Doctor: You have cancer. We'll start treatments. Then you can die like an animal in our state-of-the-art killing factory. filled with shit head hospital administrators and pharma reps."
Me: Pass. I'll die with dignity and with comfort surrounded by family, friends and My Pillows.
Hunter-gatherers have very low rates of either cancer or heart disease.
Adjusted for infant mortality, hunter gatherer life expectancy is about 70 years, whereas in 2021 United States, life expectancy was about 76.6. Proper dental care alone can add several years to life expectancy, so you could make the argument that, with the exception of neonatal care and dentistry, modern technology has inflicted a net loss of lifespan.
The picture looks even worse when comparing healthspan. Hunter-gatherers remain vigorous and productive until the end of their lives, whereas humans in the developed world have a nasty habit of circling the drain for their last several years, if not decades.
Ancestral approaches to health are therefore vastly more effective than any amount of drugs and surgery, which is why we so rarely read about them, and why they are never studied or acknowledged by "healthcare professionals".
It all comes down to enforcement: remove the element of enforcement and the state is impotent. When someone violates your God-given rights, that person should pay the price - "rules" be damned. For two years I watched formerly decent police officers enforce draconian lockdowns with extreme brutality. I watched small business owners thrown in jail and have all their assets seized for the "crime" of opening their businesses. Take a lesson from the Dutch Farmers: We're not going to tolerate this any longer. The next time - and there will be a next time - just try and stop me. Just try.
What Max didn't consider is that those running the show would be incompetent, inept and corrupt. Which is why change has never been achieved without violence - regardless of who's committing it.
Yes but let's *not* learn from the Dutch farmers or the Canadian or US truckers. Brave but dumb. And in this fight dumb loses. This strategy of blockading things w valuable assets that the Regime is all too happy to confiscate and sell is dumb and ineffective ultimately. Yes, it gets some PR so points there maaaaybe (although the Regime gets to paint the farmers as lawless thugs impeding innocent civilian life etc...).
If we truly and honestly wanted to bring down the Regime it requires, literally, *nothing*. We. Do. Nothing. We refuse to work for these $^#^@!, we dont haul their food, fuel, supplies, parts, cars etc.. We don't repair $^#^! for them. We don't unclog their toilets, we dont unload their ships or trucks, we dont fly their planes, we don't coach their kids. Nothing. NOTHING. Call it what you like..national strike, sick out, slow downs and stoppages, sabotage.
The point is that no Regime can survive for even a week if we-- you and me and all the little worker bees they despise-- refuse to slave for them any longer. The more people who buy in the sooner they collapse.
Will it hurt? Hell yes. But the Regime can't confiscate the tractor parked in the barn, the truck parked in the driveway, the worker bee that is "out sick w [fill in blank]" for the 10th time. They cant force us to work. And all of us have the power to help each other to get through the tough times when we're fired or laid off or without stocked grocery stores.
These halfway measures by the farmers and truckers, however sincere and noble, is uselss. If you're going to break the law by blocking stuff then go all the way, why don't you? You've criminalized yourself so what's the point of being peaceful about it? You just make it easy for the Regime to bring in their hired security goons, beat you, arrest you, and confiscate everything while consigning you to a gulag like the poor J6ers.
The only alternative to a national strike is to wait for economic collapse and the inevitable Regime crackdown to light the fuse, but in my book the strike ought to be tried first. Better to live through 1989 East Germany and Poland than 1930s Spain.
Agree 1000% Didn't have the time to go as deep as you did, but the point was, ZERO tolerance from this point on - in any form that suits you. Certainly your idea makes more sense, but I fear you couldn't get enough of the peasants to participate to make it effective.
No. Because when it comes down to FREEDOM, the Normies are clueless. They expect everyone else to fight. Half of them don’t even know what’s going on! Those are the people that need to wake up!
It's not that the normies are cluess, but that they actually WANT to be enslaved, to have no freedoms or rights. That's the ultimate problem we're up against.
Read Mattias Desmet's book: The Psychology of Totalitarianism (recently published in English translation.)
Desmet presents a profound and cogent explanation of how humanity has arrived at the state of totalitarianism we find ourselves in (or almost completely in, depending on your level of despair, I suppose.) To my surprise, he's hopeful that humanity is not doomed to stay enslaved forever. He offers concrete ideas for what we need to do to regain our freedom, autonomy, and humanity. I'm not as sanguine as he is about our future, but I appreciate his optimism. I agree we need to act, rather that give up and simply accept the tyranny which is being imposed in ever greater intensities upon us.
