer the public scorn that they deserve for their actions. What were the names of the teachers who gamed the system and didn’t speak? Publish it all.

So frustrating. There must be expensive and timely lawsuits, but there are winning in some of thse things across the country. There should be an absolute limit on the number of teachers signing up to speak.

Our city assembly continued having meetings during the lockdowns without the public able to attend, except via zoom, which doesn't accommodate everyone. These people will be voting the way they want regardless of public commentary and they hate having to sit through it, now they don't have to! We had one assembly person say, "Sorry, folks, we are going to vote the way we were going to vote regardless of what you say!." So nothing changes their minds, not logic, not emotion, not math, they are clueless.

Idk if school board members are bonded in Virginia, but if they are, this might be a useful tactic to straighten them out.

Thanks for clarifying that the teachers' union is no friend of parents or of the public or of democracy.

Throughout the remarks by the teacher lamenting competition from private schools and the lack of an indoor track (at around 34 minutes into the video), look at the three women sitting behind him on the right. They are poorly dressed and on their smart phones texting each other, yucking it up in the middle of a public meeting. The one in front is chewing gum and smacking her lips like a teenager. Are they union members or Moms for Liberty? I think I know the answer.

Regardless, it’s a perfect example of the trash culture we live in. Those women have no respect for the public, the board members, and either the children they represent or the union they represent, and even less respect for themselves.

Norman Rockwell is rolling over in his grave.
