Motive Doesn't Matter
Spend a single minute watching this before you read what follows.
The debate we’ve had here — is the political class in the Western democracies made up of breathtakingly incompetent fools, or are they darkly clever plotters who are destroying things on purpose? — still matters in many ways. But for the purpose of choosing a course in your own life, it doesn’t matter. Whether they’re empty fools or malevolent geniuses, you have to know at this point that you simply can’t trust a single word any of them say.
Where that goes over the course of time, and what the resolution looks like, is a different matter, but you can start by simply rejecting whatever a Justin Trudeau or an Anthony Fauci tell you to do. Below, I will illustrate the correct application of this important principle:
“You must inject this substance into your body.”
“No.”
Or:
“You must wear a mask.”
“No.”
On the latter point, here’s Barbara Ferrer, the relentless catastrophist and professional hysteric who serves as the “director of health health” for Los Angeles County, at Dodger Stadium, the same week she issued dire warnings about the extreme danger of the new Covid wave that will require us all to wear masks again:

Today at a restaurant in Portland OR....half of just the staff wearing masks, none of the customers...on my check I wrote 'look up 'mask induced pneumonia' with a sad face....they do not see their 'forever fear' as 'forever consent', but it is.
