And by the way, personal aside to the women in this photograph, in case any of them see this:

The term I would use for the decision to splash your picture on the Internet, with a comparison to violent segregationists, and to do it without reporting on what you were doing or why, is "actual malice."

Meanwhile Vice just went bankrupt, no one watches CNN anymore, and now that Fox has fired the only anchor that still had an audience its ratings have gone through the floor.

The media went insane a while ago, but now, it's committing suicide.

Oh well.

It is clear from the first photo that the 3 women on the bench know each other and someone just farted. The woman to the far right has blamed the woman to the left but the woman in the center is the guilty party because she is smiling that her other friend was blamed for what she did. Meanwhile the woman standing on the right lost her sense of smell to a bad case of covid back in '20 and is clueless as to what was smelled. We know it was a bad case because she is old and overweight and is lucky to have survived the virus even though the worst symptom was that she lost her sense of smell and her freedom for 2 years.

Clearly none of them are paying attention to the dude pretending to be a female and that is the worst slight of all because dammit you must pay attention to those so desperate for attention that they will dress up as the opposite sex outside of homecoming week in high school.

Jeez, I should be a journalist, I have a knack for making shit up too.

I take offense. We do not snicker in Montana. We smirk, snort, sometimes snidely sneer. But snicker, never.

In all seriousness, they're probably "snickering" because Zooey Zephyr is from Missoula, a place that along with Boze-Angelos (Bozeman) and Helena inspire a lot of smirking, snorting, and snidely sneering as they are hotbeds of mind-numbingly dumb ideas, like, hey, let's mutilate this little girl and cut off her breasts because she likes getting dirty and riding horses. It must be because she's a "transman," not because she grew up on a ranch and had all brothers.

Nick Sandmann did lotsa smirking(* for a Covington Catholic High junior, if memory serves 🤭

Indeed. Why snicker when one good solid eye roll would probably do? Those eye rolls get the Californians every time.

remember the stock winter photo of summer gunshot victims standing on line, waiting to get into an ER overwhelmed by ivermectin overdose patients? and no one thought to question how bleeding people who had just been shot walked to the hospital and were able to stand on line? presumably if they had arrived by ambulance, they would have been ushered right in.

the media just makes it up.

those women could have been laughing about anything. maybe one of them just told a joke. the person at the counter might not even be ZZ; we don't see HIS face. it might even be an actual female for all we can tell.

these women should sue. in our current climate, this photo could get them fired from their jobs, disowned by their liberal relatives, kicked out of their churches. who knows what might happen to them for the "crime" of laughing at- we can't really be sure of what- something?

We can see here (in case we didn't know before) how the Civil Rights movement is the sacred narrative for those on the left side of the aisle (which now somehow includes every species of corporate careerist), and along w Nazis v Jews is the one of two historical narratives they wield to batter all opponents with shame and guilt.

And because this narrative provides them w such an erotic tingle of sanctimony, and allows them to imagine themselves as righteous crusaders for justice whether past, present or future, every story or political issue must be wedged into it.

It is sort of a coloring-book Passion Play for whited sepulchers, but maybe a better image is of a small isolated island tribe who discovers a shipwrecked boat holding a few speeches by MLK, Malcolm X and maybe some newspaper articles from 1968. By the time anyone returns to the island what they find is a cargo cult of cosplaying Civil Rights marchers and non-black Black Panthers.

But enough w the florid imagery: the truth is that through repeated and relentless applications of propaganda the goal is to place anyone who doesn't worship and obey Social Justice dogma beyond the moral pale, outside the status of fellow citizen, and to tar them w so many bigotry accusations that they reek of Klansman and/or Nazi....of course the obvious irony is that these professed antiracist Nazi haters think they're auditioning for the Times but sound much more like interns at Hutu Power radio.

“American journalism is plummeting through the floor of the shithouse, descending into a level of contemptible uselessness that I wouldn’t have thought possible.” Chris I’m older than you and it’s been like the 7th circle of hell since the 60s. I would agree. The 7th circle of hell is violence, but you’re right, we are in the 9th circle of Dante’s hell which is treachery. Sad to say. Even sadder to see.

Looking at the pic... note the woman on the far right? Looks like she just heard a joke, or Zoolander said something very surprising. Could it be all of them are reacting to the same words?

And agree 100% Chris, the unknown bystanders there now exposed to actual malice should seek legal counsel.

"We’re reaching the point where the narrative-making machine is so clumsy that it can’t fool anyone. What then?" Buzzfeed's layoffs and Vice's impending insolvency may be an augur of things to come. That said, I can imagine plenty of historically semiliterate chuckleheads looking at those pics and nodding in the affirmative. "Yes! Of course! Just like that!"

There's a reason no news website allows comments on their articles anymore. Just like YouTube turning off dislike counts when Biden took office, we now have systems in place for the sole purpose of keeping the narrative machine's cognitive dissonance at bay.

At the heart of all this trans-insanity is something so sad. Why do so many young people want to be something they are not? Been thinking about that. Our society no longer values 'normal' is my current hypothesis. These trans advocates (and their Greek chorus in the press) want to be abnormal and weird to just to feel part of society; (Heavy, heavy sigh)
