Good grief, I fear for my grandchildren. Life is hard enough when you have an intact family. I can tell you as someone whose father died when I was ten that life is more difficult with only one parent in the house. We had help in that there were eleven siblings and we cared for each other, and my mother was a strong, godly woman. We also had a longtime helper - I refuse to refer to her as 'the maid' because she was much, much more, but most people would see her in that role. She was a loved and respected member of the family and was a comforting presence.

Now, it seems, no matter how stable the home environment, there is some 'professional' do-gooder at the ready to convince every kid who is having a bad day that their parents must be some kind of ogres from whom they need protection and that they (the beneficent - and government funded - do-gooders) will gladly be their protectors henceforth. This is clearly not God's design...

What's it going to be like in, say, 10 years, with all of these mutilated children in their 20s and 30s filled with rage and regret?

A lot of them won't be with us in ten years.

I'm afraid you're correct about that.

I work with one in her mid-late 20's who recently tried to get me in trouble/fired for not using her preferred pronouns and/or declining to congratulate her for her "top surgery." After numerous email exchanges because adult conversations are simply too "traumatic," I can't even bring myself to be angry with her, just deeply saddened at how intensely troubled she is and what actual trauma she almost had to have endured to bring her to such a point.

Sad, maddening, terrifying.

I don't know how you can bear to live in CA much longer. 🙁

"I don't know how you can bear to live in CA much longer."

The conundrum presented to us is to leave, which allows the corruption to grow even faster as opposition diminishes, or stay and continue to present lawful opposition.

With each new malevolently corrupt governmental action, more of those with the wherewithal to do so, leave. The problem with this, for the rest of the nation, is that the wherewithal to leave represents the means of resistance and reform.

Along with those who would resist if they remained, is a sizable cohort of those who are abandoning the state because their support for these destructive policies has degraded their own means to survive and thrive. These modern-day carpetbaggers become parasites on the places to which they migrate, first using their wealth to destabilize housing and employment markets in their destination locales, then enacting California's damaging ideologies when they become entrenched in sufficient numbers to force the locals out.

One has only to review how this very same migratory influence took place WITHIN California, to understand the mechanisms involved. Each demographic shift has an inevitable "domino effect."

What few seem to realize, is that California's current destruction was heavily influenced by in-migration of those with a certain mindset, from other states. Who controls California government with their money and social influence with the greatest effect? Where do they reside and how do they earn their living? How did they get here?

Being born here is largely irrelevant, because that's only one generation. The rot accelerated three generations ago. If you live here, you see the demographics of power and also watch the children of those whose wealth created the problem, leave in search of the opportunities their parents' entrenchment here have denied them. They take their parents' destructive ethos with them and contaminate their new homes with it.

It is unwise for other states to welcome refugees from the oppression of California's reigning junta, without understanding the threat they present to the stability and prosperity of others.

Excellent analysis.

We moved away from our quaint, small-town suburb of Austin, Texas last year because it was being overrun by carpetbaggers and diversity enthusiasts.

When the crime came to our neighborhood (eight sheds/garages burglarized in one night) and I no longer felt safe going to local stores after sundown (even armed), we sold our house that we loved so much and moved to a tiny little burg in rural Georgia ... thinking we would be safe from "progress."

But it is marching toward us every day.

And we had no idea of the political corruption going on in Georgia until we were already here.

Again: Sad. Maddening. Terrifying.

This is codifying an outright lure into a snare...give a tween a place to turn to "get away" from the [implied: "unreasonable"] parents and that teen is now vulnerable to the forces that now keep him/her hidden away. Traps preying on "the depressed" like this, have kept the sex industry re-stocked for years--as older ones burn out, newer ones have been lured in and groomed to take their place. Usually severely addicted to coke, meth or heroin--drugs they were introduced to while "performing" to mask the pain. Once used up--or so obviously messed up they can't perform--they're simply cast aside. Deliberate suicide or accidental overdoses often follow. It's just sick.

TPTB are trying normalize this crap. I’d probably say something to the manager with my big mouth-lol! I have no filter. People need to say something and stop being scared of their own shadows.

True, but no one wants to be the nail that gets hammered down. That's why a preference cascade would be so terrifying to TPTB - they won't see it coming.

