My view of Democrat political/moral corruption and its newsworthiness is summed up by this anecdote:
Ships have logs in which the Officer of the Deck records ship movements as well as unusual events. Once an entry is written, it cannot be erased or changed. On the ship in this story, the First Mate and the Captain did NOT get along, and the Captain made the FM’s life extremely unpleasant. This continued for awhile, and then the FM had an idea. During his next watch as OOD, he wrote this log entry: “The Captain was sober today.”
My assumption is that all political and legal activity by Democrats is corrupt. It’s only noteworthy to me when it’s not. The Democrats made the courtroom a political battlefield shortly after the 1970 Clean Air Act and have not relented for a moment. They are presumed to be malevolent scumbags until they individually prove the contrary.
Or better yet x number of days since he showered with his granddaughter , that alone should have the man in jail for the rest of his life if we lived in normal times
Good assessment. It’s demonstrated I how they react to every SCOTUS decision they don’t like. “Pack the court”, “the court is illegitimate”, Justice Thomas is corrupt. It the only branch that they haven’t corrupted and it drives them crazy. They view the courts as the last firewall against their agenda.
The democrats playbook has been to weaponize the courts and the justice system. They push policies, if the public or legislature is against it, they take it to the courts. If any policy is implemented they don’t like, they take to the courts, or tell the justice system to ignore the laws.
To be fair, Republicans have had their share of, "We will see you in court." The Democrats secret sauce is that they share ideology with 95% of the media, so any Republican wins in the court are portrayed as an affront to actual justice, and their wins are just things as they should be, despite evil Republican legislation.
“Republicans have had their share of, ‘We will see you in court.’"
The principal Instance of this was resistance to racial bussing. (Although the anti-bussing riots in Boston & other major cities were hardly Republican.)
My perception is that Democrats are usually trying to force change on the voters (loosening security) and Republicans are trying to resist it.
Sure: Daniel Patrick Moynihan, Joe Lieberman, Tulsi Gabbard, Harold Ford, Jr., and possibly Kyrsten Sinema.
The issue is not agreement with conservative principles, but commitment that politics and law should be as mutually exclusive as possible, e.g., that Marc Elias’ professional existence is repugnant to the proper operation of republican government.
The weaker leftists' position in society becomes, the shriller those voices will be that we should all play by the rules. I'm not saying they're wrong, I'm just saying that you've been had. They aren't doing this because they genuinely believe in a rules-based society; they're doing it because they fear what will happen to their faltering ideology if they don't. But those voices are and were conspicuously absent at the height of their ideological power.
Not sure what I said that suggested I’ve been had, but I recognize that the Democrats are malevolent scumbags, with the exception of those noted above (and I’m sure a few I’ve forgotten).
But I'd caution: The Blue team / Red team game is the highest form of distraction. We have a uniparty problem. This issue isn't limited to Dems. My informal survey says 80% of the elected officials in D.C. would sell out their own mothers, regardless of political affiliation.
An excellent point, but I’m guilty of sloppy language rather than myopia. 😅
I do not agree that the uniparty is our biggest issue. If Republicans stopped voting for big spending bills, we’d still be in a world of 💩 in other ways.
I’m largely indifferent to political party, except that it’s a convenient shorthand. (I’m a Republican because I’m conservative, not the reverse.) People are entitled to their own sincerely held beliefs. What matters to me are beliefs which attack traditional American values – in short, cultural Marxism. The turmoil we face is largely attributable to 3 events in the 20th century: (a) the immigration of the members of the Frankfurt School, (b) the immigration of Herbert Marcuse, and (c) the invention of the Pill, which has led to the devaluation of mutual human commitment (e.g., sexual promiscuity) and overall disregard for life.
I agree. I despise every democrat, those I know and those I don’t, unless and until they prove that they are democrats in name only, and then I’m angry at them for just being so stupid. And angry that they vote.
I operate under the assumption that the media, lawyers, and everyone in the "Orange Man Bad" tribe are playing to an audience of people with Trump Derangement Syndrome. The Joe Scarborough's do not need to be convinced. It is the general public, low-information voters, they speak to. All their audience needs to hear is Trump is bad, his lawyers are dangerous, and every outcome short of a conviction is a crime against our democracy. The liberals that hate Trump eat it up and aren't following closely enough to know or care about laws or right and wrong. That's why the comments to Snell's tweet refer to him as "sir" and ask if the judge can be arrested. It is sick, but they only need the slightest provocation to go on another Orange Man Bad tirade.
