I donтАЩt dispute anyoneтАЩs right to freely express their opinion (at least that used to be a right in this country). I just donтАЩt think we should equate journalism today with promoting or defending the first amendment. IMHO what it is about today is shutting down and/or denying that right to most people.
Which is a betrayal of the ethics of journalism. Which is why IтАЩm suggesting we unmask these people. TheyтАЩre not journalists and arenтАЩt trying to be. They arenтАЩt paid to be. TheyтАЩd be fired for doing actual journalism.
What passes as journalism in America today has nothing to do with the first amendment.
That is as may be. But it is protected just the same. You're not required to like it and neither am I. What would be your alternative?
