I really enjoyed this discussion. My favorite was the story of your encounter with the Yellowstone worker in middle of the night. Human joy is contagious. 😊

Man, I would pay to see a chat between Scott Adams and Sam Harris. They could call it “cognoscenti dissonance”!

He's done one - about 3 years ago maybe. Scott came off better between the 2. Not saying much, but...

I wonder if that was before Harris succumbed to his TDS.

I believe it was at the height of it, when Scott was all-in all the time for Trump, taking all the credit for Trump getting elected.

The point you made at the end, that conventional electoral politics is becoming irrelevant to anything that matters, is very on point. Ditto, legacy media. Ditto academia. Nothing they do matters, because they're all just jerking one another off engaging in mimetic rituals (thanks for introducing that concept btw).

Question then is, what next. Well as you also said in the interview, this networked, disintermediated discussion that's taking place within independent citizen media, together with the ersatz academia of intellectuals leaving the legacy institutions in disgust, is becoming increasingly vibrant. It's where all the energy is.

I'd go a bit further. We're also the ones who resisted the psychological onslaught of the greatest psyop campaign in history. We're Gideon's Army now.

So, we've got the intellectual chops; we've got the strength of character; and we've increasingly got the attention of the populace.

Who as you also point out - are much healthier than the current elite. Not as healthy as they could be. But certainly healthier. It's not the people who need to be replaced.

Well, I think you see where I'm going with this ... and what I think the focus of discourse will be moving forward this year.

Thanks.....it's always a joy to find people like Chris for the show.....easy peasy and good value. He always makes me feel that there is a reason to go on......even if its just because there are people like the poo-man who are clearly very spiritually evolved. Everyone says in a big fake way they are :"humbled" these days but that story actually did make me feel that. Like when a nurse helps out with something gross and embarrassing but makes you feel OK about it. Chris has the best stories.

I really enjoyed your discussion with Trish, you guys hit the nail on the head on all the topics you discussed. I particularly like the Sam Harris insanity that even if people were right about the response to the pandemic, they were right at the wrong time, so they are still wrong. Some people it seems, no matter how academically accomplished they may be and intelligence, still lack plain common sense, and as Trish says so many times and correctly, completely lack the ability to think critically. Throughout the pandemic it always amazed me how people simply accept the legacy media narrative without question. The silly thing about it was that the information that easily poked holes in the media narrative was right there if people looked for it. For me it was the Health Canada statistics posted on their public web sites. One look at a months worth of stats made it clear that the only people hugely impacted by COVID were the elderly, and I mean the very elderly, the 80 plus, yes the legacy media rarely put this into context when reporting the deaths. So disgusting, such deception, and such gulllibility on so much of the population.

Listening to the podcast. You mentioned the montage of news commercials "brought to you by Pfizer". I think Todd Herman put that together. At least it's the only place I've ever heard it.

I first heard you on Todd Herman's podcast. Another true critical thinker.

Nice to hear validation for what we all know to be true. The Davos idiots really have no idea what buffoons they are. And, yes, John Kerry is hideous. And what I love about Yellowstone story is how evenly you dealt with it - not all indignant and upset -just “hey, uh, we have a problem”. And you were handsomely rewarded. I am totally in awe of your camping stories. I camped all my life (in a tent at Yellowstone, too) and now, sadly, have had to give it up. The best part of camping was the camaraderie with fellow campers, respect for the rules- spoken and unspoken. How we watched out for each other but kept a friendly distance. Kind of the way America used to be. Really awesome podcast and will listen again. Thank you.

The unspoken rules are the most interesting rules, and it's darkly interesting to watch the transition to a social world of explicit and declared rules where there just used to be things that people already knew.
