What scares me is the folks who can't see that it's bullshit, no matter how absurd it gets. Another example:

White House Releases 11-Page Review of Biden Botched Afghanistan Withdrawal, Blaming Trump for Biden’s Bad Decisions

The Gnostics believed some sizable percentage of people have no soul, no inner life, and nothing about them that transcends the purely material (hylics), and that seems to map on pretty well to the idea of NPCs. The folks who eat the bullshit and swear it's yummy sirloin steak, no matter how much of it they eat and no matter how badly their breath reeks of shit, just because their screens tell them the shit is actually steak, those folks are making me really think the Gnostics were right.

A scary thing to think these peeps will never be able to connect the obvious dots back to sanity. I'd rather blame their lack of mental fixtures & fittings, and wouldn't go out on a spiritual limb 🤔

The sparkle of paradox is the secret power behind the assertions like a man can be a woman, mutilating a child is affirming care and so on. The people who are impressed with sparkly things will always fall for bullshit, especially those engaged in defending the idea that they are very smart people.

Well I do like sparkly things. But I can still spot a fake.

This is the bit from Orwell, about how the PTB can't persist in obscuring the truth "in ways that would impair military efficiency," if I remember the phrase right. We all know people who have died suddenly or become very ill after the corona shots, and for most of us, everyone or nearly everyone who has gotten the shots has caught corona at least once. We know that Trump was skanky with respect to women and unscrupulous when it came to eminent domain and real estate projects, but not a felon. We know that a boy is a boy, and that a teen boy can generally run faster than a teen girl. We know that our Edison lightbulbs (taken away from us lo these many years) aren't responsible for a snowstorm in Buffalo or a hurricane in Florida. (And whatever happened to the hole in the ozone layer? It was all the rage when I was 12.)

Unfortunately, the other thing we know is that people who profit from selling carbon credits and mRNA injections have pervaded the administrative state. I don't know what these people get out of persecuting Trump, but I'm sure it's something. Maybe it's distracting people from other potential presidents; maybe it's just reminding us that the tax code is a weapon that is always ready to be used.

I don't read the crap, and I don't follow the circus, but I am disheartened at the power the bad guys have. At least Trump can afford good legal representation. I wonder how much of the administrative state Bobby, Jr., would replace if he won. He seems unafraid of the bullies, and frankly, I'd like to keep DeSantis here. DeSantis also may not be cynical enough to strike at the root of the problem.

Surely the taxpayer ought to be involved somehow... Hard to believe we're not funding some kind of counter-insurgency. USDA has permanent offices in my old county in PA, vainly chasing down every last spotted lanternfly. Anyone who has followed that saga--and sees that the feds believe it's possible to eradicate a flying insect that lays a kajillion eggs in the woods--could see just how dumb and evil the corona story was going to get.

FYI incandescent bulbs are NOW being sold in home depot, walmart, and elsewhere -- thanks to Trump who made it possible for incandescents to be manufactured and sold again.

BUT buy all the halogen and incandescents you can before August 1, 2023 when they will no longer be sold anywhere in the United States of Tyranny.

Resident potatohead's minions will only allow useless LED bulbs to be sold after that date.

I understand your combat fatigue, writing as you do. But this indictment in NYC, is like the ones coming in DC and Atlanta. They are for socialist show trials. There's no there, there. Just made up words to explain made up charges. There will be more, I'm certain. The socialists have used this vehicle for over 100 years. So, defend Trump, his family, and any of his associates with your pen and sage comments, but remember, the charges are parodies of justice, empty words and phrases made to obfuscate and confuse, not seek justice. Keep up the great work and be a happy warrior (I know that's hard sometimes).

Part of the purpose for the shit on the news is to blot out anything real that threatens to enter the discussion. The shit itself doesn't matter. What matters is that they fire the shit out in a continuous, high speed stream, just a tidal wave of yammering and idiot nonsense, so that you don't ever get the time to look outside of the Skinner box.

What we need to understand is that Leftists don't really believe that what they say is true, in the way that we have beliefs about what it true. THE LEFT LIE FOR EFFECT. The media stream is a strategy, and individual lies are tactics.

On a recent podcast with Larry Johnson, the podcast host speaking of how he met some Ukrainians that didn't even know that Ukraine was shelling Donbass areas for past decade.

That's what AI in charge of all information will do under RESIST Act. There will be ZERO way to get any information not sanctioned by the PTBs, short - maybe - carrying a USB stick around. So if New Hampshire is shelling Maine, but no one knows and no one can speak or hear about it, then did it really happen? A tree falls in the forest...

Alexander Mercouris recently (April 1, I thiunk) speaking about due process. Seems to me due process is the flip of violence. If the state monopolizes violence, then it must guarantee due process - in all forms. Otherwise rule of law turns into arbitrary rule of man. Totalitarianism. How did JFK put it? Those who make peaceful change impossible, guarantee violent change; I paraphrase.

This isn't only international or national. It's happening in our quaint legislature in Maine. It's happening at the medical boards. It's happening in school boards. Put the AIs in charge of all information and people lose their humanity.

And this Jonathan Turley:

That's where this AI thing goes. Musk and the several thousand AI scientists saying STOP won't be able to stop it. Besides, the program is already running. That much is clear. Tell me how this ends!

I don't read any of it, so in that way, I'm not making the problem worse by giving currency and credence to the propaganda machine. The problem is what's behind the machine. We would need to replace virtually everyone in government with someone who has Chris Bray's basic decency, and shut down various executive departments, to end the control mechanism of the actual things that *are* (BS drug approvals, control of commerce, etc., etc.).

Your opponents use a stronger more frequent noise to signal ratio than you do, which is why they've been winning more and more since the late 1960s/early 1970s.

While the interesting bits are always in the signal, it's the noise that counts.

That's why "leftys" always show up with bull-horns, vuvuzelas and such: they don't have to debate, have a counter-narrative orany cogent argument if they can drone and drown you out.

The american oppostion to today's political land-slide into outright authoritarianism are trying to duke it out using Queensberry rules, against an opponent that (quite sensibly) uses the "everywhere is a target - anything is a weapon"-school of fighting.

Long as you do that, you lose. Rules are for games and sports and formal competitions: in a struggle for supremacy, power is the only currency and power rests on the will to do whatever achieves victory.

That's why the "left" wins: they understand Will to Power.

By nature an optimist, I nevertheless doubt your hopeful assertion that "enormous manipulative apparatus, policing your perceptions and putatively guardrailing where your mind can go, cannot succeed."

I similarly insisted in March 2020 that government repressions could not last long, because people would reject COVID hysteria when virtually no one they knew suffered seriously, much less died, upon contracting the respiratory virus. Sadly, I was proven wrong. The government & media psy ops were astoundingly effective, terrorizing billions of people who had little to fear, some even to this day.

And when AI is ubiquitous, many will unquestioningly accept AI pronouncements as truth.

Unfortunately, they, for many, will accept their new AI Overlords.

ALL his business holding[s] had been placed in a BLIND TRUST so that there would be no impropriety or improper dealing. Trump had absolutely NO INVOLVEMENT in the day to day of any of his businesses.
