JENNIFER KENNEDY: Thank you, good afternoon, board. I'm Jennifer Kennedy, I'm an attorney, and we've met before. When last I spoke to you it was May of 2022, a year and a half ago, and I'll get to that in a minute. Today I'm here to urge the long overdue sun setting of your covid vaccination mandate, but it doesn't go far enough. You need to reinstate all employees with full back pay.
Listen, this didn't hit me, but it injured my friends. You stole livelihoods and careers from dedicated employees. You took food off the table and medical care away from children. You siphoned birthday gifts, and you sucked Christmas presents up the chimney.
In the name of health, you demanded that employees submit to an irreversible invasive EUA [Emergency use Authorization] injection, a medical procedure with documented risks like blood clots, myocarditis, stroke, and death.
In the name of safety, you demanded submission to the shot that never did, never could, and still does not prevent infection with or transmission of SARS-CoV-2.
And the people you fired, they couldn't even get unemployment, and without medical care they couldn't even get therapy to deal with the clinical depression you plunged them into.
And by the way, so why now? Was it because of the embarrassing arguments in the Ninth Circuit* that we just heard, thank God, they played that video, and the justices who said they were shocked that you were still pushing this mandate?
And by the way, it's so interesting in the little report that you wrote that, which Council mentioned in those Ninth Circuit arguments, where the most scurrilous an reprehensible lie I've ever heard, and that lie is this: The district mandated but did not enforce a student vaccination requirement.
How dare you? How dare you gaslight us into thinking, believing that you didn't crush students in the fall of 2021? That you didn't spend five million dollars on your Safe Steps Campaign of bullying, bribing, harassment, and shaming to force parents to subject their children to this experimental vaccine?
How dare you say none of that happened! That you didn't kick kids off their sports, out of their clubs, out of chess, out of cheer, out of fall, out of fall sports? Everything that you did in October of 2021, you absolutely enforced that mandate.
And funny also in the report, the fact that you say this now applies to all authorized charter schools. Funny because in May of 2022, that's what I was telling you, you needed to control your rogue charter, your LA authorized charter sitting on LAUSD property. Of course I'm referring to Granada Hills Charter, which did crush students, which did put students off campus, bar them from campus, and deny them every possible part of campus activity, including the seniors, denying them senior awards night and even their graduation.
I was here in May of -22 at your fancy end of the year board retreat. I begged you to do something to stop it and save their graduation, and to a man, not a one of you did anything.
Today is the day to finally do something, and that is end your stupid and cruel vaccine mandate.
Thank you. It was truly a pleasure to transcribe this one. I have spent the last 2 years every day transcribing the most ghastly testimonies of injustice and suffering because of these idiotic mandates and the push-the-jabs-and-other-nonsense campaigns and the censorship. It is good, very good indeed, to see some of the perpetrators called out in public, to their faces. At least we have that, and that is something.
I applaud your dedication to such a righteous cause, but I have to ask “Why do you do it?” There will be no Nuremberg trials for the perpetrators. There must be at least 1M government officials spread across all 50 states and all Federal, State & local governments whose only “defense” is “I vas just followink ohrduhs.” That concept was repudiated at Nuremberg & Tokyo, but seems to have found a warm reception in U.S. courts by treating medical “experts” as latter day Oracles at Delphi.
Is your dedication akin to the Shoah Foundation’s effort to record oral testimonies about personal experience in the Holocaust? In essence to prevent its occurrence from being denied?
I incline to agree with you that what I would term the Kumbaya-Truth & Justice-Moment may never arrive. In fact I was this morning meditating on the Dreyfuss Affair-- a social and political earthquake for France, which most people have entirely forgotten about in the muddle of time. I cannot know the future, but it may well rhyme with that. But perhaps not. Time will tell. And stories will be told and retold about this time well beyond our lifetimes.
Hello dear Diane M. Kane, Thanks for your comment. Glad to know you are transcribing.
Yes, I too find that some of the transcripts out there are problematic. I have not looked at the C-SPAN transcripts, but I have come across YouTube AI-generated transcripts that are, to put it nicely, utter crap. But once in a while, when it's a long one, and I can find it, I'll use a YT transcript as a very (very!!) rough first draft. So I clean them up, identify the speakers, and also add notes where relevant. (It's also important to respect legal fair use, so there are some things I stay away from, or only transcribe a brief excerpt.)
Yes, this work is incredibly time consuming and tedious, so if you feel it is eating up your time, I can relate. In fact, I had intended to quit at year end 2022 but did not because I kept coming across things I strongly felt needed a transcript. I'm glad I kept at it-- however, my aim now is to quit at the end of this year, and then continue with some transcripts of videos from 2021-2023, only on occasion, to round out the archive. At some point I'll call it quits-- I don't see more transcripts as necessarily better. Basically, I am putting together an archive that covers censored and shadow-banned video relating to the jabs roll out and catastrophe, so that's 2021-2023.
