Adding to my last post about covering language that masks the massive expansion of government behind performative language about limiting government: The most Los Angeles thing I have ever seen happened behind the Yoshinoya Beef Bowl.
The homeless drugsters in the alley have no money. No use in arresting them, they can’t pay the fines and court costs. Citing or arresting them doesn’t help payoff the almost $1B LA debt. People who own and can afford to pay for the fuel to drive cars and trucks? That’s another story… those folks can pay the fines. They are REVENUE. We think law enforcement is there to ENFORCE the laws that make civilization possible. Wrong. The vast majority are “revenue generators” for the Regime. Don’t think for a second that LAPD leaders aren’t reminding the beat cops every single day about their quota of citations.
Just throwing this out there, because it would explain a lot. I don't think the voters matter, I think the people that run the vote counting machines are the ones who are putting these useless pieces of garbage in office. it would make a lot more sense, but then again these people could be that stupid. Or a combination of both which is probably even
Dwight D. Eisenhower probably gave the people what they needed, even if it wasn't always what they wanted. He presided over an era of economic growth, and resisted the expansion of the state except with regard to physical infrastructure like interstate highways.
Eisenhower was one of the last true fiscal conservatives, although he didn't do anything about abolishing a top marginal rate of tax which was eye-watering.
They see it. But they are either ensconced in Trauma Bonding, or have found it's dangerous to fight back.
As I wrote yesterday, the whole point of the larger programs of trauma-based mind control is to get people to identify more with their captors than themselves.
Locally (Pugetopolis) I see this nowhere more blatantly than with the issue of the Tramp Industrial Complex.
The Professional Tramp Helpers sound like battered partners/spouses: "I know the poor poor virtuous innocent victim homeless are hurting themselves, and others, and the community, and me, BUT I CAN SAVE HER/HIM/THEM."
Which leads to "Oh no, they are hurting themselves, others, and the community, and me—AGAIN…I must have done something wrong, or didn’t have enough money/programs/services/staff. BUT I CAN SAVE HER/HIM/THEM.”
When individuals do this in relationships it's recognized as trauma bonding, or addictive relationship, or dysfunctional bonding, or whatever.
And forgive me for quoting myself, but I find it unsurprising that the most communistic members of society take on/manifest these behaviors, given the Communist expertise and grounding in this form of manipulation. Abandon yourself; serve your captors; sting to death anything that threatens the hive. The politics based on the hacking of infant wetware/reactions to physical and emotional abuse. The politics of destroying anyone who recognizes the pattern and questions it, or pushes back. Today the Revolution, tomorrow, the Gulag.
Yeah, but they couldn't cheat hard enough in '24, and what Trump is doing now (whether you agree with him or not - I'm pretty lukewarm on the tariffs, myself) is not some sort of any entrenched interest's grand plan.
Noticed a lot of people pushing black pills recently. Not sure why. Assuming you're sincere, look around and then give the Biden years a little bit of thought.
I can’t fathom what you mean about the Biden years….
Why would I rather have workers fund our government, instead of foreign companies hoping to gain access to American markets?- it’s a complete no-brainer. Pre 1913, workers paid 0 income tax and the government had more money than it could spend. There’s no conversation there.
But the most important thing is the elections- else we’ll go back to circling the drain when Trump is gone.
They're too busy showing their virtue off to the world. When you're such an inclusive, accepting, sophisticated citizen, you need to wear it on your sleeve for all to see! They are the "look at me" crowd and they checked whatever is left of their brains at the door.
Dunno man... There's no money in having academics hector white guys, but they do it anyway. They could be reading history or finger painting with their own feces or something, yet that's what they do.
I think they do it because they *can* hector the most compliant people, which is why I ultimately believe that being a complete asshole is the only way out of any of this.
hectoring white guys is a fundamental part of the demoralization agenda intrinsic in a Marxist subversion. People must be divided and must be too demoralized to fight. Many hard core dem white men have been spiritually castrated with all the guilt dumped over their heads- it’s quite sad to see.
💯 this. And if you're just on the edge like I was at the time, couldn't pay the$300 registration on my 30 year old beater because I couldn't fix the emissions, my truck got towed. Then I couldn't pay the daily impound at about$200 a day, so ultimately I lost the truck. The system is totally set up to make revenue off those they think can pay and forget people they know have no money.