I still read the headlines on Drudge Report daily, even though I can hardly stomach the content any longer. I want to know what the other side is up to. Today, a couple of headlines implied that Trump is just as senile as Biden. I'm sorry, but anyone speaking in good faith who has listened to both Trump and Biden can see that Trump is still as sharp as ever, while Biden thinks Mexico borders the Gaza Strip. I'm sure the new class of liberal Drudge Report readers also eat that up. "Yeah! The Orange Guy is just as senile as Biden!! Hur is a baddie for calling old Joe senile!"
Eh, Trump is starting to show his age. He's still pretty energetic and quick-witted, but if you compare some of his recent rallies to his 2016 campaign it's clear he's slowed down a bit.
Still, trying to compare him to Biden is ridiculous. Biden has always been an idiot, but it's becoming increasingly obvious that he's suffering some sort of degenerative disorder. I don't think I even need to justify that view here or anywhere. If media shitlibs want to keep shoveling cope about this at their readers I guess I shouldn't interrupt.
He’s an idiot…and a liar…and a plagiarist…and according to Robert Gates, he is wrong 100% of the time on foreign policy…so he’s perfect in all the worst ways.
If we're just spitballing I'd say 50s is a good time. 60s and beyond ought to be the time where you transition into being an elder - one who advises and educates but doesn't direct, because directing at that point is beneath your ability. But you know, individual differences, etc. etc.
I'd much rather Trump had seen out his two terms and by now be endorsing a protege. But one of his major flaws is that he likes to be the center of attention, so I wonder if this could have happened.
If Biden, I was perfectly content to think he was an idiot and a creep, and have thought so for over 30 years. I didn't need him to be senile to dislike him. I'm just calling that like I see it.
If Trump, you can think what you want. But 8 years is a long time at his age, and it's normal to slow down a bit (shocking he was so high energy 8 years ago).
I’m not sure making this about Trump hits the target. For example this week there was a defamation case brought by a climate “scientist” named Michael Mann in which he got a million dollar judgement against a blogger. The blogger’s offense was to criticize Mann’s extremely weak and discredited “science” research. This was a D.C court, of course, and critiquing scientific research is something that is a requirement of the scientific method. And then there is the First Amendment.
So our legal system is more deeply corrupt than at any time in history, and legal decisions are rendered based upon who is involved and what their views are. We are descending into anarchy and irrationality on many fronts. The candidates are just temporary characters in a drama of societal decay that affects everyone in the country. We have no choice but to contemplate that this will resolve favorably and peacefully without some kind of civil war.
I don't think it ends in civil war. Even the actual Civil War very nearly didn't turn hot, and only did so because of a very specific set of circumstances. If certain States, or block of States, secede, what issue would unify the rest of the country today to fight them? Union? (And, remember, the Civil War was ultimately sparked by an act of war against the Union by the Confederacy.) Hardly. Any remaining blue states are very likely to say "good riddance," understanding that removal of several red States leaves them (possibly permanently) in charge of the remainder of the country. I think they'd be OK with the trade-off (that's more of a win-win for them).
States will eventually take their balls and go home. The federal government will protest, but will do nothing to stop them.
I suspect it will happen organically when enough grandfathers have to start calling their grandsons Sarah. If we tried to plan it, the first members would be letter agency scum.
I hear that. TDS'ers in general also enthusiastically favored locking other humans in camps (if not executing them) just less than 2 years ago for refusing an experimental medical procedure that has proven to be incredibly harmful to a significant number of people.
I generally feel the same way, screw these people for believing bullshit. However, I have some family members that have been brainwashed and hope someday they will see past the propaganda.
I view it as being arrested in certain stages of intellectual/moral development. What I can't understand is how
it seems to be just as difficult for them to transcend those stages as it is for an alcoholic to stop drinking. Plus, it appears that we are all going to have to descend to rock bottom with them at this point, before they even start to get wise.
“What I can't understand is how it seems to be just as difficult for them to transcend those stages as it is for an alcoholic to stop drinking.”