In answer to your question, I do not do this for a living, however in my professional life (under another name) I do have some experience in both making and commissioning transcripts, and and I can tell you, transcripts are not cheap and even the pros (and they use transcription software) tend to make a lot of mistakes. So if you are willing to dedicate the time and careful attention to making a good one, you will have made a contribution-- and not many people are willing or able to do that, as we see.
If you haven't already seen it, and you're interested, you are very welcome to read more about my List of Transcriptions and my process at https://transcriberb.dreamwidth.org/9102.html
Blessings to you, dear Chris Bray, and to this courageous and caring attorney, Jennifer Kennedy. And my mantra: may those who committed crimes against students and staff of the LAUSD, and all the many others who are also culpable, be held accountable before the law.
Soon after, the school board voted to drop the mandate, with board president Jackie Goldberg nonetheless shrieking like the dimwitted lunatic she is that the mandate had been entirely proper and wonderfully effective.
------------
And just like literally everywhere else that removed mask mandates, nothing will happen.
I wonder what should happen to those tyrannical, authoritatively flippant people who molested my rights and cast my life aside as if it is meaningless and without value. I suppose another way to think about the question is what is it that could be done to ensure that the sort of behavior they exhibited with mask mandates cannot possibly be repeated by them. In my opinion, when the deterrent is insufficient, the act is likely to be repeated, indefinitely.
So the wife had a conversation with our neighbor the other day who said she was planning on going to get the latest booster shot. Then proceeded to tell her about all the health problems she has had since getting the shots and actually attributed them to the shots. I just don’t know what to do with people like that. How do you even begin a rational conversation?
LOL. My filter has gotten thinner as I have grown old (never had much of one to begin with). Still have a little bit so don’t think I will pursue that path 😂. Plus we live in a small neighborhood so difficult to avoid people but I certainly try to.
They get away with it 95% of the time. Rarely, a judge will not let them do so. But it is their standard modus operandi and it is amazingly effective, sadly.
It sure seems like parents could sue the district for dereliction of duty and physical as well as psychological harm to their kids, whether the other point is moot is irrelevant, the harm was done and they should sue regardless.
A good lawyer would seek damages, if only $1, to preclude a finding of “moot.” Seeking a declaratory judgment or an injunction/TRO can be derailed by the defendant abandoning its position.
Chris Bray, The Salt Lake School district has now installed metal detectors in local high schools, and they are now operational. Kids have to line and have their three ring binders checked as they set off alarms! My daughter now has to go to a virtual prison every day, with security, armed men. I'm glad she is a senior, but it is no consolation. They are normalizing ultra security for young people, to live under watch at all times. Pure dystopia.
This is what the community wants, right? If not, there would be hundreds or thousands of people lined up in opposition. Have other options been put forward by citizen(s) or group(s) that are less invasive, more respectful of individual rights and maybe even more effective at solving the problem? Has the problem even been identified sufficiently to know how to solve it? Yes, i am ranting a bit but there are so many comments about just taking it in the ass and putting up with whatever it is just because government...
LAUSD is a mess. I was a project manager with IBM with LAUSD as my primary account in the early 1990s. They bought a custom Student Information system with a mainframe computer (S/370) and 660 PS-2 model 65 (-286 chipset) from us and a 3rd party custom software system to be developed. My role was to manage LAUSD and the 3rd Party. It took LAUSD OVER TWO MONTHS to tell us how many schools they had, another two months to tell us how many students. They had 660K students & 85K full-time faculty & staff but opened school with a student:teacher ratio well over 30:1. It took TWO YEARS of weekly group meetings and daily meetings with various levels of professionals at the District to finalize (LOL) their requirements to build the software. As part of the computer purchase they ordered 660 PCs that were obsolete by the time we were halfway through Requirements development, & years from implementation (-286 chipset could not run Windows 3.1, which was announced as this dragged-on), AFAIK, they never were unboxed. By this time IBM couldn’t afford the drag of these clowns, I was pulled and moved to real customers and IBM’s then-services division (years before IBM Global Services existed) was stuck with the project. Costs ballooned cuz of LAUSD, requirements changed. No idea if they ever finished the project - I checked in on it periodically and it always seemed stuck in bureaucracy...
I don’t recall the vendor, but ≈30 yrs ago, the CA DMV (or higher state officials) pulled the plug on a vehicle registration system that quadrupled in cost to $44M (vs $10M budget) and they realized no interim software milestones had been achieved. I believe the vendor was Deloitte. Can’t recall for sure, but it’s highly likely the project goals were highly migratory.
