The most gratifying thing in a lot of these exchanges is the laughter on the faces (and in the room) of those being questioned. They have (and should have) absolute contempt for the question-askers. They say profoundly stupid things. And those being questioned know they have the upper hand. They know. And the dumb is just getting dumber in government. But hanging onto stories and ideas that are so indefensible must scramble the brain somehow. Right? I mean, they’re really just kind of dissociating from reality now, right?
Good lord. I know I look down on the college freshmen our high schools produce, but I will say it now: Any one of my former students could easily replace either one of those elected officials. How the hell does that even happen? Do they get stupid AFTER getting elected? Are they just high?
I remember when I was a kid people complaining that politicians were just smarmy bastards who were good with words. How does that seem like a step up?
I think DWS' attack on Taibbi was never intended to elicit information, but primarily to provide sound bites for Regime media. It was insular and really had nothing to do with Taibbi. Her acting was 'sold to the cheap seats'' to fire up the lefty rage machine, and hopefully trip up Taibbi or Shellenburger.
Our politicians are highly skilled at knowing which boots to lick, which asses to kiss, and which donors to glad hand for maximum benefit. That's it. That's their skill set. That and being born the right color or sex or whatever box needs checking on the Diversity Bingo card du jour.

Is that the same Debbie Wasserman Schultz who was ousted from the DNC Chairmanship for getting caught plotting to cheat Bernie Sanders out of the nomination in favor of HRC? And now she's attempting to lecture Matt Taibbi on ethical conduct? Go figure!
What I find fascinating is that somehow she's managed to get enough (apparently brain dead) constituents to forget (or ignore) her complete lack of integrity and send her back to Washington. How'd THAT happen?
They are there precisely because they are stupid. If you’re trying to stay on script while you take over the country/continent/world, you don’t need a bunch of smart ass independent thinkers popping off with actual thoughts that might be at odds with The Agreed Upon Narrrative. No, you want worker drones, or in the case of politicians, hooker drones. No disparagement intended to actual hookers. So when Learless Feeder makes a proclamation from his bunker under the Federal Reserve or Disney World, and all the copy goes out, the drones recite the liturgy with solemnity and sincerity. How do these people get elected you ask? In Arizona they don’t. They are selected and the process is adapted yo the selected candidate. Katie Hobbs is an airhead with zero charisma, zero intelligence, zero ethics, zero anything you’d want your kids to grow up to be, but she’s the governor, after refusing to speak/debate/campaign/ do shadow puppets. Nothing.
So that’s the new model. Shut up, do what we tell you and you get to be an elected official.
It’s bad enough to have a government that is deconstructing the greatest nation in the history of the planet. The fact that the faces of this government are trashy morons is the salt in the wound. And the Republicans are just the other side of the same coin. They don’t hate the Democrats. That’s theater. They hate us. We need a new party. There’s no way around it. No, they don't make our laws; they don't even read them through most of the time. Their staffs and K Street lobbyists, large donors and others write the laws and the elected "representatives" sign them and find out what's in them later (if ever).
This is a notable observation about our betters. Even the Prince of Darkness himself, Sen. Schumer, expressed his outrage at Tucker Carlson's exercise of free speech by reading from a piece of paper. Once we find out the sources of these pieces of paper we can quickly bring our freedom loving nightmare to an end.
Wasserman Schultz is a vile, partisan hack. She reads a piece off a piece of paper that is 100% fiction. She acts as those this fantasy of leftists like her is in fact 100% fact. Elon “spoon fed” the information. It’s a total lie. Elon gave real journalists access to whatever information they wanted, so the people that are actually not partisan hacks could get it unfiltered and make up there own minds. I can’t imagine how exhausting it must have been for Taibbi to scour through 1000’s and 1000’s of mundane emails. And the idea that he is some sort of right wing nut job is laughable. These politicians are low information, bottom feeding losers. Almost to a man.