There is more than a glimmer of hope here re the Homeless Industrial Complex and its disappearing $$billions$$. Former Assemblyman, now U.S. Atty, Bill Essayli, is on it, and this is very good news. BILLIONS in taxpayer dollars that have been spent on the homeless scam cannot be accounted for. Essayli is a steel-spined prosecutor and his office is investigating. They WILL get to the bottom of this. And a lot of the Usual Suspects WILL go to jail. Listen to the interview to restore hope that this years-long nonsense, courtesy of our criminal politician class (and their "friends") will finally be addressed:
"U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli (on KABC John Phillips Show)"
The prime directive of authority is self-preservation. #2 is convincing others that they are competent as an authority. Protecting you and me is way down that list.
It's a lot easier to prove competence by writing 15-minute traffic tickets than by arresting people (who might be a lot more dangerous than a motorist) for street crimes and dealing with all of that paperwork.
And when the respective cases get to court, traffic cases are a profit center. Street crime cases are a cost center, once the 3 hots and a cot, public defenders, and any rehab costs are factored in.
Traffic enforcement is a show of force in hopes of convincing people to comply. It has zero to do with safety.
Entirely true. While it would be a great help if traffic, including pedestrian traffic, were made more safe, mostly the authorities are looking to ensure the coffers stay topped up.
I’m familiar with that intersection in LA, right by MacArthur Park, a true hellscape. Chris, I’m surprised you’d didn’t mention the open air markets comprised of EZ Up canopies littering the sidewalks for blocks and blocks around that area, blocking sidewalks, depriving brick and mortar businesses their share of commerce, selling food from God-knows-where it was prepared, vendors probably fencing stolen goods, and the guys selling fake Social Security cards and ID. LAPD is told to look the other way, because of equity, and they’re not allowed to question anyone’s immigration status. The socialist council member in charge of that area, Eunysis Hernandez, proclaims crime is down in the area and wants to defund the police to give the money instead to her NGO buddies. This is the City of Los Angeles. Thank you for writing about this, hopefully opening people’s eyes to the destruction of Los Angeles by its elected officials and their policies.
By the way, LAPD is down about 3,000 officers. The city can’t hire anyone because no one wants to work in Los Angeles. LAPD used to be a great police department, but now they are a shadow of their former selves.
The vendors aren't there anymore they put up some fencing to block the space. I literally live 5 blocks from the west side of the park. That area was extremely bad before the fence but the alley is notorious for sex from Wilshire up to 4th Street. These people will walk across the street when ever they feel like it, that's when I hit the gas or pop the clutch to squeal the tires, it gets them moving faster. A friend of mine lives behind there and the only way to access the parking is through that alley.
Selling fake social security cards? Why are our social security cards crap pieces of paper easily duplicated on a cheap color printer with cheap paper. Who benefits?
Social Security cards should be on a plastic card with a security strip on the back that be read into an on-line data base. With an embedded hologram on the front.
In a perfect world that will never exist, social security cards should have photo id that is updated periodically.
If social security isn't neck deep in fraud, I am very disappointed in our criminal class(es).
I stand corrected. I was going off memory from maybe six months ago or more. MacArthur Park still remains a hellhole from what I could tell. I was going to stop at Canter’s Deli but was afraid to park.
They move to saner jurisdictions. How quickly depends on how long till their pension vests. And on the job they do the minimum to keep their job safe, not taking career ending risks such as proactive policing.
Several days ago on a 3 mile stretch of I-10 on the way to Costco, I saw three CHP patrol cars stopping three travelers and (apparently) giving tickets.
So, IMHO, here's the deal...crackheads Hunter Bidening it in the alley = $0
I don’t think it’s the money. Cops don’t get a cut and it seems like they’re unthinking drones in a system devised to create demoralization. Playing a bit part in the whole anarcho-tyranny system. Especially the motorcycle cops.
We tend to like seeing cops ever since the 2020 summer of love disappeared most of them. Consequently my wife smiled and waved at two motorcycle cops recently as she was driving safely and under the speed limit. As a result of attracting their attention she was pulled over and given a ticket for an expired vehicle registration sticker. The cops could see instantly from their computer that the registration was current and fully paid, but she hadn’t yet glued the new sticker on her windshield. See how that works?
There was a story on the news here in Oklahoma about business owners being fined for the garbage of homeless people in the alleyways. The OKC police will not respond to complaints of homeless people trespassing, using drugs, or littering. Meanwhile, code enforcement will fine the business owners. The government has turned it into a win, win situation for them. They don’t have to deal with the issue and they get to increase revenue.