Oh yes! He’s fantastic! I’ve seen him in a few interviews. I see these people hypnotized everyday. Just today, two people sitting at a table in a restaurant with masks on, then later at the market. IT’S BEEN OVER TWO YEARS…there’s no excuse anymore. Now I get resentful and angry. All of us are paying for their fear and mass formation.
Well, yes. Your point about people sitting it out is valid and a separate one. What we are talking about here is a movement or revolt that is happening now, and one gaining support from at least some part of the population including truckers, shipping companies etc... So the question is straregic: how best to use the existing momentum? My argument is simply to use it towards as full a shutdown/ strike/ stoppage etc as possible and avoid actions that put assets like tractors in the hands of the Regime and arrest people.
As for your point about people sitting it out, two reaponses. 1. That's always been the case. The American Revolution was led and fought by something like 30% of the colonists. That's an awful lot of people sitting out. Change almost always seems to occur by the energy of a relatively few. 2. Psychology. People sit out because they fear failure, loss, etc... until they see a side is winning and then, finally, they jump on the bandwagon and pretend they've always been patriots. It's the whole preference cascade. There is an enormous reservoir of people who hate what's going on and want change, but are waiting for the sign that it's safe to join in. (Partly how mobs form and become so dangerous-- the normal inhibitions are dropped when people see they can burn and loot without consequence). 3. People wont join unless until they see they have more to lose by not joining , which tells me that things have to get worse before people are forced out of their comfy life and will join the revolt.
If you saw what happened in France yesterday, the police refusing to stop the protest, actually dropping their shields and joining. THAT will start the momentum you speak of. We've been saying this for two years; LE must refuse to enforce these illegal and unconstitutional "rules". It should start at the community level - tell your local sheriff to choose sides now because once it starts there's no going back.
Great point! (Which is undoubtedly why Justine Castreau brought in the private security goons dressed up as LEO to abuse and arrest the Canadian protesters in Ottawa. It seems from some videos in Netherlands that the Regime there is using the same tactics).
What will be extremely interesting is what happens if the genuine local LE side w the people and then have to confront the hired thugs. That could get spicy in a hurry.
Exactly my point about "choosing sides" - this is undoubtedly going to go kinetic. Everywhere I go it's being discuss: the next time, we shoot back. LE needs to know that they'll be the ones with the red dots on their foreheads.
That's very true. I keep thinking someone would step up, but how would we know if someone did? They spy on everything, would know, and would "eliminate" the situation. We'd never know.
Hospital administrators are not your friends. With a few notable exceptions, these are some of the least talented, petty, greedy, duplicitous people I’ve ever met. These are the people who “manage” things. In reality a hospital is basically a hotel with some medical services attached to it. Running a hospital is not rocket surgery. If it was complicated, these bozos wouldn’t be doing it.
With increased corporate consolidation in healthcare, you can safely assume that you are dealing with corporate drones when you enter the hospital arena these days. Does American Airliines or Berkshire Hathaway or the Disney corp. love you? No they don’t. And your hospital corp. doesn’t love you either.
In the medical/hospital world most of the administrative work falls into two categories: ostensibly following the ever metastasizing government cookbook to avoid getting in trouble with the USG, and spending as much effort as people this weaselly can spend getting as much money out of patients and insurers as possible. They financially, legally and administratively screw the doctors, the hospital employees, and the patients. They also cheat the government, but that’s another story., They have zero incentive to think original thoughts and be compassionate. They will talk about kindness. They will market it. They will claim that is their whole raisin d’etre. But in reality “kindness”, “quality” and “patient centered care” are just proxy advertising buzzwords for “make money”. And like all administrative desk jockey passive aggressive personality types, hospital administrators enjoyed the dictatorial control provided by the pandemic excuse.
Most people don’t realize that your average relatively busy U.S. 250 bed hospital is a billion dollar plus revenue collected per annum operation. All hospitals that accept Medicare reimbursement must post their revenues publicly and this data is available online. So there is enormous money at stake. With COVID they got a lot of extra payments for COVID diagnosed patients and were thus incentivized to follow federal guidelines and be good Germans. So what do you think they did? Whatever made them more money, and whatever they perceived as being politically in their best, selfish interest. So they fired unvaccinated staff, even though they were short staffed, they let people die alone, and they made bank. Best practices based on actual science didn’t enter into it. And why should it when the entire federal health bureaucracy has been making shit up as COVID goes along? The entire mismanagement of the pandemic has been a series of lies, blunders, cruelty- a true crime against humanity and one of the most shameful episodes in the history of organized Medicine.
Yes and the GOP as usual was the Judas Goat on this by passing the unfunded mandate that ERs must treat patients who walk in...hence $80 dollars for Aspirin to the insured or those who admit to having assets .
