People naming their weird and varied sexual preferences (or lack thereof) and calling it "gender" are nuts. I will not let them make me nuts. There are 2 sexes and the females give birth.
I like he picture of the person with his head up his ass...
I heard a conspiracy theory that wearing face masks causes barbs to grow on your face... hence it is that much harder to remove your head from your ass...
Face masks=face barnacles. The ones still wearing them look like something off The Black Pearl when they take if off. Effen Davy Jones Octoface from Pirates of the Caribbean bro. Wake up to that. Better yet the ones who wear the eyes only exposed, those are the ones with actual fungi growing from their face. It's a working theory of mine at least. 😁
Classic Cluster B personality disorders — that is, dramatic, overly emotional or unpredictable thinking or behavior (negative emotionality) — are disproportionately found among radical leftists, or “very liberal” individuals, and reflected in the political attitudes and beliefs associated with them.
Research supports this. Studies indicate not just a growing mental health disparity between people who identify with certain political beliefs, with conservatives faring better than liberals, but scientific correlation between individuals who hold progressive ideologies and an increased risk of mental illness.
I'm gnawing on a bone-I need to think/write/research more about this--but am beginning to think the primary differentiator between crazy-ass-woke-dipshittery and normal-classically liberal (like Wealth of Nations & Declaration of Independence classically liberal) people is blame vs responsibility.
Blame is so much easier, and it has consumed our culture. Blame and comfort. In many ways they are the same. We can unleash our anger & frustration on those we find at fault--and are emotionally/psychologically comforted in this knowledge. Insidious.
Of course I came to this conclusion by recognizing it in some of my own behavior which is doubly gross-but is now having me reflect on my own thoughts/reactions/feelings/behaviors around unfavorable circumstances.
It is a mindset of the victim. A mindset of oppression. There is really no oppression, only what one allows to believe.
I enjoy Jen Hitze's 5 Big Ideas here on Substack as well. Last week, someone responded to her newsletter with a comment about how envy is at the root of the problem.
I asked, and am still asking myself, if envy is possible without pride first. If courage enables all virtues, does pride open the door to the other 6 deadly sins?
The corruption of the soul begins with Pride/self centeredness/ which leads to envy, lust, gluttony...
I think you’re on the right track. My thoughts are similar. It’s sympathy for the downtrodden, which is a classically liberal point of view, with an external locus of control. As in ‘my life isn’t what I want, I’m not rich, so every person like me must be the victim of some big conspiracy, and rather than take it on myself to do some sucky work required to make myself more marketable, society must be at fault. In fact, it’s probably white people / the uniparty / trans haters, etc since they set everything up specifically for just themselves to get ahead.’ It’s such a spiral because once someone lets those thoughts in, it’s so easy to apply it to other parts of one’s life and suddenly everything sucks and it’s someone else’s fault. It’s no wonder that these folks end up with mental health issues.
Been trying a few 'experiments' with my own internal monologue surrounding responsibility & blame.
We have a great off leash dog park, but often there is poo left where it dropped. Inattentive owners or possibly rude/indifferent owners that do not pick up their dogs poo.
One of my dogs (bless him, he's perfect in every other way) enjoys eating those warm tootsie rolls...and it grosses me out to no end.
I was thinking about 'taking on the sins of the world' -- and thought I should simply pick up every poo I see instead of grumbling and thinking something untoward about an anonymous dog owner.
I don't always feels great picking up the poo, but I do not grumble about my dog eating it, nor me stepping in it. No bells, whistles, nor angles from on high shouting my name gloriously for all to hear--but I don't have as much anger--and that is something...
Brilliant piece, thank you. Some of your most profound work yet.
I particularly liked this: ‘The people on the other side of the vibe shift — the people the vibe is shifting against — don’t hear the changing response, or themselves, or the sounds of the natural world outside of their heads.’
The natural world and the night sky have no speech, they use no words.. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth.
I think you’re right in saying there won’t be a “Shot Heard Round The World” moment. I do however sense that this country is full of modern Minutemen. Millions of people sick of quietly putting up with the nonsense and ready to drop it entirely at a moments notice.
Loved this: "How do you debate someone who has crawled right up his own ass, sealing the entrance behind him?" Accompanying photo is fantastic.