I cannot imagine the hassles I would still be dealing with if I was pulled over with no license and registration let alone 6 illegals in the car. My life would be for a purposes over
On the 10 freeway in LA between the 5 and 110, the Graffiti on buildings is unimaginable.
And next to the freeway just south of the garment district, on 16th, there was wall to wall rv’s parked for homeless, many non movable. And the outdoor swap meet in the garment district was definitely being ignored by code enforcement.
When I visited the la convention center last week, $27 parking, I saw $10 parking on the other side of the 110, with a huge mound of homeless stuff next to the entrance. I paid the $27.
Shame on the cops imo. At what point is their behavior not ok?
Do any of them stop to ask themselves "am I doing right by the public"?
At some point excuses and saying "it's just my job" fails the morality test and the "social contract" they've sworn to uphold...and, indeed benefit from.
I have zero sympathy for them. I'm tired of hearing how the "rank and file" in all our institutions are committed to the mission of the institution and are selfless public servants.
Enoughs enough.
Most have crossed the Rubicon. A spring cleaning is way passed due.
Holy smokes! I’ve been following this mayor’s race on the John Phillips podcast, and I thought for sure, after Oakland residents voted to recall the last mayor for incompetence, they would not vote in Barbara Lee. I should know better, the stupidity of the average voter knows no bounds. Only 40,000 votes were tallied, in a city with a population of about 450,000. 20% of the Oakland population just voted in a nincompoop for mayor. Good lord.
Barbara Lee was inexplicably elected mayor of Oakland because of ranked-choice-voting, a sleight-of-hand election method that is supposed to save money (as if!) by combining primary and general, but whose mathematics no one understands, which (as you know, Chris?) typically results in the worst candidate being "elected" mayor or council member or school board trustee or whatever. The recently recalled mayor Sheng Thao was also elected using ranked-choice-voting and those who supposedly "elected" her immediately hated her and wanted her gone. What does that tell you?
For information, if the cops are told by the prosecutors office they will not take cases the cops won’t make arrests. Same on the Federal level. If the USAO will not authorize arrests for certain cases the LEOs cannot start an investigation. This was the brilliance of the Soros money used to elect liberal prosecutors. These liberal prosecutors are the bottleneck in the system.
It’s a cascade of ass covering. The DA won’t prosecute, the ADAs won’t file, the LAPD command staff want to keep their jobs, it rolls all the way down to the street cops. If your boss is covering his/her ass and would hang you out to dry, why would you risk anything? Stopping some poor schmuck for 48 in a 35 is a no brainer.
"Mr Abrego Garcia's lawyers say that he was granted the status based on his 'well-founded' fear of persecution by Barrio-18, the main rival gang of MS-13."
Weird that he would be afraid of a rival gang when he's for sure not a gang member.
In reality, the court took him and his family at their word. SUPPOSEDLY B18 was hassling the family because of their home business, so they 'sent him away'......but the family kept running the biz afterward.
I am skeptical. (Especially since Garcia didn't mention this until he was arrested.)
Great stack. There are a few comments on here about the police and how they might be at fault for participating in this leftist cray cray. I have a few relatives, including one of my daughters, in top law enforcement and I've done 21 ride-alongs; The cops are all going nuts and all have crazy depressing stories. So once they've learned the ropes and disillusionment has sunk in, many bolt for greener pastures and are usually quickly hired, and appreciated, but still run the risk of one bad traffic stop that changes their life. Many things these days break my heart, but one that stands out for me was watching the video of Floyd resisting arrest for a half hour, ending with Chauvin (sp?) with one foot on Floyd's back while calmly waiting for the - ambulance - coming for Floyd. That cop's in prison for the rest of his life and is reviled, and Floyd was given statues. Stuff like that is on every single cop's mind all shift, all career.
Police cam video showing Floyd downing the fentanyl that killed him in his arrest was deemed not admissible by the deranged judge that presided over that case. Two autopsy’s both listed the cause of Floyd’s death as fentanyl overdose.
The late ambulance was the result of a screw up by the emergency dispatcher.
All facts neglected by the MSM in order to villainize the cops.
I admit, until I saw the documentary “What Really Happened in Minneapolis”, I thought Chauvin was at least guilty of delaying medical help. It turns out that one of the first things the cops on the scene did was call for help.