Knowing the fiasco these projects routinely turn into, when my company decided to produce payroll tax and custom duty manuals for each of the 90+ countries in which they did business, we engaged PwC just to help us write the RFP. It was the best $100K we ever spent. We received praise from various proposing vendors as being tightly written and completely clear. The 2 winning vendors knew exactly what was expected of their deliverable, and we assured them the specs would NOT change. The deliverables were on time and under budget.
Yeah. I got that project after the branch manager had closed the deal with zero input from anyone looking at software development. I’ve handled lots of AppDev since, to $300M programs, follow-the-sun dev teams, etc. I LOATHE ambiguity in requirements. And have managed to stay away from government contracts ever since.
My late sister was a contracting officer for the Dept of Agriculture and her hallmark was spending significant time with the internal customer to develop the requirements as tightly as possible, especially re: software projects.
She got flack from managers about time/productivity, but later they noticed that her projects had a freakishly high success rate.
She un-retired at age 59 in Sep 2003 & deployed to Iraq as a DOD civilian to restore Iraqi infrastructure. Her area was the electrical grid that had been ravaged during the sanctions. She was buying so much electrical cable it was affecting the world price of copper. The bids came in astronomically high and she asked vendors why. They explained they had to assume a spike in copper prices. She cancelled the bids, and republished the RFP with an “assumed” price of copper, with the government picking up the delta in copper costs. The bid prices shrank by 75%. She spent 16 months in country which came to an end in Jan 2005 when an insurgent missile hit her workstation in the Republican Palace, killing 2 and severely injuring 20 others.
Scott Wiener. Ew. Hide your kids, hide your husband. Hell, hide your dog. Debauchery needs to be called out for what it is: Scott Wiener. I’ll show myself out- need to bleach my eyeballs.
I do live in Florida but spent about 3 years stationed at NAS Coronado. I have followed Wiener off and on because he is like a bad car accident that you can't look away from. You stare slack-jawed, in horror, thinking wait, is this real? Did this really happen? How could this have happened? Why isn't anyone normal coming to fix this? Why is he allowed to govern? Is everyone blind to his evil? His filth is so out in the open and it blows my mind. I always wonder what the home life was like for such a misguided soul.
So couldn't a family sue her for lying if they had proof they showed up with their kid unmasked and workers showed up unvaxxed and were turned away or fired? Isn't that a mandate? Don't they have proof they lost their jobs because of non-mandate mandates? Etc.?
I was confused about the difference between misinformation and incorrect information, so I asked ChatGPT to explain:
###
Misinformation and incorrect information are related concepts, but they have distinct differences:
Misinformation:
Misinformation refers to false or inaccurate information that is shared or disseminated without the intention to deceive. It can be spread unintentionally, and those sharing it may not be aware that the information is false.
Misinformation can result from errors, mistakes, misinterpretations, or misunderstandings. It often spreads through well-intentioned individuals who believe they are sharing accurate information.
The spread of misinformation can contribute to the dissemination of incorrect facts, but it is not necessarily deliberate or malicious in nature.
Incorrect information:
Incorrect information simply means information that is not factually accurate or is wrong in some way. It can result from mistakes, errors, misunderstandings, or ignorance.
Incorrect information may or may not be intentionally disseminated. It can be a result of human error, lack of knowledge, or honest oversight.
Incorrect information is a broad category that encompasses all instances where the information provided does not align with reality or established facts.
In summary, the key difference between misinformation and incorrect information lies in the intention behind the dissemination. Misinformation is often shared without an intent to deceive, while incorrect information refers to information that is simply wrong or inaccurate, regardless of the intent. Both can have negative consequences, especially in the context of the spread of false or misleading information."
###
So now you understand perfectly well, comrades, that incorrect information is actually worse than misinformation, because it may have been shared with the intent to deceive, whereas misinformation is often not shared with the intent to deceive, although it might be. Thus Barbara Ferrer is saying that anti-mask opinions are no better than misinformation, and quite possibly worse.
I hope this helps you when you are next under interrogation.
Careful – you’re eliminating the need for “Disinformation” and “Mal-information.” Apparently there are 4 distinct kinds of information, not counting the generic “information” (a word that’s been around since the 1300’s without controversy).
Yeah. I tried to fit in mal-information but couldn’t figure it out in a few words. And disinfo is just misinfo with more more and greater intentionality. I guess it’s a scale from incorrect = oops, to mis- dis- and mal-...
But the salient thing is: NONE of this is the business of a legitimate government. Which is the purpose of 1A that they, lefties & RINOs have trashed.
"It’s like finding out that Ebola wants a second chance. "
Great article. But I'm sure the powers-that-shouldn't-be definitely intend to give Ebola a second chance, probably with some gain of function. Ralph Baric probably already has the patents.