Mathias Desmet in his book “The Psychology of Totalitarianism” explains Mass Formation Psychosis. Something Robert Malone DIDN’T say on Joe Rogan about MFP was that once a person is controlled by it, they NEVER exit.
It is highly likely that long-lived devotees of the Order of the Vaccine will die embracing the Vaccine as if it was a latter day Holy Grail.
As to TDS, its adherents are psychologically predisposed. They believe that socialism works, despite all historical instances having resulted in mass death, or grinding poverty at best. This disregard of physical reality is akin to religion, except that religious faith generally improves the lives of adherents. TDS results from Trump’s repudiation of the continually failing High Priests of Technical Expertise-ism.
Is it bullshit or propaganda if it is true/really happening? Let's say you have student debt and would like for it to go away so you can live a better life. And then the "president" of the United States grabs his pen and makes it so. That is real. It may have happened in an unorthodox way or illegal way or a way without the vast majority of citizens approving of the action, but it is real if you owed money and now you don't. So not bullshit or propaganda just anti-American, anti-law and anti-freedom.
I too have family members who do not want to understand that getting something for free is not really free. It is free to them and that is enough.
To be fair systems tend to become rule bound. There are always some fudging of rules here and there. It is necessary to keep activity happening. So, in 2024 we need to jail one of the two Presidential candidates, and break in every which way anyone who supports him. And if necessary two or three SCOTUS conservative Justices will likely need to be ‘eliminated’. Probably even one would do it. I don’t see Barrett or Kavanaugh not caving instantly once Thomas, for example, is offed. And…replace him with Claudine Gay. Sometimes you gotta break a few eggs if you wAnna make an omelette, right?
Yes. A sweet Mexican couple (here legally) has cleaned our house for the last 12 years. The husband speaks fluent English, but the wife almost none at all. I once asked the husband if he came to the US first and sent for the wife later. He answered no, they arrived together. I greet her in Spanish though they've lived in the US for nearly 20 years now. I'm certain that there are millions of like-minded others who have no desire nor intention to ever learn English. So much for the melting pot.
To be fair, some people really do have a very hard time with foreign languages, particularly if they never learned to read in their native language. After 20 years, she may well speak some English, but is just more comfortable (if you can do it) speaking in Spanish.
BTW: Accommodating her is the right thing to do. We have to distinguish between our political views ("when people emigrate here they must learn English") and our behavior with individuals who don't.
Ha. The Social Security Administration provides translation services in 200 languages to assist people applying for benefits. These include Social Security; Supplemental Security Income; Temporary Assistance for Needy Families; Food and Nutrition Assistance; Housing Assistance; Low-Income Home Energy Assistance; General Assistance: Earned Income Tax Credit.
No. No I didn't. Factoid: More than 12 percent of individuals receiving Supplemental Security Income, SSI, from the Social Security Administration are noncitizens. People routinely immigrate here, become citizens and then can sponsor in their elderly relatives who have never worked here a day in their lives, and enroll them in SSI regardless of their sponsoring family's income.
Pat Buchanan: A country is a set of territory which encloses a set of people with a shared language and culture. Borders, culture, language. That's what a nation is.
I laughed at Pat Buchanan in 1992, thought he was a racist, reactionary idiot. He was right.
Senator Chris Murphy said on an msnbc interview out loud that democrats plan for the last 30 has been to legalize the millions of illegals immigrants. Everybody knows it. Import more future voters then get enough control to legalize them. Hard working, LEGAL immigrants are welcome but they don’t help democrats because they don’t like illegals immigration either so the dems swing open the doors. It’s always about power and control.
A large part of the strategy is to outnumber the black people so their expectations, as Americans, can be overridden by the alien vote. But I don't think the black people are figuring this out fast enough. And their leadership is not helping them.
I agree, but African Americans only started getting mad when Texas started shipping illegal immigrants up north to democrat run “blue” cities. Prior to that you didn’t hear much because democrats opened the border and most African Americans support democrats. My point is that for most democrats, regardless of race, the NIMBY principle applies. Whether illegal immigration, defund the police, etc., it’s always NIMBY. Reactions to illegal immigrants has been pretty uniform whether in Chicago, NYC, Denver, Martha’s Vineyard, Boston or LA.
