I just went to the supermarket in Wokeville, and masking was back up over half. There's a terrifying new variant!

Expand full comment

A virus so terrifying that you need to be tested to know that you have it due to your total lack of symptoms.

Of course, the covidians would say that some people ARE at risk, and if you catch it and pass it on without realizing you'll have blood on your hands. Which narrative preserves their own status as morally pure brahmins, while also preserving their excuse to force us into masks and jam needles into our arms.

I've been particularly fond of the Covidians who proclaim "I'm immunocompromised* so you're threatening ME!!! if you don't dance to my tune" but never bother to take any special precautions like staying home.

(* "immunocompromised" is the new "gluten-sensitive")

*immunocompromised is the new 'morbidly obese but my health should be more important to you than it obviously is to me'.

John, my husband and I are on a nationwide trek from Southwest FL, through TN, OH, WI, MN, SD, CO and WY. We are currently driving through NE on our way to SC before going back to FL. Never in my almost 60 years on this mortal coil have I ever witnessed the level of obesity across so much of the US in all age groups. Deborah Birx needs to be hog tied and pistol whipped for convincing Trump to lock us down - “2 weeks to slow the spread” Clearly just the level of diabetes and BP/heart issues was enough to start the big “die-off” before the big poison jab guns made their appearance.

The lockdowns were just throwing gasoline on a fire that was already burning. Those of us with an interest in nutrition have been swimming against the mainstream for many years.

Yes I’ve seen the rates of obesity and diabetes rise since my childhood, 50 years ago- it’s just so heartbreaking to see such fat young people, not just fat but morbidly obese children and teens, boys who look flaccid and feminine (60 years of the pill in our water supply) and all the glyphosate that’s been consumed over the years. 💔

It's that, but it's also

I have fibromyalgia

I have chronic fatigue syndrome

I have "severe" asthma (cough cough)

I have [insert catastrophized/psychosomatic/hypochondriac condition here]

so I'm IMMUNOCOMPROMISED!!!!

I was literally dealing with this person a couple of days ago.

If you're that fragile, like ... just stay home.

OMG these people are everywhere. If they were “immunocompromised” before Covid, how did they even function then? And since then they’ve gone completely off the rails.

Expand full comment

Exactly. If they are that sick they need to protect themselves, not require every other living human being on earth to literally stop living thier own lives in order protect them.

Expand full comment

But then they wouldn't get the (maybe subconscious?) frisson of bending you to their will and validating their "condition".

That's exactly why I hate those passive-aggressive mutants so very, very much.

I think Britain is catching up with USA in terms of the percentage of population in that category, if what I've seen while on holiday is anything to go by. Maybe the choice between heating and eating (see my earlier post) will erm.....help resolve our obesity crisis cos blimey, do we have one 😆

One sticker I've seen says: "Positive vibes get people killed"

You cannot tell if it's serious or satirical. I posted a photo of the sticker at https://twitter.com/ArneChristensen/status/1561890118901698560

'some people ARE at risk'

As they have always been, even from such everyday things as colds and flu. Yet humanity survived. What's different now? They've figured out how to plumb all this up to the profit spigot.

Expand full comment

Reorganizing our society around 'some people are at risk tho' is remarkably similar to doing so over 'the weather is changing' and the flip side of playing make believe that boys are girls. One is the elevation of a normal state of affairs to emergency status; the other the abrupt forgetting of the normal state of affairs.

I've just had a 3 week self imposed break from all social media while on holiday. I can tell you in the real world (in UK I should add) nobody gives a damn about covid anymore. The odd freak still in a mask, they get stared at, then people move on shaking their heads like "wtf?" But it's over here. We have a real crisis looming. This winter millions of brits will literally have to choose between feeding their families or putting the heating on. And our imploding govt is doing bugger all about it.....

That's what happens when Govt. listens to the Greenies. Definitely not your fault, but still, there it is.

Twenty five years ago, I was a cofounder of the Green Party on my university campus. We believed in common sense things like, "hey, let's not dump toxic waste in the river" and "it would be good if the City planted more trees".

