"Towards thee I roll, thou all-destroying but unconquering whale; to the last I grapple with thee; from hell’s heart I stab at thee; for hate’s sake I spit my last breath at thee."

Will be traveling and offline for most of the day, btw. I'm going out into America to pretend I own the place.

There's nothing wrong with acting like you own the place! Our elites demonstrate that, every time they fly private jets and ride in fancy limos to attend energy conservation conferences where they decide how much of our lifestyle us regular folk are going to have to sacrifice to save the planet. The key is, pretending to care and chanting the correct slogans, something our elites are also very good at (as you have observed on many occasions on this substack). That and, occasionally, jumping out of your limo a few blocks from the climate conference and bicycling the rest of the way. You know, to show the news cameras how committed you are to saving the planet.

I live in what was once Comancheria, taken and owned by the Comanche from various other Mongolian immigrants. Then the White Guys won, the Comanche lost. Ipso facto some aspiring writers need to learn a little objectivity. 1/8 Comanche here by the way.

Heffernan's essay is an exercise in willful ignorance. The truth is that there is no patriarchy and men are falling behind women in almost every key metric. For the last half-century, the Western world has been fixated on maximizing female empowerment. In the process, our understanding of men regressed and a “boy crisis” emerged that’s still seldom acknowledged. Men are getting shafted by a labor market that prizes "ornamental culture."

https://euphoricrecall.substack.com/p/what-patriarchy

Through artificial machinations. Whether appearing as a sudden enlightenment within females or abilities among the darker races, the empowerment we speak of was arranged for by men already possessing power for furthering their gains in finance, politics, or their legacies. It's a self serving feedback loop whose purpose in our evolutionary development would make for interesting reading.

"Heffernan has a literature PhD from Harvard, so I’m forced to suspect that she’s encountered American immigrant literature." I would not bank on that if I were you. Given the nature of Harvard these days, one suspects that these people don't read "white" literature so much as read *about* "white" literature and then give themselves headaches nodding in agreement that it's all bad.

But my critique is only in jest. I had never considered a literary rebuttal to the worn-out notion you present, but now that you do . . .

Elegantly done.

I would like to blind-test them. Give them lesser-known works to read and then have them argue why the author was [race], [sex], et cetera.

Seen a similar thing done with red wine once. Hilarious as all five bottles contained the same wine. The testers looked positively dyspeptic...

Excellent rant/essay. When I encounter women like Heffernan, I can’t help sympathizing with muslims that don’t want to educate their women. They embarrass me, am a woman. Clownworld owes a lot to women like her.

I’m a woman & I see the problem ...BUT I try to avoid anything that pits one sex against another. Working together is what’s needed; balancing the feminine & the masculine!

I was a very foolish young woman, but thankfully I’ve read the scriptures a lot and I listen to my husband & other men’s perspectives. We have alot to teach each other.

"Heffernan has a literature PhD from Harvard"

I know it's dangerous to dehumanize one's opponents, but functionally, what this means is that Heffeman has had her brain consumed by a malevolent alien parasite. It's like that episode of Star Trek where all the admirals turn out to be worm-eating weirdos.

The PhD signals to all the other worm-eating weirdos that Heffeman, too, eats the worms.

Quite a poetic dissertation. The American frontier was always a violent, dangerous place. Most of the people taking the risk were the newcomers because they wanted things that America offered in abundance for a long time- land ownership and freedom. In their own countries only the upper echelons owned great tracts of land. But from the time of the earliest settlements in British America ordinary people had the opportunity to get out ( at least partially) from under the thumb of the aristocracy and make their own future on their own land. In fact without the entrepreneurial capitalist private land ownership model employed by the crown from the beginning of the colonies, it’s unlikely that we’d have the country that we have as it drove settlement and expansion.

These are the people who built the country. And most of them were poor and desperate for a better life, even if it was a hard scrabble life, which was usually the case for the immigrants. The dingbats who spout all the revisionist CRT crap history don’t tell you that history, because they need to caricature, dehumanize and isolate their targets - white males. In attacking the country they actually destroy diversity, because their propaganda is unidimensional sloganeering for simpletons, and their long term objective is a homogenous, uniformly light brown population of docile high tech serfs without any organic culture, without any unique social frame of reference, without an original thought in their heads and thus no objections to the social engineering experiments that these half baked megalomaniacs seem intent on carrying out.

Better known as the Coudenhove-Kalergi plan. Nowadays claimed by mass-media to be a "white supremacist conspiracy theory" despite the works of Kalergi being in the public domain and freely available online, and despite the count's own words and stewardship of the Paneuropean Union. There's even an EU prize called the Coudenhove-Kalergi Prize, nowadays renamed the Charlemagne Prize with its origins memory-holed. It is always awarded to people who has been instrumental drivers in the cause of mass-migration and "integration" to Europe, such as Angela Merkel to name one.

Expand full comment

Yes, interesting. He was the father of the EU concept basically. It's called the European Prize now. Half Austrian nobility, half Japanese, from an old aristocratic family. Was against plutocrats and extremists, but was elite, and believed in an elite ruling the nations. ( Which always happens anyway). Was an anti-racist and condemned the Nazis for what they did to Jews and others. Married to a Jewish woman. He was against nationalism/tribalism because he thought it led to war and thus in favor of ""pan-Europa" and the mixing of all races. Has to be looked at in the context of the times, and the damage of WW1 and then WW2. So I would say he had some good intentions and some really bad ideas. Guess which ones survived. This is a universal theme with Progressives: nice ideas at the 30,000 foot level, which never work out in practice and cause a lot of damage. And the concept of an elite who know better directing everything for the masses. Most of the winners of the European prize are Socialists, but Ronald Reagan won the prize in 1992, for helping to dismantle the USSR.

What is really interesting is the official narrative that the Coudenhove-Kalergi plan, which is eugenicist and promotes genocide of indigneous european peoples andcultures, is called a conspiracy theory.

It's like calling 'Mein Kampf' or 'The Communist Manifesto' conspiracy theories.