I haven't read all of Rufo's piece about cluster b society, but I need to. I have recently pointed to a study, back in the 90s, about how 53% of boys with gender dysphoria had cluster b mothers.
Sadly, when I have said this in the past, I feel a judgmental, sneering contempt for these women.
Jesus Nelson, wake up.
The real question is: "What about our culture is contributing to so many unstable women/men?" The real question must contain grace. Must contain agape. Must remove the contempt from my own view.
It is amazing to think how long the buildup (denouncement, showdown, waiting) actually took in the 18th Century. Technology may--most likely will--speed things up. Even without social media, the number of people within reach of email/text is in the 100s for most people--social media? Now you're looking at 1000s, for some it is millions.
I think this will accelerate the flash to boom.
Something I've been trying: trying to find myself in them. In all of those personality disorders, when/where have I exhibited any of those behaviors; when do I stop listening, where are my 'triggers'?
I also feel the vibe shift, even here in Washington.
Something I want to explore that might also be an indicator of leftism--the difference between blame and responsibility. What does a blaming culture/mindset produce vs a culture/mindset of taking responsibility.
My first thought is when one affixes blame, the problem remains unsolved. It is just about emotion. Then righteous indignation sets in, and whether the problem is fixed or not doesn't matter--the warmth of one's own righteous indignation keeps them happy.
I think it is a tad bit more than a few. The entire education regime from K-PhD. Nearly every public sector union employee--city to federal workers, the DEI-grievence facilitator group, all legacy media--the righteousness emanating from these groups alone could warm Seattle year round.
The elites always have it better, only today our elites are totally without competence, character, nor merit.
This has to be part of their vitriol. They all know they are incompetent, unworthy of their station--so like all evil people since Cain--they choose to blame the capable for their lack of capacity.
Thank you for your kind words Elizabeth. I've been 'screwing around' here on Substack, responding to others' writing instead of doing the hard creative work myself. You and a few others have written something similar, and hopefully this is the nudge needed to begin producing my own work. Have a great week.
Most definitely. Your writing is compelling and intriguing. And it is definitely more work to create from scratch than to respond to another’s work! I’m in the same boat and trying to pull myself up and get to work. All the best to you and I’ll keep an eye out for your work.
Ya gotta admit though, that “I have to say again that watching the California legislature always reminds me of a George Grosz painting.” Was damn funny. Keyboard cleaning level funny.
Great post and thank you for your leadership from the formerly greatest sate in the Union. Watching the video of your reps. and the crazy speech emanating from their respective pie holes makes me wonder if they were always like this, or have been driven mad by the spike proteins from their mRNA injections, which results in prions in the brain. You are right though, in that we can't just quit but must keep fighting, as these demons cannot be convinced and as you point out, will just continue to expand their lunacy, no matter what, just like the Jacobins, the Bolsheviks, the Nazis, the Red Guards, and all the other totalitarians. They most assuredly will destroy themselves. The only question is, what else, and who else, will they take down with them?
Thank you also of the beautiful picture. We all must smell the roses along the way and appreciate whatever blessing He has bestowed on us and our loved ones.
My bingo card says Lexington moment shortly after Nov 2024. But it will probably be 3 years after that, consistent with how much I over estimate the rectifying ability of Americans...
Lexington was 10 years after the Stamp Act...yes. It was also the culmination of years of training and arming up by the colonists, who got ready for the fight materially and militarily, then picked it...which they won. The British forces were there to prevent something from happening that was happening to THEM...and they did not succeed.
We might want to consider taking back this country now. This idea that we wait for the woke bullshit to wear off is weak...we have an event in November that could put it all back in place if we're willing to do the right thing and deal with reality. If we don't they'll take all our shit and tell us what to do about absolutely everything.
I doubt there's a single event that saves us, November or otherwise. The event in November could certainly signal a course correction, but there will be much more work after that.
Agree, and what is it going to take for another 1% of the population to pull it's head out of its ass? And is it worth it for such marginal gains? While I am happy to welcome the newly red pilled, we are getting diminishing returns...
Agree! November needs to go the way Patriots need it to go, but that’s only the first step in what will a long, arduous, unfun process. Welcome to interesting times!
I see your point but I’d put a slightly different spin on it. The British picked the fight at Lexington and Concord, and they got embarrassed for underestimating the people they decided to pick on.