I work with an immigrant from Colombia. Now an American citizen and degreed professional that hates, not only illegal immigration, but every single Democrat policy, near as I can tell. But, you see, Republicans politicians are just plain evil so he could never possibly vote for anyone but a demoncrap.
Logic ain't exactly his strong suit.
On the flip side, the Romanian lady that started about the same time as me is as solid and rational a thinker (conservative) as I've ever met.
I spent a year at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA. SUFFERED EVERY DAY...I was forced to surf for PT, stare at the most beautiful scenery in the world, and learn to speak, read, write Russian...this was the absolute tail end of the Cold War. The putsch happened while I was there...we all thought we might be forced into another language.
I waited tables at Marie Calendars on the weekends. I was dating my (now wife) and wanted to get a ring, and I enjoyed it. It was away from the Army, away from the school, and gave me a sense of autonomy.
Like the other restaurant I worked at prior to the Army, almost all the 'back room' help were all illegals. I befriended them. I learned that 4 of them all lived in the same apartment, worked another restaurant job (so all of them worked about 80 hours a week), and they all sent their money back to their families.
I greatly admired them.
One day I was pulling some cash out of the ATM. The first prompt was "English" or "Spanish".
Up until that day, my normal response would be to think/say/behave something like, "This is the USA. Learn to speak English!"
That day the prompt struck me differently. I had been at, arguably, the best language training center on the planet for 6 months (about half way through the curriculum), and the idea of being dropped in Moscow or Leningrad (remember that?) was FRIGHTENING!
At that moment, I realized how courageous those four guys were.
They were having to learn enough English to survive and work--but without any help. I had-still have in fact--great respect for that degree of courage, audacity, willingness to suffer for their families.
To be clear, I do not support illegal immigration AT ALL...but, I do admire courage when I see it.
But you are spot on that if we don't speak the same language--our ability to find common ground, to cooperate, to build anything together, to understand each other is all reduced by about 90%.
Learning English is hard. A lifetime of isolation and poverty is harder.
While keeping a warm/open heart to the humanity of people, we need to stop patronizing them by not demanding English. At least 80% of us will take the path of least resistance if offered. Make the path to learn English the easiest path.
There have been many millions of immigrants in the past who came to America with the idea that they could be something, be free to be something. You don't need to speak the language to know when someone wants to earn their way, build something with their own mind and hands and be self-sufficient. Language certainly speeds the process, but it is not a prerequisite to living a life with integrity.
English and civics are part of the Naturalization testing (there are exceptions mostly based on age and medical condition). "A naturalization applicant must only demonstrate an ability to read, write, speak, and understand words in ordinary usage."
I hear you. I also expect everyone permanently living in the USA legally to learn English.
Since the US does not have an official language and the gov here accommodates illegal migrants by providing docs and services using their foreign/native language, why would they bother to learn?
Truth be told, I am getting very tired of being angry with my government and will need an outlet one of these days.
The abuse and corruption of the legal system for partisan purposes is the most glaring example of America’s drift away from our Constitutional moorings. We are told that illegal immigrants have rights to enter our country that must be respected, even though they do not follow the laws. We watch as prosecutors refuse to prosecute illegal immigrants who commit crimes or turn them over to immigration authorities. We see rioters burn down cities and throw Molotov cocktails at the WH and frozen water bottles at police without being arrested. Yet, ordinary people, not paid activists, who were present on J6, are being harassed for being in proximity to a riot that appears to have been provoked for political purposes.
Yet, when it comes to Donald Trump, his supporters, and pro-life activists, peaceful, law-abiding citizens are treated like terrorists, threatened with long jail sentences and derided for their political activity.
In the case of Trump, the purpose of the indictments and civil charges is not to enforce the law or weigh his civil liability for a wrong, it is to find a pretext to drag him into court and take his money so he can’t continue his campaign.
For Trump, the attorney/client privilege doesn’t apply, according to a federal judge. In dealing with Trump, the government and prosecutors seem more interested in finding ways to allege obstruction of justice than in finding evidence of a real crime.
During the Mueller investigation, Trump turned over every document sought in the investigation, but the prosecutors suggested that he could have and really wanted to obstruct Justice. Compare to Hillary Clinton destroying evidence under subpoena or Biden’s ghostwriter attempting to delete classified information.