You're so right, and it's always shocking to see the parts of the story they intentionally left out. I'll never forget the night I sneak watched an internal NBC feed of the FULL video of Rodney King's arrest. This was roughly 1 year later, and suddenly I knew how naive I had been to think that what they show us is what happened. And it's gotten worse these days now that they can lie on more than three networks.
Walked into my vacation home in the Appalachians yesterday to find mouse droppings all over the kitchen, and a random sprinkle of the same on most of the floors and furniture in the home.
Now, the place sits at the edge of a hay field blooming and seeding and sprouting with excellent mouse food, not to mention a world of juicy, crunchy, crawling bugs. For the East, it's a large parcel; there are woods and fields, well-watered with open streams. It's mouse heaven. Little poopster had to gnaw his way in and crap on my dishes, my counters, in my sink, on top of my fridge. Food? I don't even leave soap out. You'd rather clean up their little dry turds than mouse diarrhea, take my word for it.
So.
I got a good look at him this morning, big healthy fella, glossy, well-fed. Mouse heaven wasn't good enough for him, he had to come and drop his mess on me. I could tell he was alert and quick, too, because the trap caught him right across the top of the skull instead of breaking his neck as it is designed to do. He was jumping back as it snapped, just a hair too slow. I regret the loss of his place in the chain; now an owl goes hungry because this mouse was stupidly nosy. Nothing personal, just bringing closure to the poop-agation.
But.
Let's say I find out my neighbor is trapping mice in his fields and releasing them into my crawl space at night. This is the important part, don't miss it: Now I no longer have a mouse problem. I have an enemy. Let's say my enemy inveigles nature lovers to outlaw mouse traps-- you know, the kind of nature lovers who have mostly experienced nature through viewing Disney films; think mice are cute, that crowd. This is also important, and no, you haven't gotten it yet:
My problem is still the same guy, the enemy bringing the mice.
Now I will tell you how this ends.
It ends with me disabling my enemy's power to harm me, or it ends with me being overrun.
**** **** ****
We do not have a dilemma, we have an existential question.
It's not that the answer is vague, it's that we do not want to face up to it. Decrying the mice does not help. Sneering at our enemy's stupid tools in government is fun but pointless. We are under attack. We can fight, or we can give up.
We found a mountain of sunflower seed shells in the wayback of our Subaru, enough to fill a 3-gallon bucket. We don't store sunflower seeds in the car, they're in a galvanized can in the garage. We've tried to imagine how the mice get the seeds in the first place, and then why they carry them almost 50 feet out of the garage and into the car to eat them. Seems like way too much effort if you ask me, but then I'm not a mouse, and they clearly have more free time than I do.
Just got back from the UK; for entry to England I had to fill out a special gov’t form for all family members (20 pounds each I think) at the end of which I had to answer whether I or my family had ever supported violent extremism. Not sure whether, had I answered Yes, it would’ve made customs easier. They are not exactly asking all the folks showing up through the chunnel and on boats the same questions.
The random pat down of my 13 year old twice at EDI was great too. Definitely a possible ISIS terror plant.
Why isn't it raining all the time in LA? Just like in Blade Runner. What you describe is dystopian and I wonder at how people will recover from the haze? Because it has to turn around at some point, I don't think society can survive very well in these conditions. Unfortunately, it might turn out to be a 'Falling Down' event.
When it starts to make Leftist look bad, they rejigger the rig so it looks like they really do care. They made meth, cocaine, LSD, heroin misdemeanors in Oregon, then they set up a free statewide addiction recovery program, when their voters and pool of professional protesters started dying like flies. 🙄
Much like votes, crime statistics depend on who does the counting and how they classify the crime. When they legalize cannabis in Oregon the MSM said crime went down, but in studying the statistics of violent crime, it was easy to see violent crime increased. If you don’t count rapes, the numbers change. You think any MSM journalist is going to put it on a spreadsheet and analyze it? Nope.
Interesting parallel to Orwell's "1984." If you remember, in the novel, there were entire sections of the city that were not monitored. These were the proles, who were allowed to engage in their distractions, diversions., et. al., basically seen as harmless. But the middle and upper management people in the social stratum -- including Winston, of course -- are held to an exacting standard of conformance to Big Brother.
In North County SanDiego.. the cops watch migrants jump out of boats and run . Then the woman delivers a baby in Amerikah , nice new anchor baby . Our taxes , hard at work . This BS is not sustainable.
