Just watched this, Chris. It was excellent. Thanks for the link.

Chris, I love your POV, and interviews, but. You speak of “our enemies” and a threat to our standard of living. This standard of living that some have grown to see as a birthright is based on the exploitation and outright theft of other sovereign nations resources, whose residents then begin to view the occupying forces and their boss men as enemies. It’s that simple. It gets harder and harder to sustain and rationalize.

Even within our continental borders this “standard of living” we enjoy in our blue suburbs is not available to millions, who can’t save $500 for an emergency, or pay rent. Half the homeless have jobs. The Dollar Store’s Wall St. report is dismal, and they report their shoppers are stretched to the max living on credit to afford essentials, such as that garbage “food” only available in their food deserts.

Does might make this right? If so, the results of our incompetence is deserved. Wouldn’t it be a good time for us to learn to thrive on the wealth of THIS nation? Take back our farmland, our factories, to teach our children how to read and do useful things?

The crazy thing is, is if these authoritarians came out now and said that all of the propaganda and censorship was to test our democracy so that we truly believe/appreciate in it, the adherents would believe it.

That's the level of stupid we're dealing with.

Stupid + Evil

This will not end well, I fear.

Yes, they are accelerating to the necessary conclusion of their madness. Deus vult!

Yes, the General Le May approach of bombing a village to the stone age to save it from the Viet Cong. How far we've come.

Well, Trump is on the ballot but a few months later in Butler, PA they went with Stalin's "no man, no problem" plan. They might revisit that one again.

Seeing as how Harris/Biden revoked RFK’s secret service protection within hours of his speech last Friday, you can bet they are planning another similar “event”.

I’m afraid you are right. Trump/Kennedy is unstoppable by established voting rules.

How this ends could be civil war if we don’t nip this shit in the bud. It seems like w/ every BLATANT overreach against our rights & freedoms, no one is up in arms (literally). I know there’s lots of chatter about it on Substack & other conservative outlets but where is the outrage, where are mass protests?

Ryan Gardner's avatar

You are correct.

But right now the real war is the battle against apathy.

If that battle is lost...then it's over before it starts.

Cindi's avatar

Yeah, that’s what I mean. Other than authors & commentators worried about it, the rest of the country seems “meh”

Uggh I’m afraid your correct RG

JuQu's avatar

I’m no longer convinced that there is as much apathy as appears. I recently spent a week in a major health care facility in a major city. The folks working at nearly all levels express affordability issues on nearly everything. Those with young children are also worried about crime and lousy public education. This is a D run city and many of these folks likely vote D. They could be persuaded though. There could be Republicans or non partisan protest leaders. I don’t see Trump, Vance or R candidates addressing these folks in any way meaningful to them. That can appear to be apathy. Perhaps the real apathy is with our candidates who continue to sing the same old songs to their bases.

As a retired public school teacher I can tell you that an entire generation has been groomed to believe that the government knows best and will take care of them. I always read aloud stories that included bread lines so that I could help them see government isn’t always on the people’s side, but I was one voice in thousands and sadly too many young people are happy with the communist democratic party.

Clayton Oberg's avatar

Thank you for trying. Any pushback from your fellow teachers?

I agree!! That's why we're doomed whoever wins the election. The difference will be fast or slow. The crazy obedience to all kinds of stupid rules during COVID convinced me of this.

horizontal Harris now is saying she’ll confiscate our guns if Congress doesn’t do so in the first 100 days. This raises two issues:

1. She cannot truthfully take the oath of office, so is unqualified to be president.

2. She is demanding CW2.0… NO ONE is giving up their guns..

No name here's avatar

Not going to happen. Governors would refuse, so would just about every gun owner.

I know I would - covid taught me that if you don't stand up and say no, they won't stop. I'm not going to be laying in a ditch next to my family, which is where everyone with any sense knows it would wind up.

So it would be Wacos with dead kids (and their parents) all over the country. No law would be followed after that. It would be chaos.

Of course, Harris is the dumbest bitch imaginable, so I wouldn't put it past her to try.

Alexander Scipio's avatar

Yup. My wife & I have agreed: no one is taking our guns…

No name here's avatar

I don't know how I'm going to handle that conversation when the day comes, but I know, like vaxxing the kids, it's a red line. I'd rather die.

Honestly I don't think Harris will do it. She's an idiot, to be sure, and dumb enough to float it, but being dumb enough to run your mouth and being dumb enough to go door-to-door are very two different things.

Cindi's avatar

Don’t forget the millions of military, single male illegal aliens that have been dispersed throughout the country….

No name here's avatar

All they can do is create chaos - The moment they are officially turned against US citizens, the federal government is toast and they know it.

Alan Devincentis's avatar

Well, she won’t be going door to door. And if they think local cops will, they have another think coming. That leaves the stasi. You will find them dead on front door steps around the nation for a very short period of time.

Charles Summers's avatar

She will do exactly what she is told. Incapable of original thought. The only ones laughing with her cackling are her lackeys. Remove her from power and they would spit in her face. Scum like this exists only with the support of backstabbing lackeys. These parasitic cockroaches are worse than their cackling host.

Suzanne O'Keeffe's avatar

it's a controlled demo of the "Dem" party. The cabal owns all candidates here. The end goal is the same no matter what color the banner: Digital ID, biometric surveillance, programmable surveillable money, WWIII. Trump will make his wall a biometric surveillance wall -- and call for biometric voter ID. He'll cheer on the JPMorgan stablecoin as the "greatest currency ever," now slated to roll out even before the election ... which the cabal will likely then consider unnecessary. Would patriots reject these non-liberty antihuman hinges of the great reset if Saint Trump pushes them? That's the question ahead.

Patience. The morons will be very unhappy when they figure out the 5th booster wasn't a great idea and they did not know because they wanted "misinformation" or "hate speech" to be censored before they had a chance to read it.

This is civil libertarianism 101 - censorship prevents you from seeing information that is censored, yet somehow these dumb fucks made it through 16+ years of school without either being told this or figuring it out for themselves.

Setting your head on fire isn't the best way to figure out fire is hot, but I'm betting it will work, which is why Zuck is trying to get in front of it.

N there won’t be protests. First it’s not a civil war. It’s a revolution. Second, they will do something so egregious,we will rise up en masse, and show them what “ we don’t agree” looks like.

We're already mostly like Mexico. "La mordida" rules everything and like the PRI, murder and other forms of physical violence is directed at malcontents and others who don't appreciate the wonderful and august leadership the system provides through this system.

Except the PRI hasn't been in power over the past six years and the new president, also the un-PRI, is La Tapada. I have to say I was surprised with the job that AMLO has done, all things considered, narcotraficantes notwithstanding. I think that is because at some point he went from being an ideologue to being a pragmatist. Right now I have to say his party displays more scruples than the Democrats in this country, even as they cling to the same kind of Leftist foolishness.