Does anyone really believe that E. Jean Carroll’s case should have been allowed to go to trial? If she had made the exact claims against anyone else, without any details or corroboration, about an event that allegedly happened 30 years earlier, it would have been dismissed. Yet, it was Trump who was barred from presenting evidence, not her. Somehow, a jury of MSNBC junkies found him liable and another jury found that Trump’s denial that something that clearly never happened had happened caused $83 million in damages.
Keep in mind that E. Jean Carroll's original suit was rejected because of the statute of limitations having expired. Working with Carroll, the New York State Legislature passed a law that opened a limited time window to allow her to re-file her lawsuit. This was accomplished by waiving the statute of limitations disqualification in certain circumstances, all of which conveniently fit her case.
In other words, the Democrat super-majority in the New York State legislature retroactively changed the law to allow the case against Trump to proceed and worked with Trump's accuser to make it happen. I'm getting tired of saying it, but Democrats seem happy in destroying the great country of America in order to rule over a banana republic.
I live in the NYC suburbs. I don’t understand why my anti-Trump neighbors aren’t satisfied with making the case for their preferred candidates and voting for Trump’s opponent. Instead, they feel justified. In seeking to prevent millions of Trump supporters from voting for him and using the power of the state to bankrupt him or jail him. They do this in the name of defending democracy.
Stephen, your neighbors are stupid people. Pure democracy is mob rule and right now mob rule favors their limited thinking. When it doesn't, they will be crying about that too.
Wow. I had no idea. I don't generally need to be spoon fed, but do you have any articles that explain this? I'd like to have available in my ammo pouch.
Once you convince yourself that your political opposition is Hitler, you are allowed to do anything. "By any means necessary" applies. Because you simply can not turn over power to Hitler.
The Democrats will do everything to stack the deck before the election. They may even attempt some vote fraud afterward (although their decentralized nature makes American elections very hard to steal.) However, were Donald Trump to win convincingly (300 electoral college votes or up), I think there is still a low-single-digit percentage possibility that the Democrats would attempt to remain in power after Jan 20. Because they actually believe their own PR: Trump is a fascist dictator. If it were close (1 swing-state margin), I suspect that percentage might even rise to double digits. It's still very unlikely, but the idea that one must prepare for a 10%+ probability of failure of American democracy in the next 12 months is appalling.
While I agree the witnesses should be known in a trial, the fact is that there are some nut cases out there and social norms have deteriorated so much that releasing witness names in a controversial trial mean the witnesses have a real chance of being harassed or worse. I'm not sure what you do about it. For example, in the Derek Chauvin trial, how many jurors found Chauvin guilty because they were scared what would happen to them if they didn't?
Even if the chauvin jury was hidden behind a curtain and kept private, they would have feared for there lives if they didn’t find him guilty. The corporate press would have been like bloodhounds trying to find out who they where and would have doxxed all of them. Finding him guilty meant a chance to be a hero of that same idiot press.
I'm afraid there's no real cure or redemption for the reprobate leftist progressive's in our country, and around the world. Not that one wasn't available, they simply chose to reject it. And so, this will be the norm going forward. Of course, some, very few, who will see the light, may course correct, and join the light, most will remain in darkness.
I was kinda wondering about the thought process behind killing all the sheep, mostly democrat voters, to get PDT out of office. When the revolution starts, you will be facing most of the country.
I agree that some of these people on the left are stupid. But these actions by most of the un-stupid left are part of the typical socialist show trials that they, fascist and communist, have used for over a hundred years. The target has already been judged guilty, so it is then just weaving the "testimony" through known and unknown "witnesses" for the consumption of the masses. Remember Jack Ma? He was accused of the egregious transgression of "Disturbing Community Tranquility" by known and unknown Chinese communists and was summarily convicted. He was not executed and have his body parts harvested, as most political prisoners are in China, because of his high profile. President Trump, and almost all of his lawyers and many supporters, are being accused of various crimes and violations in systematic and curated manner, in front of party members in the judiciary and juries, and all will lose, unless the Supremes overrule them. In which case, the targets are damaged financially regardless. (See Mark Steyn's loss to Mann's suit for defamation, for example).
