Membah’ when Joe “this ground is hot, man, but seriously ...” Biden did campaign events in 2020 on the rare occasion that he was furloughed from his basement, and there would be 6-10 people there? Good times. But he got 81 million votes in the cleanest election in history. C’mon Jack!
anyone that watched the debate is part of the problem. The dying media doesnt deserve your attention on any issue, and should be ignored always. Make a pledge to avoid it 100% this election, and seek out the info you need through non traditional outlets. Fuck these gatekeepers and there propaganda.
Fox live-streamed the debate on rumble??? If so it helps Fox News. If you watched it on an independent commentator channel of some sort that’s good. Didn’t know that was an option but I had little interest in watching it anyway. It’s an orchestrated bull shit sesssion hoping to create a headline with a gotcha moment.
Things will degrade further still. But as Churchill said, if this isn't the beginning of the end, it's at least the end of the beginning. The energy is shifting.
Things must degrade all the way to a point where they can no longer. As with N Korea and quantum world alike, the totalitarian principle holds strong 😏:
🗨 Everything not forbidden is compulsory.

ETA The rest of quite stale enchilada: In England, everything is permitted except what is forbidden. In Germany, everything is forbidden except what is permitted. In France, everything is allowed, even what is prohibited. In the USSR, everything is prohibited, even what is permitted. (Admittedly, didn't age too well 🤷)
I set my alarm for 8:53 last night so I was able to watch the interview as soon as it was posted.
Was I particularly interested in an interview of Mr. Trump*? No, not especially. However, I saw my viewing as a protest. A small, petty protest sure, but hopefully enough others would do the same and a message would be sent. To Fox, to AOC, to the RNC and all the other cancellers out there STOP TRYING TO TAKE AWAY MY FREEDOM OF THOUGHT.
Apparently, I was not alone.
*it is my opinion that government officials should not retain their titles after they leave office. You go back to being like the rest of us when you are no longer “serving”.
They get more time off than anyone else I know, all sorts of perks, great stock tips, medical care, etc. How are they providing "service" to any of us?
That snotty little witch has never known what she was talking about ever. How she got elected and then re-elected is beyond me. But then live in Canada where our Mr. Blackface clown has been elected once and re-elected twice! This is a man who's only speeches answerd to media are five talkings points strung together over and over between the ums, ers, and ehs.
Nothing amazes me anymore in politics about who gets elected. Look how many times Ted Kennedy got re-elected when the voters knew how slimy he was after Chappaquiddick.
In some sense, Trump was "de-platforming" the debates though, and that worked. The difference is that he didn't keep them from speaking, he simply did what a leading brand would do and refused to mention competitors in his own ad.
Deplatforming worked out great for anyone with even a casual interest in Tucker Carlson. We had a FOX Nation subscription just to watch his show, but I cancelled it the day he was shut down. Now we, and anyone in the world with internet access can watch him for free. Who'd have believed Twitter (I can't call it "X" just yet) would become Radio Free America?
What’s funny is that she celebrated him being ‘deplatformed’ from a channel where he had little influence, beyond deepening existing conservative rage. He was a lot ‘safer’, from her standpoint, when he was stuck on Fox.
Total backfire. It would be interesting to be the fly on the wall when they realized Tucker went from big fish in small pond to big fish in the Ocean! Going from 3 mil to 180 mil.....🤭
Deplatforming works! Disappearing works! Gulags work! Tying a concrete brick to someone’s feet and throwing them off a pier works! Shooting someone in the back of the head, leaving the body on the LIE, leaving the gun, and taking the cannoli works! Pauly, you won’t see him no more.
I haven’t watched news on television in years. Local news stopped about 5 years ago. National stopped 10 years ago. I usually read news (or about news) from people I trust to be more accurate than the major national media outlets which have devolved into propaganda for Oligarchs. This fragmentation seems chaotic now, which is why they are trying to censor and “control narratives” but it will win out and be seen as beneficial over time.
Wait a second, no red tie?

Ruth Ben-Ghiat is vexed!
She got the vexine?

I didn't watch it, either, but it sounds like Vivek was the only one who opposed the proxy war in Ukraine. That's a good thing.
No more Fox in my diet. Watters and Kat and Gutfield were pretty good, but that is not the point.
They want to stifle free speech, and control the conversation. End of story. They deserve no support in any of their outlets.
LOL This is exactly what we said would happen.
Question is, what happens when even *they* have to acknowledge?
I’m afraid things must degrade further still, before it becomes readily apparent.
Things will degrade further still. But as Churchill said, if this isn't the beginning of the end, it's at least the end of the beginning. The energy is shifting.
I fervently hope you are right, Chris. 🤞
Yes, I know it.

Change the USSR-line to:
"In Russia everything is for sale, for money or your life" and it checks out.
A certain Wagner-group boss would agree, if he had survived his recent airplane-"accident".
Meh 😒 Your updated line is quite universal, checks out wherever in modern era 🤸
Yah, perhaps, but in Russia it's about as subtle as it was in Liberia in the 1980s or in Kosovo in the 1990s.
Distinction without difference 😝
Your avatar always makes me jump!
I think there must be a bug on the screen.
Oh, how high? 😇 I hear exercise is good for your health 😉
PS That's the point, ie just THE most modest POINT ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah, I don't understand how they are "serving."

You can always judge a man by the number of verbal pauses he takes to complete a thought, let alone a speech!

"A culture built on a foundation of deplatforming and coercion fails."
Goddamn right. But beware the death spasms.
It's now 197M
YES

You are not allowed to see what is behind that door.
That door becomes the "most interesting door in the world"
Human nature.
AOC is great for one thing, at least ... showing us the stupid at the heart of the Democrat party
