California Goes Full Jonestown
The California Senate passed SB 866 today. The bill would allow children, down to the age of 12, to get a Covid-19 vaccine without parental knowledge or consent. The author of the bill says it’s not that big a deal:
See, your 12 year-old can already get birth control or an abortion in California without your knowledge or consent, so what’s the big deal?
The bill advances now to the Assembly. Vote counts and lists are not yet available on the state’s legislation tracking website, and my senator’s office hasn’t answered my emailed question about his vote.
