Kudos to the Sky News guy. 👏👏👏 Best cornering of a globalist puppet and best demonstration of the arrogant complete disinterest that globalist puppets have for humans that I've seen since Rebel News chased down pfizer's CEO outside Davos in 2023.
Remember, four years ago, she lost out to Kammie as Biden's vice presidential selection. She fulfilled Clyburn's demand that the nominee be a black woman, sort of.
I want to put in a word for Harris. She got through the official certification of Trump with aplomb and class. It was a good thing to see.
There are more than 75,000 homeless in LA county, and that $900 million was squandered by the more than a dozen funded NGOs there without any apparent improvement. Plus the county's own homeless agency. Those NGOs need audited. The entire thing needs audited. For that money, each of the homeless could have been given a home with a clear title.
Where to begin? The once beautiful state of CA was a disaster even before these horrific fires. Add in some DEI total incompetence, greed, and graft and voila! This is so sad; my heart goes out to the people who have lost their homes and perhaps the insurance on them as well. But I have to ask if this isn't a terrible metaphor for the state of our country on so many levels.
I saw a graph showing how multiple departments had their budgets cut with the fire Being first or second with the most cuts. All that money was transferred to the police department.
I don’t know about crime in Los Angeles, the entire state is prone to wildfires due to climate and native vegetation. Much more than the rest of the country with the deaths and destruction greater than any increase in crime.
But fires like this happen every decade often in isolated areas while crime gets the front page every day. So the fire department gets the cut while the police gets the money when it often should be the other way around.
China didn’t need to nuke us, they just had to be patient, knowing that our own government’s incompetence would eventually allow our cities to burn to their foundations.
Hollywood Hills on fire now... Independent location. This reminds me of the "fire intifada" (if I remember the name correctly - Haifa and a few other places were set ablaze, IIRC) a few years ago in Israel (edit: November 2016). It really is only a matter of time before there is some sort of October 7th attack.
I feel like I know you Chris. Same with Peachy. Like I imagine we'd probably have laughed and laughed and laughed if we sat next to each other in school, or served together in the military.
Probably something evolutionary--or adaptive at least--about the feelings of deep kinship I feel when that rare someone fully articulates how I see the world EXACTLY.
Reading your 'war dispatches' today has been a roller coaster of emotions, but now I am just so deeply sad and hurt and afraid and so so so disappointed that my anger was washed away. It will come back.
Palestine. Maui. The rain floods of last year in Cali. Hurricane Helene.
We are in a COMPETENCY CRISIS. It has been brewing for decades. You are all in my thoughts and prayers--and since this weird evolutionary adaptation that makes me feel like your bestie--I truly mean it.
And I know I'm one of 10,000s who read your work. Be safe my friend.
Every single disaster of the last four years, particularly the unmitigated ones made worse by total incompetence, have happened under the unwatchful eye of "progressive leftist" policy. It's wild.
With Apocalyptic Weather attacking us on a weekly basis (How could you forget about Asheville, NC?), it is still nearly impossible to get to mountainous North Caroline from Tennessee. A package my wife ordered from Asheville is being shipped to us in the Smokies via Indianapolis.
I recall Pat Robertson's warning many years ago that God's judgment on evil governments always comes. It doesn't seem like the billionaires in Hollywood and Maui would intentionally destroy their homes. This may be the 21st Century's method of renovating cities that no longer function.
Stick built and OSB, probably. If any walls survive, they're probably ICF or concrete block. There's plenty of fuel for a hot, hot fire - a steady wind coming up an arroyo or canyon, plus mesquite and eucalyptus - and throw in a few oil palms, and you wind up with Mother Nature's Blowtorch...
This is what happens when silly, unserious, and incompetent people are allowed to be in charge. If you allowed your toddler to steer the car, you wouldn’t get mad at the toddler for crashing it. That’s inevitable.
The idiot who let the toddler steer (all the democrats who thought an unserious person should be in charge because they’re a particular skin colour and sex, for example) are to blame.
This is a land-grab-controlled-take-over scenario. There is no help in sight and it appears they are just going to let the fire burn itself out, which means the entire basin could eventually go up in smoke!
Palisades is/was a disaster and it was also a part of the 2028 Olympics plan ...