Now when I look at the "Green" parties of the world, pushing anti-human climate cultism and Progressive hate politics... I'm ashamed of that label "Green", that I used to wear as a badge of honor. How has it come to this?!

And also allowing energy companies to just keep charging what the hell they like despite wholesale prices coming down....and paying fat cat bosses billions. But don't get me started.

I coach a youth football team in SoCal. One kid 'got Covid' last week... tested positive. Half of the parents immediately scramble to test their 'asymptomatic' kids. No one else positive. They proudly posted their 'negative' tests on the team's social site... "thank goodness we're vaxxed etc etc etc. "

Not sure if the insanity will ever end here

Fifth day of school, some kid who didn’t even show up to class apparently got covid and now my daughter’s whole class is masked for 10 days.

There are 32(!) children in the class… which means potentially 320 days of masking this school year. Barbara Ferrer must be very proud.

The administrators of your daughter's school should be jailed, for torturing the students.

As with all things covid, everyone is complicit. The parents, teachers, principal, school superintendent, school board, and most of all our county public health director who issued the “close contact” mask requirement. We’re trying to get her fired but it’s not so simple.

On the plus side, that one kid's dad's bravery (refusing to let his four-year-old be forcibly masked, and going on Fox News to talk about it) made the district drop its mask mandate in a matter of days. Keep on ignoring it, folks, and the loons will only be talking to themselves.

889 days

33 states (where I probably interacted with thousands of people)

0 Masks

No "social distancing"

Never been tested

Surely, at some point, the Rona gon hunt me down. Maybe. Probably not.

Hanging out in the bars of Miami, where I enjoy talking with travelers from around the world, I think I caught "duh ommi-cwon" last spring. Had the sniffles for two days. Even had to buy a box of Kleenex. Oh the horror!!

Same.

We seem to have fallen over some kind of precipice. We've gone from a "norm", of clinically insane, to stark raving f'ing mad. Health care professionals have convinced themselves that symptomless "infections" warrant the same level of hysteria that a bout of the sniffles did a year ago. Perhaps the real need is for an in depth review of the credentialing process for the medical profe$$ion.

Just had it, again. Third time.

It’s a cold.

The continued public freak out is merely a performative ritual of the new Covid religion. Instead of vestments and censers, its acolytes have masks and yard signs (In THIS House, WE BELIEVE!!!!).

I still cannot believe we destroyed an economy, and a great country, over this.

I just got over Covid. I was SICK for a week, fatigued for a week, and now I'm pretty much fine except for a cough.

So, in other words, it was like

...wait for it...

a bad flu.

I'm 57, in good health, and I only ever had the first two shots. I can absolutely imagine that most people younger than me would have mild-to-undetectable cases.

It occurred to me on about day 3 of moderate to high fever, that nobody is talking about variants anymore. Used to be that "OMG Omicron 23.B.14.(z) is spreading! AIEEE!" was all over the news all the time. In the last few months I get the feeling that nobody cares.

Oh, Canada...you have become so embarrassing...... I was just in Vancouver, BC and it was like stepping back in time... ALOT of people still masked, even outdoors, A LOT of businesses still required masks....yes, mandatory...I did not go in but if they were close enough to the front door, I told them what I thought, politely......A LOT of businesses did not take CASH only debit or credit so I told them that it's wrong not to take CDN currency and it's discriminatory...they said COVID, I said nope, digital ID....it was crazy, disappointing and scary......my hotel did not clean rooms until after day 3 because, you know, COVID...I said that if it was about COVID you would clean more not less.......unbelievable...... it's soooo clear to see the insanity, mass formation and plandemic now, more than ever.....

Wife and I are just finishing up a vacation with some friends and their family (all of whom we have known for decades and love dearly). It has been harrowing experience. Looking at three generations of people at various dephs of a cult, including unspoken secrets, lies of omission.and chilling anecdotes. Surreal to hear two max-vax people discuss a cousin whose mother is in the ICU from a clotting adventure that resulted in a serious blood infection, knowing the whole time that if they knew our "status" they might round on us like the devil in a clearcut forest. Strange times.
