I don’t know how to not laugh at this, and at them.
Remember that Donald Trump is LITERALLY Adolf Hitler, and the prospect of his return to the White House is INDESCRIBABLY TERRIFYING, and he’s a figure of the most extraordinary malevolence and cruelty and power, dangerous vicious POWER, and if he wins all the women have to turn into handmaids and we’ll never have elections anymore because we’ll just instantly turn into a dictatorship. I just went searching for a particular campaign-season image, but the whole “results” page is just too rich:
And of course:
Years of build-up to assign a meaning to Donald Trump: power, danger, menace, ambition, ego, cruelty. The triumph of the will!
Also, now, this world-historically terrifying figure who carries nearly infinite power and danger in his being is…just a puppet.
Be terrified by him, he’s Hitler, he has vast power and the soul of the devil himself, he’s meaningless and weak and impotent. Click this link to play the video, but I can’t remember if this is the Riddler or the Penguin:
He’s terrifyingly Y and terrifyingly Not-Y, all one thing and all its complete opposite. He’s the all-powerful human devil, and he’s a nobody who’s just some rich guy’s puppet. Be scared of his destructive power / he’s impotent and small.
They’re negating their own years-long rhetorical campaign, just switching it off and punching up its complete opposite. How on earth did people like this become persistently embedded in positions of authority? They’re startlingly bad at it, comically inept and incoherent. I would be authentically fascinated to hear an inside description of their plan and their intent. How is this supposed to work as a message? He’s impotent puppet Hitler?
I’m shrugging. The awfulness, the implosion, the incoherence. Here is my complete analysis after careful study:
Uh what
It’s the worst television show on the dial. Maybe January makes the whole thing somewhat less pathetic?
The Democrats are not alone when they act like idiots, the Republicans are right there with them. If Speaker Johnson had started budget talks in September when he promised no CR he might defend his actions. When a BIPARTISAN CR has to be killed by public reaction and the DOGE brothers, all in congress are at fault. I don't remember anyone trying to get this done earlier, do you?
That whole hearing was amazing. Democrats were like "THE NAZIS BROKE THEIR WORD AND TOOK OUT ALL THE STUFF WE LIKED."