I’m actually one of the people interviewed in the AP article linked here that deals with isolation of the elderly. I’d like to believe the Florida law would make a difference, but in reality it shares a lot of verbiage with an utterly ineffective CMS memo that was issued in September 2020. That memo also made provision for “compassionate care” visitation for patients who were visibly declining. My mom lost 20 lbs in the first months of lockdown (she was 5 ft 8 and got down to ~95 lbs), and her vocabulary dwindled to two words. Even with that- and even with me engaging an attorney, contacting any politician who would listen (which were hard to find!), and escalating to the state long-term care ombudsman, they still wouldn’t let me in to see her. I finally was able to get her out in October of 2020, but what horrific damage had already been done! If I had had any doubts about the legitimacy of early Covid mitigation efforts, that experience solidified them for a lifetime. And- mind you- this is after Covid had already swept through her nursing home earlier that summer, infecting over half of the resident population. I still can’t believe that these policies were not only allowed to happen, but ENCOURAGED and ENFORCED on a large scale! And I was routinely shamed- both on social media and in real life- for pointing out the inhumanity of that approach. Definitely a watershed event in my life.
But Chris, *The Science* says that during a COVID pandemic, it is very dangerous for people to be at a loved one's bedside as that person dies, and that billions of innocent people could die if that's allowed. Of course, if there's a large protest for racial justice downtown during that same pandemic, The Science in its divine wisdom also says that you not only may, you MUST, join the protest IN PERSON, because silence is violence and kills trillions of BIPOC every year. The pandemic has turned Health Care into a killing machine, on an industrial scale. But of course, it was not the virus that did that. So what sort of people turn Health Care into an industrial killing machine, and defend it?
These people are disgusting. One of the biggest tragedies of the scam that was the covid pandemic was the thousands and thousands that died alone in these places. Here in Florida, our lawmakers saw the inhumane brutality of this and took it out of the hands of faceless administrators and uncaring beuracrats and left it up to the people to decide. In california, a place that has completely gone off the rails, they decided beuracrats and administrators always know best about these issues, and there enlightened selves will determine if grandma dies alone or not. These type of people are soul less, inhumane and power hungry monsters.
FYI Chris, I just did a big essay "Swarms of Spontaneity Smotherers" over at PostModernConservative substack, an essay that essentially follows your lead in "Tedium Instrumentalized," in riffing off the Ginerva Davis essay on Standford's destruction of social life. Keep up the excellent work.
Eh, I dunno, I think the Florida law has "exceptions" too...
" (2) If circumstances require a provider to restrict public
71 access to the facility due to health or safety concerns, the
72 provider must develop alternate visitation protocols that allow
73 visitation to the greatest extent possible while maintaining
74 client health and safety. "
So they just say that the presence of COVID "requires" such restrictions, and the "alternative visitation protocols" are Zoom visits, right?
" (4) To ensure the health and safety of clients, a provider
93 may require visitors to adhere to infection control protocols,
94 including passing a health screening and wearing personal
95 protective equipment while on the premises of the provider’s
96 facility. A provider may refuse visitation if the visitor does
97 not pass a health screening or refuses to comply with the
98 provider’s infection control protocols. "
Don't see anything here specifying that mask or vax mandates are not allowed. What's to stop them saying that their "health screening" requires an updated booster? Or that their "infection control protocol" requires that visits be limited to 10 minutes, and only 1 person in the room at a time, etc.?
Thank God some one writes about such things. It's disgusting that this angle is not top and center. What is wrong with a people who can't see what is obvious?
I should add, I know a friend who passed from cancer very suddenly, young at 40, right when the scamdemic started. Surely he died alone. I'm pissed about that.
For me, this denial of visitation is the worst of the worst that the government did. It is unforgivable!
The government is not legitimate, if it was, 25% of poll respondents wouldn't say it needs to be met with armed resistance. That's approaching American Revolution levels.
I hear you. When I think that “it didn’t have to be this way” with respect to our lost culture, it’s hard not to get depressed about what could have been…
I would rather die at home than be hospitalized for any reason.
I'm almost certain any hospitalization would lead to my death, one way or another. At least at home I'd have a fighting chance.
I'm fucked if I get cancer or something. But then, that's been true for most of human history.
Same here. '
Doctor: You have cancer. We'll start treatments. Then you can die like an animal in our state-of-the-art killing factory. filled with shit head hospital administrators and pharma reps."
Me: Pass. I'll die with dignity and with comfort surrounded by family, friends and My Pillows.

absolutely correct

The distilled definition of a "State" is the monopoly of violence.
Same definition for "revolution"
Max Weber isn't one of the Founding Fathers.
And giving them ...unconstitutionally by the way ...the monopoly of violence....
well, we can see.
