This never-ending avalanche of bad news - Epstein, ICE, Voting Etc. - is a demoralizing military tactic used to take down societies, and it is being fully deployed here.

President Obama: "You just have to flood a country's public square with enough raw sewage, you just have to raise enough questions, spread enough dirt, plant enough conspiracy theorizing that citizens no longer know what to believe. Once they lose trust in their leaders, in mainstream media, in political institutions, in each other, in the possibility of "truth", the games won."

Who is behind this? The 1%:

Here is well over a dozen Fox, CBS, ABC, & NBC local news stations all reading an identical script sent down from their singular overlord to crash & burn alternative media in order to enhance the Oligarchy’s Overwhelming threat to our democracy:

https://substack.com/@tritorch/note/c-208406729

Ultimately we are not consuming news. We are consuming a product manufactured by the richest men in human history, and that product is designed to do one thing: keep us so busy fighting our neighbors that you never notice the chains being fastened around our wrists.

Usually works really well, and it is working great in Europe and Canada. It worked long ago in the Third World. But they forgot the first step in the U.S. The most crucial first step. They're plowing ahead because they have a lot of momentum, but some day they're going to regret that first step - they forgot to secure the guns.

Charles Wemyss, Jr.'s avatar

They forgot to secure the guns. And they forgot that the other 1% AKA the veterans, especially veterans from the combat arms know how to use the guns, know how to deploy and while no one likes even the very thought of war, have either been or are psychologically prepared for it. They really ought to let the sleeping dogs lie…otherwise “Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war…” they have no clue…

Kathy Christian's avatar

They know that, and that's why they beat the drum of gun control after every black shooting. They can't fully implement the dictatorship of the proletariat until they disarm the populace, as they did in the Soviet Union.

Steenroid's avatar

I just don’t see that happening in the US. Especially since a significant number of active duty servicemen will be on the right side.

Just came back from a short drive through my deep blue city. Pathetic OG hippies in tie-dye standing on all four sides of an intersection holding up sad-looking crayon-drawn signs with slogans like “stop the cruelty”, “shit’s getting scary”, “ICE out”, and even a recycled “no kings”. Bedraggled fools.

We first need to build a platform of local strength, self-dependence, and resiliency. Once done, and we have a solid foundation from which to stand, from there we begin working on taking back the higher levels: country, state, federal.

The following solutions were crowdsouced from various forums across the web. I have distilled them into this:

The solution is to get local, get self-dependent, get the common unity back in community by building webs of resilience with your neighbors, get control of your school boards, mayors and sherrif's office, and town councils (the last places we still hold all of the cards), get a garden in your lawn no matter how small, a single tomato plant is better than nothing, get a well (water is your most important resource hands down), get ready, get moving, get doing, and, if so inclined, get God.

Detailed:

Don't build a bigger fence to keep our your neighbor, build a bigger table.

The only winning move is not to play their sick game. They thrive on our energy and fear, angst, doubt, and dread they stir in us. The one thing these emotional vampires hate the most is for their manipulation and terrorism to get ignored. Cut down your TV & internet usage by 97%, go local, and all of their terror goes away meanwhile we become stronger as they flail around in angst. Here’s how:

Civilization, goes and old maxim, is never more than three meals away from barbarism—once the food deliveries stop, so does law and order. Therefore, the baseline of preparedness is as follows:

Put all your support behind your local farmers, then become your own. A garden in every lawn should be standard. You can no longer trust anything from a corporation, so cutting out reliance on a retailer is a good place to start thinking about your resiliency. ‘Incorporated’ City water isn’t viable either for its quality or reliability, so wells must be dug (there is no resource more important in your life than clean water, hands down).

Beyond that, begin ending your dependence on their enslavement protocol Federal Notes by creating local currencies and discovering the lost art of bartering, and again start - these cannot be emphasized enough - stitching together webs of alliances with your neighbors for resiliency, defense, and resource sharing (they might grow what you do not and vice versa)—put the “common unity” back in community, and get control of those town councils, mayor and sherrif offices, and school boards (the few places we still hold all of the cards) and get your kids out of them. Finally: stop eating, listening to, and watching things that are bad for your mind, body, and spirit, and, if so inclined, spend a good chunk of your time on your knees each day.

Above all: Fear not. Live your life. Find your happiness. Turn your back on those who would gleefully turn it into misery. Win the game by refusing to play theirs.

All of the above is a recipe for success and if everyone did this, we would take the world back in a groundswell. Let's get to work building a future worth living in, together, because if we do not, Harari & Co will ensure we will not have one

LMAO! You nailed it. If they clutched those pearls any tighter the Oyster is gonna scream. Oh, The Humanityyyyyyyyyýýyyyyyy!!!

Bobby Lime's avatar

The problem, Chris, is that so many people are so vacuous that this sort of nonsense convinces them.

If Trump had Reagan's rhetorical brilliance instead of being the muttonhead he is he would have made a major policy address from the Oval Office, explaining quietly and rationally, point by point, that the law is the law and that it must be enforced. Has he ever made such a speech about anything? If so I can't recall it. He also would have sent in as much military as needed to shut the assh*les down. Declare martial law. Confiscate those ***damned whistles. Arrest the signal creeps. Martial law has done wonderful things for the District of Columbia. If what has been going on in Minnesota isn't insurrection the word has no meaning.

But he suffers from the disability most Republicans have suffered from: he can't talk. He can babble paeans to his genius, everyone knows he's a genius, his people say, "Sir, we've never known anyone like you," that's what they tell him, they all tell him that...

