It's been 20 sad years of realizing that just about everything I thought I knew is a lie.

For me its been 3 years of slowly connecting dots some of them from the past twenty years, 9/11 and the Patriot Act anyone? What a country we live in today.

Sometimes it feels like standing in line for just another gut punch.

No matter how old I become, I'm never too old to be disillusioned!

Get ahead by looking facts squarely in the face knowing that everything you thought was true is not..and examine now all your hidden assumptions. That way 8t w9nt feel like a suckered punch when you watch the great unravelling..you will actually be ahead of the game

But kn9wing now you are clear and can figure out the rest of your life. Once you get through mourning for what you thought was..you re assemble your bearings and go on. Allow yourself time to grieve but realize there is nothing but yourself to put your trust in

Yeah, that Patriot Act was the first step on our greased slide to hell. The intel our gov't has on its own citizens is ridiculous and I am sure that is how the FBI has been targeting people who have opinions that don't fit the forced narrative. 'This isn't Russia'. Well, this is Russia.

Sorry, I was distracted by the J6 committee news. There’s inflation?

Wait until the real impact of the OPEC production cuts show up in the inflation numbers - especially now that we know our fearless leader knows they were coming and was unpersuasive with the Saudis, begging for a post-election postponement. There is only so much you can spin numbers when the average Joe is faced with prices in the grocery store, at the pump and the winter utility bills. We know where the prices will end. Wait till they brag about the increase in Social Security payments.

This doesn’t surprise me because I once read a great non fiction book called Animal Farm. Be aware if you read it the names and possibly species of characters have been changed.

“Possibly.” That’s good.

I noticed a similar story the other day, from the West Coast branch of Pravda, which at least has the benefit of being read by just about no one:

https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2022-10-11/gas-prices-fall-los-angeles-california

Gas prices down from $6.40 to $6.35...victory is near! Yes, they may be twice as high as the rest of the country, but this week they're pennies lower...

Nothing to see hear, just keep voting for Team Blue and don't even think otherwise—only Bad People do that.

These people!

Hubby and I are approaching the time to sign up for Medicare, so I’ve been reading a lot about it lately. Multiple websites were falling all over themselves to boast how prices were down by 1.8 percent for part B in 2022 over 2021. So exciting! Such good news!

Yet we all know inflation is up by over 40% on average since last year. Can some new math woke keynesian expert explain to me how that 1.8% savings stacks up against the inflationary crunch? Not being an expert I’m sure I just misunderstood the whole savings thing.

Prices on big ticket discretionary items will fall, as people can't afford them. Things like used cars (people will just keep their old one and repair it), furniture(same), vacations, etc, will drop as demand dries up.

This will kill the consumer economy, and spiral us all down to serfdom.

It's like the studies in journals where the abstract says one thing in order to get the paper published, e.g., "masks work" and the study itself shows incontrovertibly that they don't work. Science "journalists" report the abstract, either because they can't understand the actual statistics and science in the paper, or they know reporting the truth would cost them their jobs.

Expand full comment

Good point. The difference between what's in the abstract and what's in the paper should be policed by the referees and the journal editor. Though I'm no longer in academia or publish in academic journals, I still do referee reports for a couple of journals. In my experience over 20 years, I have not seen any other referees comment on the disparity between the abstract and the paper content. I reject a paper if they differ. Moreover, many referees don't bother with the math or statistics in papers. After all, that's hard work. Most referees are not yet tenured academics who want to go along to get along. This is another reason why there is a replicability crisis that goes beyond medicine, economics, and psychology

There is NO replicability crisis in the Media! 🧐

Silly us for thinking that a politician is elected to solve problems in the publics interest. It’s actually to solve problems in their own interest and win more elections. The vision of the republic is a good one, but it’s been literally hijacked by cons and crooks looking to stuff their own pockets.

We are under lethal attack. You have to survive, and expectations have to be adjusted. We are dealing with a group of people who just put billions under house arrest under false pretenses and killed millions of people while demonizing cheap, readily available effective early treatments. They used the virus to trash the economy/ currency, have opened the border to millions of illegal aliens with no skills and no resources and literally tons of lethal fentanyl, are destroying families and communities with social engineering, and stealing elections. Europeans are going to die this winter because these asshats have arranged for them not to have fuel for heating. You can see it’s deliberate. It’s not a question. So raise cash, store food, be able to defend yourself and your loved ones, and vote these cretins out. The next few years are going to be rocky.

You forgot divide and conquer by turning people against one another through CRT, confuse people about basic concepts such as “where do babies come from” in order to, perhaps, open the gates to human reproduction outside of the human body and remove our direct access to food by outlawing animal husbandry and promoting industrially produced “food” made from crickets etc. End goal: complete dependence on forces outside of ourselves such as WEF or whatever evil witch can be found behind that curtain.

Inflation is grossly understated. Since wholesale inflation was 8.5% it seems more likely that consumer inflation will rise before it goes back down.

I would say it a little differently. I would say 20 sad years realizing everything they want me to know is a lie. I stopped believing corporate media around 20 years ago. I was a couple years slow disbelieving 9-11 reporting.