I remember when ebola broke out in Africa the American officials were insistent that the infected be brought to the United States, putting the US population at risk. Weird, huh? Maybe they knew something about the virus that they didn't want to be revealed.
The article you suggest on the Federalist is worth reading.
The left hate our heritage and traditions as much as a majority of Muslims (as polled) around the world do. The globalists, many Muslims, and the indoctrinated useful idiot leftists all have this in common: They want to build back better. The means justify the ends and the enemy of my enemy is my friend both apply to these odd conspirators.
Yeah, the whole “Awwww, just forget about it…. this time, OK?!” on their part is an example of “Heads I win, tails you lose.” Naw, I don’t think I’m taking that bet. And neither should the citizenry. Or the judiciary, for that matter!
Well done for picking up those threads Chris, I am sure there will be many more and it is entirely understandable and just that you and everyone were/was focused on one thing these past weeks. I would suggest that these things are not disparate though. If you delve deeply into the Israel/Palestinians/Arab issue you will find a huge amount to learn that, at least for me, was not clear before. And the reactions around the world revealed some things that we maybe kinda knew but preferred not to acknowledge, especially in the West and perhaps most notoriously from the Boss of the world nefarious politics organisation known as the UN... If you ask yourself, how is it that privileged educated people (students and faculty) could possible excuse, condone, conditionalise, or otherwise explicitly or implicitly support the genocide perpetrated against Israel (not just Jews)? The answer is the same as to the question, how is it the same people can support trans mutilation / sterilisation of children? Or putting women at the back of the queue again? Or telling children that they are born racist and must atone for the alleged sins of the past? Or that the everyone is going to die if we don’t stop making progress and get back to medieval ways of living? Or forcing people to take an experimental drug for a virus that was not dangerous to them? And so on...
All of this is the house that Woke built. But the woke are useful idiots in this effort to undermine the West and Western values in particular. Terrorists need support, financially and psychologically, it gives them air to breath and motivation to continue. And, just as with the threads you picked up, we are giving that support to things that are designed to kill us. To kill our way of live, our moral fibre, our very souls. So pick up the threads by all means but remember that these threads are all attached to the same tapestry, and the picture being revealed on that tapestry is a hellscape that would have made Salvador Dali break his brushes and become a parking attendant...

First up, a fair trial.
Secondly, a fair punishment.
Fairness, now there's a concept. Relying on AG Garland's justice system is the epitome of NOT fair. Tell me I'm wrong.
Well, I don't like to lie, so.........

Declaring a case moot should not be an option when damage has been done.
Yeah, it's bullshit.
Are they actually getting away with that? Not that it would surprise me.

I read recently that it's been the MO in Canada for years. Deviant snakes all of them.
The Needle and the Damage Done.
Remember, we have a legal system, not a justice system.
"Flip the board and scatter the pieces." Sounds about right.

My dad was in telecomm sales, and sold to governments. Have heard a thousand versions of this story.
Yup. Doubtless. Government is a deep pit and no one knows the way around.

My late sister was a contracting officer for the Dept of Agriculture and her hallmark was spending significant time with the internal customer to develop the requirements as tightly as possible, especially re: software projects.
She was unique. Very few care enough to do so.
She was unique, as you said.
Scott Wiener. Ew. Hide your kids, hide your husband. Hell, hide your dog. Debauchery needs to be called out for what it is: Scott Wiener. I’ll show myself out- need to bleach my eyeballs.
Or move out of California like the rest of us...

"we never mandated anything" is too ubiquitous to be anything other than centrally planned.
the fight is local, as it should be, but the enemy is global
So couldn't a family sue her for lying if they had proof they showed up with their kid unmasked and workers showed up unvaxxed and were turned away or fired? Isn't that a mandate? Don't they have proof they lost their jobs because of non-mandate mandates? Etc.?
we need class actions
In class action lawsuits, the lawyers rake in millions of dollars while the victims each get pennies. They're a racket.
Hey San Francisco
The ending of the second term is a great time for an abortion.
I pretty strongly suspect he'll be re-elected, but miracles happen.
An asshole for a shithole
With a name like Wiener, what could go wrong?
Of course he will. He’s a pervert.
Apparently ChatGPT has been programmed to deny the obvious: “Misinformation” is facts that are inconvenient to my objectives.
Yeah. Misinformation is intentional. Incorrect information is not.
“Congress shall make no law…abridging the freedom of speech…”
As they don’t understand “infringed,” I have no expectation they understand “abridged” either. 🤮
ChatGPT is nothing more than a parrot trained to regurgitate the "correct" response.
That’s cuz they’re all totalitarians.
It won’t last long after they get what they want.
