Have been gone for a few days, on a backpacking trip with an old friend that turned into a solo trip after the aforementioned friend fell downhill with a heavy pack on a steep trail and we learned what ER nurses call a foosh. So I walked over a bunch of this:
Looks like we missed out on something, not you. I used to backpack on the Appalachian trail and we once had a guy fall and break his ankle. Cell phones were new and I had just paid $500 for one for business. They took all night to charge and only lasted for a couple hours. I hiked out to get a signal, called 911, who miraculously answered. Four guys volunteered to help (it was past midnight so I was surprised.) They brought this stretcher type thing that had a wheel in the middle. I hiked down to where he was and then hiked out with him with the stretcher. Sometimes the trail was so narrow, the only thing that kept me from falling down the hillside was holding on to the stretcher. Talk about a workout! Couldn't do it today if my life depended on it. Hope your friend is ok.
Wow, it all looks so great - mud, cactus, everything! Makes me long to backpack again soon. Too bad about your friend's foosh, though. (I thought at first that was shorthand for foolish sh**... my apologies! FOOSH happens.)
Love how the universe conspired to gift you outside-with-only-my-thoughts-(and awesome mud)-for-company time. So refreshing for a soul so recently on the grief train. 🙏🏽
Nah. Go back, nothing good to see here!
It ended. I can't tell you how, though.

My girlfriend and I are getting serious. Does that count? 😎
Everything is fine. Everything is just fine. Fine.
The covid emergency is ending within a couple weeks if Biden lives up to his signaled intent not to veto H. J. Res. 7.
Wow, I had no idea California actually allowed its people to start their own fires. Who knew? (or were you being a scofflaw?)
You are wise to take time for quiet 😊

I didn't know Go Pro made an ass cam , kinda like those back up cameras for cars & trucks. Or, your legs & feet are no longer attached correctly? 😁
You came back. Why? Inquiring minds want to know.
While you were out in reality, the theater continued it's regularly scheduled performances.
Nope- but thanks for sharing the awesome pics.

Nothing much going on. Quiet and uneventful. Great pics and thanks for sharing. Hope your buddy is ok.