The homeless drugsters in the alley have no money. No use in arresting them, they can’t pay the fines and court costs. Citing or arresting them doesn’t help payoff the almost $1B LA debt. I see a lot of black pilling atm as well. My instinct is to ascribe some of it to Blob psyop.
Trump is barely getting started. The Blob that fought him (and us) since 2016 still exists.
It's fair enough to criticize Trump even if we see that "Biden" was far worse ...

I heard the mob boss will be running for President of the USA.
The is a lot more danger dealing with homeless drugsters, both personal injury and professional, than giving traffic tickets for police in LA.

I cannot imagine the hassles I would still be dealing with if I was pulled over with no license and registration let alone 6 illegals in the car. My life would be for a purposes over
But not if you were illegal too. The Dems would be falling all over themselves to virtue signal on your behalf.
Right the law is only enforced on those attempting to live within it.
Thank you Chris ,I star to eel like I’m going crazy and then you save me with your confirmation of what I’m seeing ..
This week on Tuesday: a completely naked lady dancing downtown. First a security guard walked by her. Then the police drove by and laughed.
Thursday a tent city directly directly in front of mental health court. I’m still speechless from the irony
But then the cops would say WHY ON EARTH DID YOU ELECT GEORGE GASCON!?!?!?
In other news, Oakland just elected Barbara Lee as their new mayor.
https://www.politico.com/news/2025/04/19/barbara-lee-wins-oakland-mayors-race-00299711
We just can't wake the zombies.
Yeah. I dunno. It would be too much of a beat-down for me to continue doing that which I know is at odds with my ethical code.
Well, she's better than London Breed. Which I know isn't saying much. But Lee was calling out the Deep State on 9/11...back on 9/11.
Yeah. I get it. It's unfortunate. I guess what I'm saying is i just couldn't do it and sleep at night.
Trust me. It was frustrating when I was on the job. I cannot imagine what they are having to put up with these days.
Is it legal/constitutional for the prosecutor's office to just go "nope, we ain't gonna take cases for crimes ABC"?
Not American, so I wouldn't know.
It’s been done for years.
It is literally impossible to prosecute all crime. DA's pick and choose.
Ditto that for the FBI agents out arresting grandmothers for conspiring to take down the government at their local Catholic church.
It’s a cascade of ass covering. The DA won’t prosecute, the ADAs won’t file, the LAPD command staff want to keep their jobs, it rolls all the way down to the street cops. If your boss is covering his/her ass and would hang you out to dry, why would you risk anything? Stopping some poor schmuck for 48 in a 35 is a no brainer.
https://x.com/realTomPappert is on this story and should be getting the bodycam footage from that stop "soon".
I want to know why this guy is simply allowed to walk when driving without a license. Maybe I'll re-read this article........
See also this detailed report from the BBC:
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c1k4072e3nno.amp
...which offers the most fascinating detail:
"Mr Abrego Garcia's lawyers say that he was granted the status based on his 'well-founded' fear of persecution by Barrio-18, the main rival gang of MS-13."
Weird that he would be afraid of a rival gang when he's for sure not a gang member.
Fascinating to watch the whole performance.
In reality, the court took him and his family at their word. SUPPOSEDLY B18 was hassling the family because of their home business, so they 'sent him away'......but the family kept running the biz afterward.
I am skeptical. (Especially since Garcia didn't mention this until he was arrested.)

Exactly what I said when I saw that!
It turns out that one of the first things the cops on the scene did was call for help.
chauvin was shanked multiple times in prison and almost bled to death
That was the plan…
You're so right, and it's always shocking to see the parts of the story they intentionally left out. I'll never forget the night I sneak watched an internal NBC feed of the FULL video of Rodney King's arrest. This was roughly 1 year later, and suddenly I knew how naive I had been to think that what they show us is what happened. And it's gotten worse these days now that they can lie on more than three networks.
F. Wolf , Dr. Kory was the expert witness in that case . Quite disappointed.
Re: mice
Anarcho-tyranny for sure.
It's amazing how crime statistics go down when crimes are...decriminalized.
Nope.
Trust the Science!!
Just like the Dems claim voter fraud doesn’t happen. Easy to say when they don’t look for it!
Remember how Rahm Emanuel caused Chicago's crime rates to plummet so miraculously in the early 2010s?
https://archive.ph/lhznG
So there was some positive trimming of the voter rolls? Let's not be too hasty to condemn (LoL).
