I'm sick of watching asshats and cockwombles refer to Churchill.

Churchill rallied ENGLAND because, people actually saw, you know, the threat from the most intense bombing campaigns in history through the Blitzkrieg. Real bombs were falling on their homes.

This guy is trying to equate abstract threats with the real attacks of the Luftwaffe.

London Calling and Keep Calm and Carry On were iconic calls to be courageous, resist and defend, AND maintain NORMALCY.

These psychopaths are requesting the opposite. They want submission, cowardice and 'new normals'.

We're at the point now where the only appropriate response to these troublemakers is: Go fuck yourself.

I wonder if Mittens has read any Churchill past bumper sticker quotes?

Your understanding of Churchill is more than a bit off. Hitler wanted to strike a separate peace with Great Britain and leave the British Empire relatively intact. Hitler attacked Germany until Germany responded.

Of course, the Nazis invaded the Continent before that, but they did not attack Britain until the British attacked them.

The British and French played their own parts in staring two wars. No question. Still doesn't detract from the overall point in the context of what Mitt said. The Germans bombed London. Churchill (who had many faults) rallied the nation. So goes the history. Mitt is conflating a perceived threat with the reality of what London experienced.

Covid, Climate change and Ukraine - all being conflated into one big perceived threat. And they're using historical figures to sell their con job.

Once again, Milton Mayer nails it:

Not pedantry or even any correction but affirmation: There’s no accurate portrayal of the real Ancien Regime that comes close to our elites, nor Rome nor anything- but ...movies and television. Our elites are acting out various delusional videos that have no basis in history- they are Pioneers.

The closest movie to our elites is the Movie Caligula- which was far worse than the actual man.

The real Caligula never mind poor Tiberius (a lonely bookworm, none of that island of perverse delight nonsense was true ) don’t approach the depravity of the 1970s (when pornographer Guccione made the movie).

Even the Roman Orgies were mostly FOOD and gorging oneself, and the Saturnalia was mostly a fertility exercise combined with a sort of leveling of class barriers (you got to bang the Rich girl or at least make a pass at her, not that different than Italian or Spanish men today).

But its worse; none of them are on the same script, and there’s no Director.

Very well put. I remain utterly flabbergasted at the insularity and self-delusion of our governing class. Whether it be creepy agendas, rancid ideologies or preening narcissism, they're driving us over a cliff. Here in the Netherlands we're in the throes of a crisis largely if not entirely of our own making, as is the rest of Europe, to one degree or another, except perhaps Hungary.

As usual, Mittens has his gentlemanly head up his gentlemanly butt - he knows nothing, he is completely removed from the working man and woman, and he is a superficial dilettante. Oh yeah, and he thinks he's the smartest yet most humble man in the room. Haha, joke's on him.

YES. I was hoping you’d take this one. I even went back to find it to get the link to post on your last article, then re-read part of it when I found it and got lost in what can only be described as a haze of I seriously-don’t-know-where-I-am and completely forgot what I was doing. As if I was as senile as you-know-who. Perhaps it’s now contagious. You forgot to mention how he describes Biden as a good man. Who just can’t seem to cut through (everyone else’s) deceit.

I saw that he said that, and I just couldn't. "They gonna put y'all back in cages." And then he's still giving Biden the full tongue. It's just repulsive.