Isn't it interesting how there will be all of these so-called shelters for these kids to flock to when they get mad at their parents; or in the leftists thoughts, they are mentally ill and need someone to care for them because their parents don't care; yet putting obviously mentally ill adults living and pooping in the streets and making their cities disgusting and dangerous in and institution or place where they can be safe and treated is out of the question.

More slouching. Thanks for sharing this. I hope you have a large number of readers in that state. Of course, large parts of the population there can't read, so that might be problematic. Regardless, keep up the fight.

Just another version of the game played by Pharma and the Child Mutilators who are trying to increase the ‘foot traffic’ to their government funded businesses so they can access public funds. Can’t have someone who might have an interest in the patient’s well-being get in between them and the money.

And...the politicians are undoubtedly getting a cut.

You're right to say ther is no interest in patient's well being. Have you see the Columbia MD grad program oath flying around twitter today? Eesh...not good. You couldnt get any further from the patient as an individual than that.

I have a friend who's a nurse, who woke up during covid specifically when her boss said 'we're doing this for the well being of the elderly' as they locked them down in homes, where many died. She knew she smelled a rat, if there is any consideration for the individual in health care, it's coming from practitioner.

Oy.

I want my doctor to diagnose and treat me, perhaps give me advice on preventative measures, not to “disrupt injustices.”

But hey, at least those kids are “following the science” and wearing their masks.

Maybe that's worse?! Not sure yet....My hope in post secondary education is in Florida right now. Incidentally that's where much of the nation's home schooling curriculum comes from. Maybe not a coincidence. I have to ask, why not leave California?

We're all going to wind up moving to a few states and then sending missionaries out to proselytize the rest of the world. "I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, make straight the way of the parents!"

I’m in Commifornia! This state has gone insane, and personally, I think the state is red! BUT, the politicians have an agenda and they’re cheating for sure! I think CA is a Petri dish for what TPTB can get away with. We know two couples that have left CA with FOR their children! I commend them.

Not to mention the crushing blow to childhood brought about by our glorious government during the covid catastrophe: masks forever, parks, beaches, playgrounds closed. I'd add "schools closed" but I'm not so sure state schools are any better/worse than psych clinics for destroying mental health.

Chris,

This is just one idiot’s opinion but what we are experiencing is a spiritual war. It has been going on for some time but the enemy more recently feels emboldened to be much more in our face about it. I know this kind of talk makes many people uncomfortable but it is just the reality of the situation and no amount of pretending it isn’t there is a good strategy.

Just because something is common doesn’t make it normal.

I pray and hope for a spiritual awakening in this country because if not God will take care of this and start from scratch. He’s done it before.

I am watching with interest what is going on at Asbury University Kentucky. Their regular worship service from last Wednesday never stopped. This is a live feed.

The rule Alinsky didn't bother to spell out. "Eliminate the family!" Most "socialist utopias" have attempted to do away with the nuclear family. With varying degrees of success.

Parents, those foolish enough to bring children into this world, have been known to challenge the all powerful State. Which absolutely can NOT be allowed.

This latest effort to exclude parents from children's lives is merely another step in a long process to create the perfect slave state. When you control food, shelter, "education", and "health care", you are well on the way to creating a world that considers the omniscient State to be the source of all things.

Thank you for this. Weaving these threads is important to understand the difference between isolated rot and cultural rot and also to understand the threat level. I have had friends half convince me I was in a steady state of panic over this trend, then fast forward through covid and now in Canada you cant access 'mental health' services without a child's consent. And not that you'd want to. But this includes screenings for adhd, dyslexia, or behavioural issues that could be initiated by the teacher. The upshot is an institutionally generated conveyor belt, that sends our children into the murky world of experts, pill pushers and identity saboteurs. Recently one of my friends, a middle school teacher in the seperate system had 80% of the young girls in her class identify as boys. The common thread? They were all hanging out in a local public private community centre run by gender affirming social workers. When trying to piece it all together, I see top down - the jubilant drug companies and the empowered ideologues and bottom up the idiotic parents all celebrating the destruction of the family. The good news is we were caught flat footed but we're waking up. Hopefully we can buck this thing before too many of our children are destroyed.