Altadena being destroyed without a fight probably for a 15-minute city plan ...
If we don't wake up to the fact that our "betters" have a well coordinated and orchestrated plan to destroy us, we cannot survive. This is not a wild fire out of control. This is corruption, power, evil, and a brainwashed culture out of control
Bonnie, why would The Blobbers want to destroy Los Angeles? My interest in a possible conspiracy hypothesis varies in equal proportion to its rationality.
As an example, I have always found the contention that the C.I.A. killed JFK absurd inasmuch as the Kennedys were giving the C.I.A. everything they wanted; at the same hour JFK was being murdered in Dallas, a C.I.A. officer in Paris was meeting with someone the C.I.A. thought might be willing to assassinate Castro for us. ( Operation Mongoose, the responsibility of Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy )
All of the evidence points at whom it has always pointed, Lee Harvey Oswald, and as a lone assassin. However, a conspiracy hypothesis in regard to the Kennedy assassination which does make some sense is that the Cubans, knowing that the Kennedys were trying to kill Castro, got Kennedy first. Lyndon Johnson, who was born to be paranoid, believed it. ( For the rest of his life he told friends in private, "Kennedy tried to get Castro, but Castro got Kennedy first." )
But do you see my point? At least the second idea makes some sense, and I would be interested in any carefully argued book which makes such a case, while I would roll my eyeballs at anyone who suggested I read a book which argues the first example.
With that in mind, I ask again, why would The Blob want to destroy Los Angeles?
There's an old aphorism which makes sense: never attribute to malice that which can be attributed to stupidity.
Between 1972 and 2003, I drove from Eagle Rock to Altadena, parking on Roosevelt Ave just south of Midwich and Altadena Dr in order to pass through a narrow gateless gate at Eaton Canyon Trailhead. Then, often with my great shepherd/golden mix, across the wash, up a small, steep canyon trail to Mt. Wilson Toll Road and Henniger Flats. I knew names, families, careers, hobbies, vacations of home owners I met on Roosevelt and others met on the trail. The relief I felt on entering that gate and crossing the wash was always immediate and freeing, yet never anticipated. It was my favorite place in L.A. It's hard to envision how this spot, near Midwich at Altadena Dr., just became the ignition point of so devastating a fire. In 1993, a Chinese refugee from the Tien Amin Square massacre accidentally started a fire nearby but across the wash on a low slope of hillside. It burned half way up to Henniger and laterally along the range for several miles. Nothing like this fire (igneous turbo). One person died trying to save his home. The land retained its scars for several years.
Old geezers hearts don't break, they crumble. And now for so many who held so much dear to them near the entrance to my old chaparral Eden, and its environs - sapiens and creatures, alike.
Firefighters would be there, but they have no water to use, so there isn't much of a point. I'm sure it's really messing with them. Criminal mismanagement from LA mayor and Cali uniparty
Live trees are less likely to burn than dry lumber. We had a fire at a state park about 10 miles from where I live here in TX. The cedars and junipers burned like gasoline. The oaks and elms and some others had less damage. Some have even survived while the surrounding brush burned.
I’ve thrown green leaves and fresh branches in a fire and, while it takes some time, the leaves will eventually burn and the bark will char. I don’t see any of that on the tree in front of the store. Just seems very odd there is no damage to it.
Almost all water systems run on electric pumps. The fires usually lead to the power being cut off as poles burn in the very early stages. This is actually a very common problem.
in the Midwest, city water systems often use tower containers for gravity feed pressure.
but we don't typically store reservoir quantities of water up there either, a fair bit is pumped up from aquifiers or from the ground next to nearby rivers. and those pumps use electricity since wind powered water pumps went out of vogue when the power grid was installed.
The government of California, and Los Angeles, my beautiful home town, have failed to complete the most fundamental of their responsibilities: to ensure that people are secure in their homes. The people have been abandoned. No water. The fire department led by a clown. This is utter incompetence. Utter failure. Deliberate neglect. I can't imagine how you must feel Chris, experiencing this first hand. It makes me weep.
I'm so sorry. Do you live nearby to help out? She'll need help. Food. Shelter. A place to land while she processes the whole thing. Lots of love and support the next few years. Insurance, the county, dealing with the land. It's so much. Again, I'm so sorry.
Otherworldly footage of the idiot mayor of Los Angeles, struck dumb by simple questions:

