There's a point where the manipulation becomes so obvious, no one pays attention. Or, they read the media account completely differently than intended. Margaret Thatcher tells a story in her memoirs about how in the USSR "whenever the Soviet media reported that scientists had found that some food--sausage, say--was bad for your health, the ordinary Russians reacted immediately by telling each other: "So they're running out of sausage."
I wish you would quit pouncing so much. But I do understand walking around in your bathrobe and mumbling oft times. The non- pouncing lefties are driving our society and the world over the cliff.
Chris, your mistake is reading the Washington Post or NYT “as if” it’s journalism, rather than the Democrat party political broadsheet that it is, “experts say.”
First, thank you for reading this junk for me, I avoid it at all costs. My default position has become that I don’t believe anything from any news source, left or right. I wait for the real journalists to dig in and discover the true facts, which usually takes a few days.
Second, so much of this stuff is just talk, words written on a website, usually in a way to get clicks. It’s marketing, of a sort, but not news. And it is rarely anything that physically affects me/us. So I don’t really care that much, except for the entertainment you bring when you dissect it. But it isn’t really serious stuff.
When 'experts say' it's time to run for cover ASAP. You mentioned previously how boring this routine has become. Same cartoon as yesterday, same cartoon as tomorrow's.... after awhile you feel foolish for paying any attention but luckily we have a real masochist working hard here to do the heavy lifting. Thank you, Chris!
Even in Texas. That’s why you try to stay out of bad situations and bad locations. If you are attacked, you may find yourself in a world of legal trouble / expense for simply defending your life or the lives of those around you. Gets very complicated and expensive. Even if you “ win”, the process is the punishment.
Yes, don’t you just hate those random blogs? Too many free-wheeling ideas out of lockstep with the “truth, as fed to us by government-approved house organs like the Post. Where are Nina Jankowicz and the FBI when we need them? We need to shut this guy Bray down
I like to blog about current events. It's got to a point I can't keep up anymore. Not a day doesn't go by when I don't hear something on the radio that demands a response. But it takes time, energy and thought to not sound like an idiot when you write about it.
"...Republican politicians using his case to score points on the latest front of the culture war, experts say.” *Experts say.*
They gotta get those "experts" in there. Experts in what, pray tell? And given experts' track record throughout at least these last three years, perhaps this is an ever-reliable signpost calling the statement into question and giving readers a heads up that what's to come is likely going to be pure, unadulterated bullshit.

This is exactly what I wonder.
And then the New York Times writes the very same story, down to the AOC/DeSantis comparison and the discussion of Kyle Rittenhouse:

"Mainstream" journalists are all the same person, living in different bodies. They engage in ritual recitation for a living.

So that whole innocent until proven guilty thing is optional I see.
And "experts say" is akin to putting up a blinking sign that what comes next is not worth reading.
It was a modern day lynching, Chris! Haven’t you heard?

All this seizing and pouncing is exhausting me....I'm going to lie down..

Not sure this is worthy of your time anymore Chris.
