The California Senate has just passed AB 957, a bill that will require judges to consider a parent’s affirmation of a child’s gender identity when making decisions, during divorce proceedings, about child custody. The bill now returns to the Assembly for a vote on the current amended form of the thing, but the lower house already passed an earlier version of this bill by a comfortable margin. Unless Gavin Newsom vetoes it — you can guess for yourself how likely that is — it will become law. As a parent, you must affirm your transgender child’s gender identity, or you lose your child.
But parents’ rights activist Jonathan Zachreson catches the problem:
California’s attorney general is currently in court — as I’ve just been telling you — to argue that parents must not know their child’s gender identity, because trans children are in danger if their parents know:
The attorney general was in court today — the very same day the Senate passed AB 957 — to argue that schools must hide a student’s gender identity from parents. The judge agreed, and blocked a school district policy requiring parental notification regarding a student’s transgender identity. So this is now the logic of California family policy:
As a parent, you must affirm your child’s gender identity, or you will lose custody of your child.
Also, as a parent, you must not know your child’s gender identity, which is extremely secret.
Our only real hope, at this point, is for a giant sinkhole to swallow Sacramento, and soon.
Homeschool if possible and, if not, think about moving. I live in a deep blue State and I've known multiple parents where the child gets caught up in the trans propaganda. Everybody thinks it won't happen to their child. Don't be so sure.
The trick is for the powerful to always have a means of invalidating and threatening you. Double binds are perfect for that.