The minutemen they faced were just doing what they saw as their civic duty for generations leading up to that moment; saying “No” to anyone who tried to threaten their homes and liberties.
There's been a lot of great work done recently that documents the months and years preceding April 19 and the arming up that happened. Massachusetts at the colony level was buying and storing weapons and gear that would be needed when the shit began. For instance, thousands of canteens for an army that would be called out. Musket Balls were cast by the hundreds of thousands. That materiel, and much more, what what the British went to Concord to sieze. The British didn't want to be trapped in Boston, surprised by an army that was gathering around them and in their presence. That's a far more interesting history than the Disney fantasy that's been presented over the generations. The whole idea that April 19 just happened and was a surprise to its participants is just not correct.
Absolutely true. Didn’t mean to imply it was just a spontaneous uprising. Quite the opposite in fact. Colonial militias were well trained and drilled regularly. In many of the firsthand accounts I’ve read, the British were unpleasantly surprised by how disciplined and knowledgeable of current tactics the minutemen were. There were a plenty of potshots from behind trees and fences, but the redcoats suffered most of their casualties from Massachusetts militia that fired in formation, tactically retreated to another favorable position, and repeated the process until they were relieved by fresh troops from New Hampshire and further afield.
the Cluster B crowd is now approaching the paranoid schizophrenic stage. from here on out it is all sound and fury, signifying nothing.
in a parallel universe, I can imagine that if they had just tapped the brakes for awhile they could have help on for much longer, but no.
after Jan 6, Trump was booted from every major SM platform, disgraced, ratings in the toilet. he was done. but then the Mar-A-Lago raid, and the scandals, and the lawsuits, then the indictments, the arrest, the mugshot, more indictments, and every time his ratings rose higher and higher. I swear, it’s like the Regime is summoning a Golem from the dead with Trump. was it Freud who said fear is a wish? do they see their own narcissistic shadow in him? is this mass-projection psychosis?
if he wins in November it will be because they brought him back to life. unreal.
I’m trying to think of any historical examples of this but I’m blank. any history buffs out there..?

As Shipwreckedcrew noted in his most recent Substack-
“Trial judges do not get reversed for screwing over the government with rulings that favor a defendant.”
“The trial judge’s primary role is to ensure that both sides receive a “fair trial” — not a perfect trial. But the “trial rights” guaranteed under the Constitution belong only to a defendant, not to the government.”
If you don't think that dragging cannons though a swamp at break neck speed to beat the British (Strongest Army and Navy the world had ever known), outnumbered, in New Orleans was one of the greatest military feats in world history.
There is a vibe shift, and it’s starting to translate into some countries and some states saying no to stupid, inhumane, expert engineered nonsense. They have created a huge mess on every important front. Every single thing they touch is broken. There’s already significant damage. It’s gonna take a long time to clean this up. One election won’t solve it, even if it goes our way. On the other hand, if it goes poorly, this is just gonna last longer.

I think it’s merely sexual deviance.
Hater!!!! LoL
I grew up on a farm so I knew well before kindergarten.
I like he picture of the person with his head up his ass...
I heard a conspiracy theory that wearing face masks causes barbs to grow on your face... hence it is that much harder to remove your head from your ass...
But you should be cynical of all these theories!
A friend just accused me of wearing a tin foil hat, but I said I gave that up ever since they put antennas in the tin foil!
...yeah, he took it as confirmation, not levity.
It is hard to yank someones chain when they don't have much chain...
I have a whole closet full of tinfoil toppers, (which I seldom wear any more).
Ever since the conspiracy theorists began to outnumber the woke cultists.
I give it to all sides...
Someone once shouted at me:
"Do you still believe in the Moon landing?!"
I said
"Do you still believe in the Moon?!"
(he didn't like that)
And were theories no longer.
Agree. When so-called 'conspiracy theories' are routinely relegated to page six, as fillers, its safe to assume the term "theory" no longer applies.
Conspiracy theories since 2020 gone mainstream as people woke up = spoiler alerts
Face masks=face barnacles. The ones still wearing them look like something off The Black Pearl when they take if off. Effen Davy Jones Octoface from Pirates of the Caribbean bro. Wake up to that. Interesting. Great insight.