Yes, because it's a narcissistic collective hive mind. "We are the good ones. You are the bad ones." No ambiguity. It's where they feel safe and empowered. *Anything* they have to do to protect that state of mind is permissible, no matter how destructive or bizarre. It is their "higher loyalty". It's how terrorists think and how they ride that slippery slope that goes on to justify blowing everything to smithereens.
Surveys show that republicans generally think democrats are wrong. Democrats think republicans are dangerous…hence the whole “threat to democracy” rationalization to burn everything down to protect it. Add in the mob of bullies who squash dissent, the censors in and out of gov’t who use power and money to shut people up and/or take away their microphone, the “independent arbiters” attack dogs like the aclu, splc and these other alphabet lefty activist mobs posing as legitimate organizations and the gov’t alphabet agencies who are run by political appointees and you have what we are living through now. The fuel that makes this run is left wing gov’t control and money from Soros, Arabella, most of the tech billionaires and union dues.
If you really want to see what these radical lefties vision is for the world read what the WEF and their surrogates have put out over the years. Eating bugs, eliminating farms, only public transportation, socialized healthcare, a cap on air travel, no 1st, 2nd and who knows how many more amendments, a world gov’t that overrules the country and on and on. Many will say these are conspiracy theories but all of these are in black and white, or said out loud and recorded when it’s John Kerry.
"*Anything* they have to do to protect that state of mind is permissible..."
That thread is certainly worth following further. If the behaviour displayed is due to some personality disorder or trait, it raises (for most people) a whole heap of problems and opportunities both.
But: there has been regimes in living memory, which used psychiatric diagnoses to classify those of differing political, moral and/or otherwise differing thought, as insane in order to create justification for imprisonment.
Yeah - not saying you're wrong re: personality trait/mental illness on the part of the woke, just pointing out a danger. Also, people on the opposing team /will/ use such similarities to attack you and to create guilt by association.
Me, I'm way past caring about GBA and such (maybe you are too?), and just go on the offensive when attacked - the idea behind the woke using Reductio ad Hitlerum or whatever other fallacy they utilise is to put one on the back foot (after all, "he who explains himself, blames himself").
But the woke - especially woke americans women - reminds me of Glenn Close boiling a rabbit. Not that there's any dearth of equivalents here, let me tell you. . .
I don't disagree with you. I just wanted to say that I recently read some, let's call them opposing articles, and it looks like they copied and pasted the words that you wrote and applied them to us.
Life on Earth is like living in the middle of a perpetual war of sorts where the various sides are being played against each other for reasons not stated out loud or otherwise shared with the masses.
Just maybe the focus on elections, vaccines, immigration, energy, etc. etc. is not aimed high enough. If the overarching forces that influence/direct the petty infighting are nullified the rest of the problems could quite possibly be resolved.
Chris, I’m glad that you are willing to wade through this partisan, completely un-American Commie mob propaganda sludge. I’m totally serious. I can’t read this stuff for more than about ten seconds before I feel a rash and a brain damage exposure seizure coming on. Maybe I need a MedAlert bracelet. “First Responders: Tanto starts to foam at the mouth and loses his sh*zzle when he sees oppressive dumbasses trying to damage honest, normal people and established American rule of law . Administer alcohol, AR-15s and red meat as needed to re-establish consciousness.”
Commies - learn to speak Canadian. You’re gonna love Moosejaw when OMB takes over in ‘25.
Our votes for President Trump mean nothing. But we are supposed to participate in the rigged election till we are wiped out. I hope Trump should explicitly address this dead serious issue.
This is outrageous! Why are we allowed to know the names of the judge and special prosecutor, let alone the witnesses? Couldn't those poor servants of court be intimidated by MAGA people or even stumble inadvertently onto a radical website like this one, that could corrupt their morals and sensibilities? To preserve our system, all of these people, anyone involved in any way in the case, right down to the bailiffs, must be held in solitary confinement on a high-security military base during the entirety of trial, appearing only on Zoom and only while fully masked--for their own protection as well as preservation of justice!
Agree 100%. And the outcomes need to be secret! Defendants should just vanish. We'd better get going on these secret tribunals, or Trump's authoritarianism is going to win!
Again, I don´t think there´s any real evil intent in all of this Chris Bray writes about. He dates back to a time when young people were expected to LEARN TO THINK. Nowadays they are horrified by thinking. Thinking is too painful.
