I just had emergency surgery for a detached and torn retina yesterday and now I have a gas bubble in my eye that I have to keep in a specific location by keeping my head tilted to the left. Is that a good enough excuse not to watch this 🤮🐮💩? Oh, and I don’t have cable.
Wasn’t from the vaccines, at least! I had all the risk factors (apparently) - over 50 (I’m 60), history of severe myopia (my eyeglass prescription was -8.0/+2.0 diopters), cataract surgery in 2022, and this eye had amblyopia since I was 5 from a playground injury. Just happened spontaneously, at some point I realized I couldn’t see anything on the inside edge of my right eye. Fortunately it’s the weaker eye and my left eye dominates. Had a pneumatic retinopexy procedure, won’t gross you out with the details. I got back today for a checkup, but I think and I’m praying that it worked. Thanks for the good wishes, all. I love this community!
Went in yesterday. Tested at 20/60 in the right eye after it being 0/0 (couldn’t see anything other than light) less than 48 hours earlier. The surgical procedure was gnarly but it seems to have worked. 🙏🏻. Vision should continue to improve over the next few weeks. Thanks for asking!

Actually, the head tilted to the left is the REQUIRED viewing angle. All other angles cause nausea.