Not a word. She can't speak at all without a script.

^^This!^^
Her silence is damning her far more than any meaningless bs she could utter.
I’d be very surprised if she continues in office. At least I pray not. And maybe the whole sordid debacle spells the end of Newsome too.
Praying for all caught up in this tragedy.
The thing is, people like that woman have no shame.
No shame whatsoever.
Possibly relieved that she didn't get elected.
🎯
Who? 🤣 She’d executed the controlled demolition of the “Dem” party exceptionally well, as instructed. There was no need for further histrionics.
I'm speechless! (Pun extremely intended)
Wasn’t she on Sleepy Joes short list for VP? Seems like a highly qualified candidate.
She is mute because any chance of higher office is over for her. Biden should pardon her on his way out.
The Los Angeles fire chief warned, last month, that budget cuts had made it very difficult for the LAFD to prepare for and respond to wildfires.
https://x.com/RealSaavedra/status/1877184214296068346
Well $1.3 bil was allocated for homelessness and only half was used. only $867 mil LAFD.
That's because someone(s) are skimming the funds...or just incompetent...or both.
The state audited $24 billion in homelessness spending and reported officially that it beats the shit out of them where it went.
yes but did they check the back pockets?
Are the NGOs funded, as so many are, by Soros?
Where to begin? The once beautiful state of CA was a disaster even before these horrific fires. Add in some DEI total incompetence, greed, and graft and voila! This is so sad; my heart goes out to the people who have lost their homes and perhaps the insurance on them as well. A perfect metaphor for Democrat rule.
I saw a graph showing how multiple departments had their budgets cut with the fire Being first or second with the most cuts. All that money was transferred to the police department.

Buy they were pretty fast putting this one out. And surrounded the hill with equipment.
Thanking God you are still safe.
China didn’t need to nuke us, they just had to be patient, knowing that our own government’s incompetence would eventually allow our cities to burn to their foundations.
They just need a few guys with gasoline and lighters to destroy us, apparently
That could actually be true.
They're playing the long game. The longer they wait the easier it gets.
Thank you for the heartbreaking report, Chris.
> We’ll be working to understand the full scope of these fires for a while.
Indeed, we will.
I, for one, have come to conclude that our government agencies have fallen to parasites who have nothing but contempt for us.

Bingo

"We are in a COMPETENCY CRISIS"
Spot-On!
Gavin Newsom is really putting General Sherman to shame as the nations greatest arsonist.
you forgot mrs. o'leary's cow!!!
Well there's always Nero. We need to have an international focus as well as domestic...
The photos show completely destroyed houses with the trees intact. Familiar.
You mean Hawaii, don't you 🤔
Yes, but also Paradise and some other fires with the same conditions that look purposeful. But who knows. Maybe it's all coincidence. ha.
Hawaii, yes. But also many of the Northern California fires these last several years.
And grass is still green next to the houses...
Are the houses particularly flammable? Or someone ignited the houses?
Stick built and OSB, probably. If any walls survive, they're probably ICF or concrete block. There's plenty of fuel for a hot, hot fire - a steady wind coming up an arroyo or canyon, plus mesquite and eucalyptus - and throw in a few oil palms, and you wind up with Mother Nature's Blowtorch...
Amazing! I don't know how the trees and grasses surrounding the completely destroyed houses survived. It's a miracle. Sarcasm.
Most of them didn't, as you will find out in the weeks to come. Thoroughly dead and burnt trees can stand for years. It's not a miracle. Fact.
And the car wheels melted?
Right. But gullibility was proved with the covid mania.
This is what happens when silly, unserious, and incompetent people are allowed to be in charge. If you allowed your toddler to steer the car, you wouldn’t get mad at the toddler for crashing it. That’s inevitable.

It’s high time for adults to be in charge again.
Should we all live so long...

Every election cycle demonstrates that Californians believe that the price is right.
Exactly what I was thinking

They will all need Presidential pardons. Another late White House night for ole Joe. LoL
there's the ocean, but their equipment probably isn't suited to suck up and spit out saltwater.
and for some reason firefighting planes don't seem to be in use there
They have firefighting planes but winds were 60-80 mph and they can’t fly in those conditions.
How the fuck is the tree in front of the hardware store almost completely intact? How?
Live trees are less likely to burn than dry lumber. We had a fire at a state park about 10 miles from where I live here in TX. The cedars and junipers burned like gasoline. The oaks and elms and some others had less damage. Some have even survived while the surrounding brush burned.
When texas cedar/juniper get to a certain temp the turpenes can explode and the fire can jump from crown to crown. Very exciting!!! In a bad way….
From person experience, fire behavior is seriously weird.
*personal*
Much like tornadoes
I’ve thrown green leaves and fresh branches in a fire and, while it takes some time, the leaves will eventually burn and the bark will char. I don’t see any of that on the tree in front of the store. Just seems very odd there is no damage to it.
anything green and not eucalyptus will generally resist fire, as they are actively sucking up water through their roots.
Catastrophic. I am glad your friend is safe.
Thoughts and prayers to your friends and family Chris. The lack of water is astounding.
No. Same thing happened on Hawaii. 🔥
Incompetence and the DEI clowns are the breach element for the horrors they bring in their train.
Profit from development shall follow.
All that happened from a business/government standpoint is squatters got burnt out .
Sorry to be blunt
Listening to the scanners, they were out of water in the areas of the Palisades at 8pm last night. Ground crews were calling for tankers.
Ok, and no water worked in Hawaii before that.
Get out of there.