“Again, I don´t think there´s any real evil intent in all of this…”
Anytime a person finds himself using (or responding to) the same methods Hitler did and for the same reason (agglomeration of power), he needs to rethink his moral structure. Refusal to do so is evil incarnate.
Growth, by definition, is painful. The feeling of learning is called frustration. Whether you're trying to hit a free throw, learn to play the piano, sing, a foreign language, solve math problems--the 'feeling' of new neural connections and the myelin wrapping around new pathways--is akin to cutting a path in a jungle with a rusty, dull machete. It is hard.
Add to this pain trying to undo cognitive dissonance, why do I feel uncomfortable when I think these things...that is unbearable for most people.
Fbomb it. I'll just stick with my tribe and then go satiate myself with ice cream, eat an edible, smoke a bowl, have a glass of wine, rub one out watching pornhub, turn on my fav cable news site, go distract, titillate, or intoxicate myself to feel better.
It depends what you mean by evil intent. There are layers of evilness. When you anesthetize yourself daily you become an automaton and are open to anything. That isn’t a psychopath form of evil but it is a type of evil. Hitler needed Eichmann, for example. Biden requires dull people to stuff phony ballots for $10 a ballot. They are another type of evil. Because they know what they are doing is hurtful. But they don’t care.
My view of Democrat political/moral corruption and its newsworthiness is summed up by this anecdote:

Excellent anecdote.
Maybe, everytime Biden is mentioned, we should reply with
"Well at least he's not molesting children this time"
Plant the seeds and let them grow.
Get one of those "It's been [X] days since Joe Biden last inappropriately touched a minor in public" signs.
Or better yet x number of days since he showered with his granddaughter , that alone should have the man in jail for the rest of his life if we lived in normal times
Lmao!

John, that's a great anecdote.
And those are his BEST qualities!
In other words the perfect democrat candidate.
Trump is sharper at 77 than Biden was at 29, but that’s not much of a bar…
Finding the best age for a POTUS is
difficult – you want them older to be wise, but not so old they lose their sharpness by end of term.
100% 👍
100%
Eh, garbage. I disagree completely. You're engaging in confirmation bias.
In regard to what?
If Biden, I was perfectly content to think he was an idiot and a creep, and have thought so for over 30 years. I didn't need him to be senile to dislike him. I'm just calling that like I see it.
If Trump, you can think what you want. But 8 years is a long time at his age, and it's normal to slow down a bit (shocking he was so high energy 8 years ago).
Might be a good thing?
The senility or Trump slowing down haha. Why not both?
Yup. Maybe just a little "delayed" reaction might do Trump good
Drudge Report is the perfect place to see the lies of the day. A hodge podge of links to the dying corporate media.
My grandmother, who's 97, keeps telling me this ends in civil war.
She's still as sharp as a tack and I've never known her to be wrong on a big issue.
Yeah. Exactly why I left CA for Florida
Five by Five, Art. Clear Thinking, Well Said!
What now? Decline, dystopia, probable collapse of civil society, and a terrible hangover.
I’m hoping for a revolution of able bodied old men like myself.
Where do I sign up?
I suspect it will happen organically when enough grandfathers have to start calling their grandsons Sarah. If we tried to plan it, the first members would be letter agency scum.
LOL!
Chris keep documenting this insanity. Nothing surprises me anymore. All I can do is pity these poor fools who believe the opposite of reality.
Sorry, not sorry, but I no longer have any pity for them.
I hear that. TDS'ers in general also enthusiastically favored locking other humans in camps (if not executing them) just less than 2 years ago for refusing an experimental medical procedure that has proven to be incredibly harmful to a significant number of people.
My body; my choice!! ...er, uh, wait maybe that was for something else...
Those Trumpsters are all hate-filled bigots. OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!!!
bsn
They are the enemy, make no mistake.
Outrageous! Transparency?
How dare you think we live in a free country!
I mean, I did.
two tier justice disproves fair system
You talk about "shared norms"....just wait until 30% of the public can't speak a lick of English.
That's what the INVASION is really about.
Language binds us more than anything.
Without a shared language, there are no shared ideas.
America above all else is an idea; It's our currency; our lifeblood.
Maybe she does speak English, and yet prefers her native language? Just guessing.
When I occasionally speak to her in English she asks her husband to translate.