I lament the elections to come. The Republicans should make the brilliant, immensely likeable and very funny Senator John Kennedy, of Louisiana, the face and voice of the party for the next three years. The other day, he said that Walz was a born liar, a less masculine version of Hillary Clinton. It's too bad he has no chance to become president.

Bobby Lime has been posting comments on Rod Dreher’s Substack for years, so I have no idea what you are trying to prove. Yes, this is a new account, probably due to the loss of a password, but I am familiar with his writings.

Based on this and the time you unloaded on me for my forgetting that Mr. Bray was the source of a quote, I conclude you don’t like your teammates very much.

Bobby Lime's avatar

Thank you, Thomas. The guy is obviously barely articulate.

Korpijarvi's avatar

Good gravy. When did Substack get infested with ConInc. boomers?

Bobby Lime's avatar

Well, that comment settles it: you are an idiot.

Thomas F Davis's avatar

Oh, I think he is articulate. He just trips over himself while trying to be clever and pure. But we know his heart is mainly in the right place.

Bobby Lime's avatar

For him the measure of human worth appears to be the numbers of followers somebody has on social media. It never occurs to people like that that for some of us, having followers on social media seems a violation of privacy. And it's never been my ambition to write a Substack, though when I got into it, I did register a name for a prospect, the idea of writing which overcrowds my soul.

I comment if I have something to say which I think is worthwhile to say. The phenomenon of Republican helplessness with the English language is one which has been with us for a long time.

Have you noticed the Leftists massing to gang up on Vance, who can talk? The other day on Slate I read an article which one commenter correctly labeled as "vile." It was entitled something like "Usha Vance Knows What She is Doing," and essentially asserted that her pregnancy is all about public relations. Sickening.

Here’s the Wired bio on the writer of this claptrap:

“Ali Winston is an independent reporter covering criminal justice, privacy, and extremism. He has written for The New York Times, Rolling Stone, New York magazine and has reported documentaries for BBC Panorama and PBS.”

If you drill down to the summary of his last 10+ stories at Wired - they all focus on the bad, bad political right attempting to take away our rights as citizens with excessive military-style police force. It’s a recurrent theme - that fails to mention anything that can be the result of non-existent immigration policies and wide open borders during the administration of President Otto Pen.

The corporate media elite can’t be discredited as fully and quickly as they deserve based on their wildly irresponsible writings that sadly for some form the basis for misguided perceptions of what is actually happening on the ground.

I didn't look at the author's name, and I just assumed from the writing style that it was a young female. It's so hard to tell nowadays.

Korpijarvi's avatar

Grad of U of Chicago and UC Berkeley too.

IIRC he writes for the lefty "alternative" outlet Oaklandside (East SF Bay) among his various panoply of places. (There is also a Berkeleyside, founded well after darling and I left there, after our short stint north of the Gourmet Ghetto during one...problematic...infrastructure contract of about nine months' duration. But occasionally we'd continue to be forwarded something from these outlets.)

I thought I heard that Winston lived, or maybe used to, next to Columbia in NYC. I found that area (Morningside Heights/Riverside, etc.) pretty upscale when I used to have meetings with some NASA people nearby.... City Data says the median house/condo value of that 'hood/ZIP was $1.175 million in 2023. Median. The kind of place where apartment buildings are in gated gardens, have "doormen" (security) and such.

My point with being, the overwrought claptrap (good word) is a sort of Performative Slumming for the privileged darlings. And a sort of indulgence-buying as well. Our privileged darlings with their topscale educations and peripatetic independent lives can look down on peons with roots who are trying to keep control of their own areas' boundaries with law enforcement of those boundaries. Peons who can't expect seven-figure house/condo values to do the job for them. I'm willing to bet that if unauthorized people tried to enter Winston's Manhattan condo stack without approval, they'd be deported from the premises posthaste.

Leonard's avatar

Reads like the bio of the broad that runs NPR. MI6 stooge.

Korpijarvi's avatar

Woah woah woah. He told us hisownself that he's an !!! INDEPENDENT !!! "journalist"!

Interestingly on his UC Berkeley alumni page he appears as

> Antonio (Ali) Winston

His Muck Rack resume is very long, and aligns with your hunch. First, the number of articles (he's obviously placed to get fed with leads/connections). Second how they amped way up as/after his grad school stint at Berkeley J school. Third, the laser-targeted consistency of perspective and messaging across all these "alternative" outlets.

Dick Minnis's avatar

Okay by me...Some writers have described the violent Minnesota protests as an insurrection based on the military style of organization that was exposed by Cam Higby, an independent journalist and political commentator. He infiltrated an encrypted anti-ice activist signal chat group and published a detailed thread on X outlining the structure of groups that were organized to monitor, identify, and interfere with ICE activity. The Minnesota resistance ecosystem is not hierarchical but rather a multi-layered coalition of leftist non-profits, decentralized neighborhood organizations, Antifa supporters, Democratic Socialists, some faith based groups and an alleged connection with governmental institutions. They use encrypted activist chats, surveillance behavior, and operational coordination with layered security protocols and procedures similar to military style insurgency.

I know the media article was propaganda narrative, but would still reply it's fair to make them live by their own rules.... Saul Ralinsky.

“WHY DID YOU HAVE REAL BULLETS ?!?!!!” Famous last words.

Gee, if the Minnesota governor hadn't insisted that the Federal Government was invading his state and brutalizing his people, and the Minneapolis mayor and MN state government hadn't insisted on siccing the police on ICE instead of cooperating, ICE wouldn't need to go around like they're likely to be ambushed and attacked. Hint, they ARE being ambushed and attacked by an organized guerrilla force, just not one supplied with "machine guns" yet. It's not from lack of trying.