She had to take the citizenship test in English, so there's that.
They're not citizens.
That, in itself, is very interesting. There have been amnesties since they arrived. Says volumes about their motives and intentions.
Remember when it was expected?....;((
Ha. The Social Security Administration provides translation services in 200 languages to assist people applying for benefits. These include Social Security; Supplemental Security Income; Temporary Assistance for Needy Families; Food and Nutrition Assistance; Housing Assistance; Low-Income Home Energy Assistance; General Assistance: Earned Income Tax Credit.
Did you vote for that? I didn't.
Blacks are increasingly pissed too.
I think enough people are coming to their senses to put an end to this slide.
I'll say it again:
The RINO'S are our biggest enemy.
Yeah, it's just mind boggling..I say...i say....just mind boggling...that sanctuary cities and defund the police don't work!...;)
I think they run second to the MSM, whose members can't be voted out of office.
Well if RINO'S would either stand up to the media or ignore them they wouldn't be the enemy.
But hard to disagree with you.
I'd also add the deep state....because they are both unelected and work in the shadows.
I think he described them as ‘ undocumented Americans ‘. BS
Make the path to learn English the easiest path.
bsn
We feel the same way.
"A naturalization applicant must only demonstrate an ability to read, write, speak, and understand words in ordinary usage."
https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-12-part-e-chapter-2
I don't disagree.
However, the pendulum is unloosed...and I'm calling a spade a spade.
It's not about what they can and can not do; its about what they're willing to do.
Learning the language is respect. I'm sorry I don't want people here who are not willing to pay the entry fee of respect.
I can't conceive of a situation where I would think differently if I were to immigrate.
Agree brother!
I think I saw in comments somewhere that you moved from CA to Florida. West coast FL per chance?
Yup. Sarasota area
25,000 Chinese illegally entered. 3 years ago around 20.
We're just diversifying our thuggery!
None of this is justice.
Cuz...HITLER.
Stephen, your neighbors are stupid people. Pure democracy is mob rule and right now mob rule favors their limited thinking. When it doesn't, they will be crying about that too.
Wow. I had no idea. I don't generally need to be spoon fed, but do you have any articles that explain this? I'd like to have available in my ammo pouch.
bsn
If it doesn’t fail, it won’t be for the Dems lack of trying …
"They may even attempt some vote fraud afterward (although their decentralized nature makes American elections very hard to steal.)"
Now that right there, is funny.
Nailed that!
This is exactly why you can't have a two-tiered justice system.
It invites mob rule. Once a mob gets what they want they behave just as terrorists.
Bingo!
“Even if the chauvin jury was hidden behind a curtain and kept private…”
💯 There would be a court staffer (like the Clerk in the Murdaugh trial) who would interfere with the jury, either to advocate or to threaten.
All of them.
What Ryan said.
We can encourage them to get the latest boosters?
I was kinda wondering about the thought process behind killing all the sheep, mostly democrat voters, to get PDT out of office. When the revolution starts, you will be facing most of the country.
I was thinking of the step ahead. If things go hot, the sheep will not be taking the side of the Republic at hand…
Well played!
bsn
It is called lawfare for a reason.
Danny Huckabee
It looks very much like a deranged ex-wife/craycray girlfriend stalking and harassing her former husband/boyfriend.
And the bunny in the pot is you, the normal americans.
Tread carefully, when following that thread.
Like pushing for anyone that refused an experimental injection to be taken away to camps or even executed? Who's on first?
Perfectly stated!
Wait a second, you mean I'm not in a slowly warming Jacuzzi? I guess that explains why they keep putting a lid over top of Me.
You're funny today bro!
Haters be hatin’ … thus the wokeness. THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF KNOWLEDGE;
FOOLS DESPISE WISDOM AND INSTRUCTION.
Vote Bigly Orange. Trump 2024.
Our votes for President Trump mean nothing. But we are supposed to participate in the rigged election till we are wiped out. I hope Trump should explicitly address this dead serious issue.
投票给橙色人坏.
I'm still trying to figure out how 25 people, whose names have not yet been revealed, are already "receiving threats online."
Exactly. It's the standard disclaimer now, like "danger, contents of this cup are HOT"
“You better say what we want you to say, because if you don’t…”. Those are the threats. From the left.
Excellent point.
